Ok so I had a small oil leak start about 3 days ago today I started my vehicle warmed it up started driving for about 10 15 minutes and the a banging noise happened sounds like a banging clanking noise coming from top of engine but hard to tell could this be the problem ? I'm trying to find different sounds to compare mine to those but alot of youtube videos is mostly just saying repairs without letting us hear the noise
I suppose it could be, there’s only one way to find out and taking the valve covers off is easy enough, the gaskets are reusable as they are rubber. The bolts on mine stripped when I was backing them out to make the oil leak repair, so if you had/did some work then it’s certainly a possibility they got stripped and it when unnoticed.
@@Sirskullet see I'm not very knowledgeable on diesel mechanics I'm decent with gas vehicles but kinda scared to mess with my diesel truck it doesnt look to hard but kinda worried I might mess it up more, if this is the problem what should I expect to pay to get it fixed?
I honestly don’t know what a mechanic would charge but I do know they think highly of themselves it could be thousands, this is why I do all my own work. Can you tell which side it’s coming from?
The same thing just happened to me tonight 2 of mine are stripped . Hopefully tomorrow all goes well
