No they go north up the coast and branch out via Sydney Freight Terminal and then head south on the South Sydney Freight line and on to the Main South line however when they return empty they descend down the Unanderra - Moss Vale line.

It saves about 3x fuel going back up to Sydney then south but adds a solid 3hrs to the trip..
