In a short period large swell like this you are just paddling around dodging the bombs, battling current and offshore wind doing anything you can to get in position for the ones that will actually hit the bank. So when one pops up that looks close to makeable you say fu**it and go. These guys deserve your respect.

Shoulder hopping Puerto is a bad idea and only someone who hasn't surfed there would suggest it.
@ Nobody said anything about shoulder hopping. Finding an entry fast enough to generate the speed doesn't mean taking off in another country.
