Episode 5: Alison Gives Advice with Tinx
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 лис 2023
- Alison is joined this week by Tinx - author, podcast host of It’s Me, Tinx, and beloved advice giver. They respond to questions from callers about screen addiction (it’s real), how to reinforce self-confidence in girls, and whether greek yogurt is a swap for sour cream (not on a baked potato, it’s not). Tinx and Alison learn they share the same secret to a successful dinner party - and that they have very different martini orders. Call 856-502-4816 to solicit advice on a future episode. Production by Redd Rock Music. Solicited Advice is brought to you with distribution and revenue support from the Talkhouse Network.
Clicking to support, love ya Alison! My kind 2¢ (looking at the comment section) is that maybe UA-cam is not the platform for podcasts. There are other platforms to do so, but I see how you'd want to share your passions across the board. I think cooking videos are comforting to a lot of people, including me. A lot of creatives are taking on podcast and abandoning what was offered first. It's a different transition, but here to support!
I think lots of people like to listen to content on UA-cam, it's not just for watching, so for those folks this is just as good of a platform as Spotify or Apple Music. I think the difference here is that people can comment.
Reminds me of FM radio.
Literally gasped out loud! The greatest cross-over to grace the Internet lately, clicked that thumbs up button so fast 💕
The amount of times I've said "If not, Tito's is fine" is shocking.
Love you Alison, but I really wish you would start cooking again, I miss your recipes.
I couldn’t agree more!
Yes please, give your advice with a recipe.
@@lisaanderson135do you think it’s to encourage more cookbook sales? Good marketing, but frustrating to some of us.
She's already said that she's currently working on the Thanksgiving special
Yeah HERE’s some advice: be humble and have some humility. You might be kinda successful, but acting like you’re in the position to coach anyone on anything outside of cooking is getting very tough to watch.
I would watch GIRLS with you any freaking day! Gd I miss that show minus the last episode because it was awful lol ❤
Please do a cooking video with Tinx.❤
Literally GASPED with delight at two of my favs together!!! Now drinking a martini in celebration 🎉 keep it coming queens!
I’m obsessed with you, we can’t have a meal around here without A L I S O N R O M A N
name coming up. You are my “twin” aesthetically & attitudishly. Note,I’m 72 but “who cares”, us “old” people aren’t so different, hopefully someday you’ll see that in your future. Love everything about you, you made me love to cook…set me free!💕
These comments are kinda crazy, this isn’t a home movies “replacement”, this is just extra content in what would otherwise be an empty void while she’s busy actually FILMING the thing y’all want to see. It’s also like not always fun to do the same thing, she’s trying a different medium for awhile? who cares lol
❤
When will you return to cooking???? Miss the visuals…..
I stopped listening right when I heard the work from office spiel lol
Yeah not the platform. Do a podcast somewhere else !
No video this time? No thanks
Please go back to your cooking videos. I don't find these to be a true showcase for your talents
Maybe Alison thought that, as an "auteur" and elite former NYT and CNN+ "celebrity" that just being another middling cooking channel on UA-cam was beneath her. This relationship stuff is nonsense and a some kind of a grab for relevance I guess.
we remember how she stopped being those things 😅
@@rexiioper6920 Well not everything is going to be for everybody... personally I think Alison is very entertaining and I enjoy this side of her work in addition to Home Movies and her published work. Sometimes someone has a career and what they were 1, 2, 5, 10 years ago is not who they are now. Respectfully, expecting that a creative professional who you have gotten used to seeing in a particular capacity on the internet will be the same person always and forever is unrealistic. Folks should be allowed to explore different formats and avenues.
