I was a fire dancer once upon a time in Knoxville Tennessee. This guy totally inspired me to follow fire dancing. I'm glad a clip of this still exists.
I used to be one aswell, Mr. Woolsey still is the one of the main reasons I started, and i cannot say how much still i aspire to go back to that. Feeling so old saying that this is one of the first videos circulating when youtube was big news... still feel that way It hits differently, can t say it otherwise
I could not tell you the amount of times I've watched this video, even if I wanted to. I first saw Nick poi 3 years ago online and immediately wanted a pair. I started out with a set of pod poi, not knowing anyone who poi'd, being in the navy at the time, and I hit myself in the nuts for about 6 months straight hah. Luckily, I stayed with it and can honestly say it will be a lifelong love of mine. Just wanted to say this video is an inspiration, as is your love for what you do and the flawless form that makes your performances look more like dance. Thank you Nick!
What I love about Nick is that he actually dances to the music with his poi, combining awesome skill with awesome musicality. What a fantastic role model!
I bought the DVD from Nick awhile ago that had this video on it, and watching it again today, it reaffirms the fact that he is just the best poi dancer I've ever seen.
What I love about Nick is that he can take the most simple tricks, but make them look sooo beautiful! He has something beyond the concepts and it really shows.
started spinning poi 5 years ago watching nick's videos and was fortunate enough to get to take a class he was teaching in costa rica for a couple of years back to back; got to hang out w/ him afterwards as well as one of the other best fire spinners on the planet "Eli Montezuma". The common denominator among the two would be their not only world class spinners,,they are some of the most humble guys i've ever met and had the privilege to spin poi w/. cheers to Nick!
By far the best fire poi video ive ever seen. Everytime I need inspiration or ever motivation to keep spinning I always check this video out. Its seriously amazing
Nick you're amazing! And not only amazing at poi but I can just feel the positive vibrations from you even over the Internet. Just wanted to stop to say thank you for all the instructional videos. As a beginner, they are very informative and inspiring :)
who would give this a thumbs down? it's amazing and takes a lot of talent. Shame on the people who gave this thumbs down. I don't know this guy but I recognize the hard work he put into this art form
i think its because this is a repost without even giving a credit link to nick woolseys playpoi youtube channel. but yeah doesnt deserve a thumbs down, i agree.
Hello Nick, your poi talent is really extraordinary, I am really astonished by this video, and would appreciate your efforts on poi and the synchronization between your poi and the lovely music is fabulous.
he is not the official account of Nick woolsey he is one of best poi dancer in the world i purchased his full courses still even can't finish all the secrete of poi dancing
he dances very well, i am amazed. I really appreciated this vid after the second viewing, very nice job Nick ! Plz post another one of your dances on youtube (all the tuto are not enough ;p)
LazerPhreak orbitals actually aren't that hard to do. atleast getting into them and once you are in its easy to move it around your head. exiting them cleanly which Nick does is the really hard part.
A lot of the moves that he performs may not be very technical, but he has such awesome mastery and control over them that he can do many things with those simple moves.
Your performances and spinning are always on next level.U inspire, teach, and spread great vibe :) You are inspiration to all of us :) I cannot tell U how happy I am while watching your videos.U`re the master!
Un favor, podrían pasarme el dato de la música, me envolvió. who is the artist in music? help me please... bonne il vibre.
@DsWill719 apparently not. According to Nick, it's not the fire that would burn you, but the metal that's close to the fire. However, you'll lose some arm hair if you have any. I'm not an expert, I'm just quoting Nick.
Well....... he still tells who is in the video. Credit is given. And I don't think Nick would mind that. It's not like Milos ripped one of Nick's DVDs and uploaded the rips...

Everything about this video is awesome. I have watched and enjoyed it countless times.
Nick Woolsey weaves magic with his hands.

I can't believe he stays on the beat in a 3/4 time signature song... His ability to slow down and speed up the poi just enough, realy does it for me.
By far the best fire poi video ive ever seen. Everytime I need inspiration or ever motivation to keep spinning I always check this video out. Its seriously amazing
I just cannot get enough of this video! LOVE Nick! The music is Bad A**!
this is one of the best videos i have seen of him.

Beautiful dance
This is the difference between doing a series of tricks and fire dancing.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Nick Woolsey is the best!!!
nice job lots of work
Poi masters are always unpredictable, I feel thats the difference between a master and the rest of the spinning crowd
Maximum Poi-tential reached.
He's my all-time fav spinner alongside Yuta. My dream's to watch him live or attend his workshops(though I'm afraid I'm not good enough) :)
en definitiva de los mejores del mundo, se muestra también él y no sólo el malabar. Un favor, podrían pasarme el dato de la música, me envolvió.
who is the artist in music? help me please...
bonne il vibre.
I love that he has big a smile on his face the whole time, that's exactly how I would feel if I were doing that.
This is my first time seeing this video of Nick. Amazing spinning as always....but...I've never seen a video of Nick NOT dancing all around. Odd.
Envious of them extensions and well half your moves lol !
you can get kevlar tubes to pull over the last third of the chain to protect yourself form getting burnt.thats very usefull if you like doing wraps

I would agree, yes top 5 at least. I'd say Alien Jon, and Zan are also in that catagory.....who else would you include?

@DsWill719 nick puts some kind of damp cloth on the end of the chain so that he won't get burned by the metal.
