    I already have 10,000 miles on my 2022 Jeep Gladiator ecoDiesel. Loving it a lot. The sound and the power is so good. Im running 37's and it has no issues pooling itself. Still waiting on the fuel pump to be replaced.

      Thats awesome to hear! Its such a nice powertrain upgrade from the gas. Very happy with the diesel engine, now we just have to see how long ours last haha Call Jeep Wave and have them move you up in line for the fuel pump, worked for me.

    Love my 2023 Eco diesel. Make sure and run a fuel additive that lubricates the fuel pump or you’ll be killing it again. Redline 85+, arch oil makes one hot shots, EDt , power service. These are the best ones I’ve found.

    My 2021 Wrangler Sport Unlimited EcoDiesel now has 57,000 miles on it. I did get my new fuel pump at the end of 2023 and was glad nothing went wrong with it when I had almost 50,000 on it. I have found not much need for upgrades except for a 2 1/2 inch lift and 33 inch tires instead of the 31 inch tires that came with it. I have plenty of ground clearance and can go almost anywhere I want to go. I have had only 1 issue with it and that was caused by me. I tried to flush a wood rat out from under the hood with a power wash. Don't do that. 17 codes ended up appearing and it took 2 weeks to dry out and run properly. I love the sound of the diesel engine. The low end torque is fantastic. I can crawl up steep hills at just over an idle without wheel spin. If I had one wish it would be front lockers. My limited slip rear diff works very well but an open diff in the front leaves me a little short but probably keeps me out of trouble. Oh and I would also wish for a easy sway bar disconnect, too. So, for all the nay sayers about the reliability of the EcoDiesel I say it ain't failed me yet. My Wrangler keeps on going.

      Wow that is a great warning about washing under the hood! I'll make sure to take care if I ever do that. Oddly enough, I did find an animal nest under there recently too. The diesel sure does sound nice thought! Full lockers will be down the road for me, I already have the ARB dual air compressor installed so I'll run air lockers front and rear at some point. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks so much for the detailed video! QQ, from the comments I see a lot of people talking about the fuel pump replacement, is this something that needs to be done relatively often?

    • @LifeOutdoors
      @LifeOutdoors  Місяць тому

      Appreciate you washing! The fuel pump replacement was a one time recall! They had an issue with some of the stock ones so they modified it and it shouldn’t need replacement for a long time now.

    Great review, I’ve been thinking about starting to look for an eco diesel gladiator, this was really comprehensive! For the tires and mpg, are those 35s? And what would you say is the range for a full tank? Also do you think you’d do an interior review, have you made any mods to the interior yet besides wiring or switch panels?

    • @LifeOutdoors
      @LifeOutdoors  8 місяців тому +1

      Appreciate that! They are 35's (35x12.5R17) and the fuel range depending on the type of driving I'm doing is right around 400 miles. As for the interior, I havent done much at all because I came from a wrangler JK and the JT felt like such a big interior upgrade that it really hasnt been necessary to change. I can do a walk through of my storage spaces and what I'm using them for at some point down the road. Thanks for watching!

    Do you have a tuner on the engine & do you use any fuel additives ? My diesel Liberty picked up a couple miles per gallon with AMS/oil cetane boost & their all-in-one cleaner & lubricity additives. 3 mpg with GDE tuner too.

    • @LifeOutdoors
      @LifeOutdoors  2 місяці тому

      No tuner or additives but it's something I thought about! Tuner will come after some modifications following the expiration of my 100K warranty but ill have to look into additives before I get to that number

    • @davidchristensen2898
      @davidchristensen2898 2 місяці тому

      I have 304,000 miles on my Liberty & my personal opinion is that American diesel needs some help. Especially on an emission controlled engine. Your regen events will be fewer because the fuel will burn more completely. I’m currently getting 32-33 mpg on level ground with light winds.

    • @LifeOutdoors

    My 2022 Ecodiesel Rubicon is at 62k miles. I also average 22mpg. No problems with it so far. Just one minor thing: my DEF gauge for some reason only goes up to 75% even when the DEF tank is full.

    • @chrisbaeppler3873
      @chrisbaeppler3873 9 місяців тому

      What tires are you running? I have stock Rubi wheels and I get 25 mpg when I drive poorly. 28 when I behave. I have new fuel pump and Green Diesel Engineering tune.

    • @LifeOutdoors
