Sounds like a skill issue to me, tbh. (jk, ofc) Y'all should know that the Carrara Marble can also be used to clip through ceilings. I used it during the run I found this trick to leave in the middle of the Providence fight. That said, you can also use it to get back into the ship through the right side of the armory, and again to door skip back into the pilot house, so there isn't actually a softlock there (Though it does kinda trivialize the fight).
you can access storage through the broken window and then using the same path get on top of the ship and go around it to access cabin from the front you'll need a couple of feathers and movement speed or just loader
There's actually more than one varient of the last level (I've encountered two until now), one of them has the window sealed, but it has a hidden rope instead that leads into the storage room

On account of needing to bypass the cards. Picking up a card with the duplicator gives you a temp copy of the card, and it is only consumed when the timer runs out, meaning you can open all doors with one temp copy (if you’re fast enough).
The doors on the far left can be opened by just using their control panels, since they don't have an associated holdout. Also, the med-bay, cabin, and cargo holds all have holes in them that can be accessed without using their doors, though for they all require varying amounts of mobility to access this way (the med-bay especially). Finally, you can actually activate multiple holdout events at the same time without a noticeable detriment, so if you just want to get to all of the rooms, it may be worth just activating all of the doors anyways.
I remember a ror1 speedrun trick where you ran into the edge of the map at a specific point and it spawned you back into the providence arena, it was performed by getting on top of the ship via the top spawn room and making your way over to the top of the providence arena then jumping off on the right hand side of the arena and running into the edge of the map. Im assuming it dosent work in ror returns as it was the main speedrun strategy and made the contact light take about 15 seconds to complete if you spawned in the top room.
You needed to also be holding up to grab a rope there. How it roughly worked was running off map quickly moves you back to spawn, during this movement though if you positioned properly, you could grab a rope. You now seem to teleport to certain spots near where you fall instead of the game moving you back to your spawn location.
The Carrara Marble can be used for more than just a door skip. The way the item works is that if you're airborne, it'll place the little teleport marker on the nearest qualifying piece of ground. This means you can use it to make jumps you don't have enough verticality for, and even go through ceilings as well. (Self plug) I posted a little video of the run where I found the trick, and I use it to leave the arena during the Providence fight (among a couple other things). Thankfully, since it also works as a door skip, you can use it to get back into the pilot house so you won't get softlocked.
It really hardly matters compared to the pillars because the thirty second timer really isn’t that big of a deal compared to skipping all 4 pillars at once
@@Galacticaknight201you save 30 seconds to a minute regardless. If you spawn in a room with an access key, you can straight up teleport directly into the boss room by jumping off the cliff in the cabin and using the marble. It puts it inside the boss room
Don't know if anyone comment, but if you manage to go from top of the ship to the arena, you could use the equipment to spawn the gateway in arena, while in midair bellow the arena, basically ignoring both doors, but you need artificer with the second movement skill or feathers/jetpacks...
I did manage to clip into the walls using Pilot’s alt movement ability just above the hidden passage to the lower log. Only the wall boundaries are solid and you can jump into key card rooms through the floor at that point. How reliable this is… absolutely no clue!
You can also teleport directly into the boss room as long as you have a single key card. Jumping off the cliff in the cabin and using it places a marble teleport point into the boss room. With enough mobility, you dont need a card at all as you can jump to the top of the ship and go around to the cabin.
Some characters can clip out of bounds easily as well, which allows them to completely skip doors with minimal setup required. Arti with their alt shift skill, and a bit of ability help (afterburner, alien head, cooldown refresh items, etc) you can wedge yourself into unpassable terrain by spamming it while jumping diagonally up and into a corner. It's really easy, consistent, and helpful if you know what you are doing with it. It's also good for finding secrets and whatnot.
But you need to wait 45s for the marble to recharge, so technically its still slower than waiting on the event when considering the double door before providence arena (The only 2 locked doors that are 100% required to open on the contact light). You're only really avoiding the enemies, which doesn't even seem all that worth it considering you need to sacrifice your entire equipment slot to do it, which could be replaced with another damaging equipment, which in turn might make skipping the enemies actually even harder than just doing it normally. The only way I see this skip being viable is if you're going for an any% run and somehow luckily found a marble on temple of elders/on the contact light itself.
I found a way to skip any and all doors. Miner especially. With enough speed and heat you can just phase through walls. Kinda have a vid on my channel against Providence ewhere I constantly phase through the walls. Not advertising, just demosntration and stuff
Unless you're playing with Command active I'm not sure how viable a timesave this is considering Carrara Marble is still an equipment item with a large cooldown. It probably won't be ready in time for the first door to the bridge after you first use it to escape the room you spawn in but I suppose it might be ready again for you to bypass the second door... You'd need to command yourself a lot of Rapid Mitosis for this to really be useful.
Skipping even a single door saves half a minute. If you come into the stage with with equipment, you should still be able to save up to a minute of time, even if you only use the marble for the second door to the boss room.
i dont know i could trow things im providence arena i just fight extremely slowly with poison and strange fruit and i win in my fist (tentativa) almost died a lot the poison bubble and 3 jumps saved me a lot
Even with the cooldown, you save time. Say there are two doors back to back. It would take you a minute normally, but with this tech it would only take you 40 seconds or shorter depending on what items you have.
It's cool and all but the fact that you need a specific use item, wait for the cd of it and enough money for the chests which you get by doing the doors anyways makes it pretty pointless imo

2 30 second timers just before the boss if you can get around all the others. at least a minute which is huge to speed runners

the air locks on the outside on the very back of the map on the first rooms don't have a teleporter event, you can just open them with the panel.
