It's "lot of work" when you're new, but can always take a post-expedition game in order to get better starts. Right now i'm doing 4 weekend missions and buying lots of stuff with the Quicksilver. Kinda fine with It.

Im new player I found a planet with low gravity and full of gravitino balls in my second system, I just go with empty inventory and stack up, every trip I make 13-15M,I made a base too if anyone needs it, there are a lot of sentinels but with low gravity it is easy to run way from them and keep collecting
I've been experimenting with stasis devices, I made about 300 million from one batch, it takes quite a while but once you've got a good source of materials it's not too bad. The plants are the worst.
Since everything was nerfed my activated indium base is only worth around 50m now. but, 50m/day for something that only takes a couple of minutes isn't bad. It takes quite a bit of setup but, stasis devices and fusion ignitors are still worth a lot. You also should have a good oxygen base you can use to expand other resources. Mine has around 85k units of storage. The Interceptor is a really good way. I got over 200m from one location and almost all of the ships was C class. I've been starting a lot of saves lately. I'll play them for a few hours and delete them. My focus is getting the economy scanner at the first crashed ship I find. I also like to scrap at least one crashed ship before I get invited to the space station. I also like to get emeril and if I take the time I'll get indium also. Emeril so when I warp the first time I can install the indium drive. Indium so when I can get the large refiner I can refine all the chromatic metal I need at 30X. I also get buried technology to buy thing s like wiring loom so I can install the advanced mining laser.
@@Surr3alD3sign No not speed running. I just wanted to start new saves. Originally I was going to delete the save when I repaired the ship. Then it seemed a waste to not do anything. I usually play until I get bored with the save or decide to stop playing.
New player myself. Ive found trade be worthwhile as well. Made my first millions. You need an economy scanner on your ship and scan for oppurtinities. Fly to a system buy their stock. Fly to the target system where the goods are needed. You can make up millions in profits. Howevwr you need to fly back and forth and find systems where there are plenty of goods. I now need to learn how to reliably setup trade between different systems.
I LOVE trade routes. I did a video on it as well, they're actually really fun and an awesome way to travel around and explore. What people do to setup reliable routes that can be reused is drop portals at each trading post you want to use, and then only sell to the pilots so you don't mess up the economy. The terminals refill every two hours or so, so you can make a couple of loops and hit them as you play.
@@DreadCaptainJames great idea my brain didnt come out with that yet. Iight just put up a base since my trade outpost is also an extreme weather planet 😁
If you are constantly going for the Tier 3 rich systems, i suggest filling a ship with the same components from the same economy type from different systems so you can sell them in one go where they are desirable, making much more units per sell. For example collecting from three manufacturing systems before selling them in high tech, and subsequently doing it as the loop goes. I found way more efficient as i was starting selling for 15~20 Million about 5 stacks of the same item and exploring a lot farther into the galaxy. I did about 90 million tripping about 10 systems, besides it's pretty fun.
My favourite way to make money may not be the most efficient but it makes me feel like a galactic drug lord, i have a basement filled with nipnip bud farming and those line lights and i just fill a storage container with them making me around 45-50 million when filled
I found it profitable to harvest eggs of the Biological horrors. Find abandoned outpost, shoot and collect eggs. Sells for millions. Also can shoot the monsters as well to get their flesh and livers.
Funny story but I first found the whispering eggs on a creative save so I didn’t know about the biological horrors. I found out the hard way during an expedition!
Awesome video! I watched your mine video however that was on uranium. How do I find oxygen to set up my mine? Do I just look for an oxygen hotspot and make my mine over that? Thanks
Just a reminder of the bio horrors qnd those whispering eggs. 10 of those can be refined for 500 nanites. Just evade the buggers and collect eggs. They also sell for a lot but the nanites are fantastic
Put couple of S-tier upgrades to your scanner. Get thousands of percents increase in rewards for scanning minerals, fauna and flora and you can stack and combine those bonuses. If you do it properly, you can be getting hundreds of thousands of units for each rare scan and tens of thousands for a normal scan. Visit a new planet, perform couple of scans and you can buy a freighter. Doing science is insanely OP in this game.
Great tips! However, I wish you would've told us that there isn't necessarily a downed interceptor in a dissonant system. I just found out. Still searching for a dissonant system with a downed interceptor...
That's a very fair point that slipped my mind, sorry about that. Yeah, the planet that's dissonant needs LIFE on it for there to be a downed interceptor, and I believe systems that are uninhabited also won't have them. Sorry again, totally goofed on that!

Ooooh, can I suggest another option? Gold, silver, and Indium refined together make chromatic metal at a 1:30 ratio...that might be a brilliant way to work, but would require much more setup.
@@deadpancakelinus it's great for making tons of chromatic metal for next to nothing being used. Never thought of selling it though, so that's a super cool idea!
If you're fine with duplicating items I know a method that will give you billions in a few minutes. This method will duplicate almost anything in the game but these are worth the most. Item: Compressed Indium Scraps (CIS for short) Step 1: Place the CIS in a portable refiner Step 2: Place a second portable refiner where the first one still is and line it up as close as you can Step 3: When you pick up the hoppers, what was in only one is now in all of them. *Repeat as desired* Step 4: Sell the items and remember that the value is about to drop significantly, so you will need to find a new system each time. Do that and you will have unlimited money with minimal effort.

Probably interceptors would be the best, or using the scanner on the Nautilon to locate underwater crashed ships. You can get them up and running and back up to the station really quickly where you can scrap them.
Do cargo runs in a freigher - it can yield several millions per jump if you find generously supplied system and a starving one.
