Technically- yes. Realistically- no. Snakes in general are naturally passive, which is why it backed up when it had a camera (and then jeremy's face) in it. They will avoid fighting at all cost, since trying to kill him would just use up a ton of energy.

Well with a snake that big that pretty much lives in the water, it is kind of hard to startle it really. More often than less, the snake sees you before you see it. So the only real reason for that snake to attack would be if it was REALLY hungry, or if he actually tried to catch it.

Blaze Smith it is perfectly natural to be afraid, that is a natural thing humans do. I'm also scared of big ass spiders, deep water with unknown creatures swimming below me, and, of course, dying. I respect the two guys who actually went under water filled with caimans and piranhas, and got face to face with a 20 foot snake. But, I would never do any of that.

Why do they make these amazing delicate reptiles look like vicious scary monsters?
Anacondas aren't "delicate."
Nick Carlson being to it as it may, they can't adapt to dryer more cold climates like Burmese pythons can, so I'd say they need a bit more perfect replication to their actual living conditions than other big constrictors, so they're a bit more delicate when in captivity

I just thought about that but what if the Anaconda is able to feel every movement in the water? It uses it's sense of taste of the air around it to find its prey, maybe it is using the same technique to detect a predator. It probably was able to find you the second you stepped into that lake. Mother nature at it's finest!
