That’s wonderful! My niece has a masters degree in art.
You never have to explain anything to anyone about what you purchase. I just appreciate you inviting us into your home. Thank you for always being so kind and thoughtful. You have such a beautiful family.
Don’t apologize for the heart baskets. Sometimes pieces just speak to you. ❤
For the glare on the glass, you can replace it with museum glass and you have as much reflection.
I love how you are always thinking of the boys. You are such a sweet mommy! Make a heart cake for Mike! I do love the baskets! Glad you bought them!
I love the tiny vases w/ the kids in mind. I save the little syrup bottles from Cracker Barrel and add roses cut from my yard to give to friends. They are always so excited to have a little happy!
Love all your little finds! The 4 lil frames are perfect. The Good And The Beautiful artwork reminds me of your own, Andrea. Use your own artwork too! Those heart baskets are precious. Hung with a sweet, neutral ribbon year round...hearts represent love and so does your precious home. And the duplicate pottery piece for .75 cents. How can you refuse even if it's a dup? I can see a lovely bouquet of dried flowers in it. Can not tell the frames are actually plastic. I love the color....kind of brassy gold~ish? Thanks for taking us along thrifting. It's always a fun time!
PIcture mats can easily be painted white or whatever color you want with a little roller. My painted thrifted mats have always turned out really nice. Fun thrifting trip. Thanks for taking us along!
The little glass vases remind me of years ago shrimp cocktail came in them. People saved them for juice glasses. That's when things were made of glass and not plastic.🥺
You can criss cross mod podge on the glass (I like matte finish) it will remove glare and make it look like real painting.
i absolutely love the geese pieces! so darling for a little nursery
I saw a reel of someone who took one of those heart baskets, removed the “pins” to take it apart and have lots of hearts. Then she used twine to connect them and made a wooden heart banner. It was so cute.
You inspire me to be more patient with my decor and to not always go to target to get the new decor, but to spend my time finding pieces that I love at local thrift stores and to bring new life to preloved pieces. I love your style! ❤
I think the heart baskets are super sweet! And I know you’ll style them beautifully ❤ great finds! I’m a mom of littles too so I don’t get to get out as much as I’d like and when I do it doesn’t always go well 😂 but I gotta try
I have Hobby Lobby cut non-glare glass for my frames. I agree with changing the frame out for a wooden one.
I love the idea of hanging that first little heart. I love hearts and I noticed them a lot from my love of English cottages. I wish I knew why.
When you were walking by that adorable candle plate I was like put that in your Buggy! I was SO glad to see you got it. What a find! Isn't thrifting the best. Your home is so charming and warm for your sweet little boys. I am a boy mama too and I love things like Valentine's day because it is my opportunity to go a little wild with pink and hearts because its a lot of mud and goofy boys around here :)
Aww I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😄 And yes, I love being a boy mom, but those little touches like you mentioned are definitely fun 😉🤗
You are so sweet , kind and
beautiful. I love your videos and your home. When you brought home the little glasses for flowers from your
boys I remembered those glasses as a kid. My mom would buy them at the store. They had shrimp cocktail in them. It was such a special treat and we saved those tiny glasses for ourselves . I’m 60 yrs old so it was a long time ago but just wanted to say thanks
for sharing the haul and bringing back sweet memories. Xoxo
We love TGTB!
Your own paintings would be beautiful in any of the frames you found!!! Blessings
You can paint those baskets for Valentine’s Day. A pretty off-white would be nice.
I think it would be cute to use your little teapot in the bathroom with cotton balls or soaps in it, since you have one in your corner cupboard already.
Or YOU can paint a picture, sn original, for those frames.
YOU ARE SO TALENTED!
Great items! Another fun little glass item that works well as bud vases are old salt and pepper shakers with no lids. They are usually very inexpensive. Beautiful cut glass and crystal ones can be found while thrifting. Perfect for placing on a kitchen window sill.
The heart baskets make perfect sense to me!
Tuck a few valentine chocolates in the heart baskets for a sweet surprise for a friend!
Those little glasses were originally sold with shrimp cocktail. My mom use to buy them for my dad.
Dear Andrea, Enjoyed the haul. The larger print with the super reflection; I would put it a wood frame. The tiny edged gold frame is pretty but wood would soften it so much. Great idea with the home school pictures. I've used magazine pages. Art in our homes is totally up to " beauty in the eye of the beholder". Hugs💞
Extra tea pots make cute vases too.
Your thrifting decisions don’t need to make sense to us. Loved your choices
Good morning, Andrea! Here's a few suggestions....the extra teapot would be cute in your kitchen to set one of your real plants in on your counter. Also the small frames like you said add your (4) boys pictures to and maybe set them on a pretty tray next to your bed where their little precious faces will be the first thing you see in the morning! Thank you Andrea, for taking us along shopping with you! Always a pleasure! 🙏❤️
@@PineandProspectHome Andrea, I've been thinking about those little vases you bought and said that your boys always brought wild flowers in to you and you were going to you the little jars or vases for that. Well in the video I noticed some really cute little baskets about the height of those little vases you bought. I have been wondering if those little vases would slide down in those baskets. How cute would that be and you could hang them by your kitchen window. Go back and look at the video, please. Thanks!
I love thrifting, have been doing it for thirty years. Those small cute little frames would be adorable on the Christmas tree. I have frames for my son's pictures and it's always so fun to put them up every Christmas and to remember when they were taken. The new teapot could be used like a pitcher to hold flowers also. I've purchased a whole set of the Pfaltzgraff for my son when he grows up. I love how heavy and sturdy it is. We just bought my son a thrifted piece of Ethan Allen Highboy, solid maple for seventy five dollars. Where we live things are double or triple from your thrift store, but still cheaper and more unique.
Even though you weren't sure why you had bought the twig heart baskets, I'm gad you went ahead and bought them anyway! They are adorably sweet and I am sure you will find a great way to use them. The small fluted glasses you are planning to use as little flower vases came from frozen "Sau-Sea Shrimp Cocktail" which came, I think in 3-packs. I remember my mother serving them as sort of a special treat when growing up in the 1950's and 60's. I do not think they are available anymore. I still have 3 of these glasses in my cupboard and guess what I use them for? Little flower poseys, mostly when my daughters were young and would pick the flowers for me!
Hi Angela, i really think you capture the
English cottage style , so well....alot of English cottages have modern country style nowaday s exposed stone walls , log burners, lovely modern country kitchen,s although some are very oldy worldy...the modern country is a lovely look...very similer decor to your own interiors style....i love watching American chanels , its interesting as some american cottages claim to have a very english cottage style but some are still very much more american old style but your home i love as it is bright with lots light and paler old woods , and can tell you love nature and succeed in bringing al little of the outside in...doors. and its so nice to mix old things with slightly newer things looks so clean and fresh and pretty.....xxxx
Im an english subscriber ...i meant to mention....and also so true english cottages often do have heart wicker hanging decorations...
Those heart baskets would be cute hung from a Shaker style peg rack. Thanks for sharing your fun finds!
Same thing as like that with us it's like now you're getting two weeks of clouds one day of sun and the kids can't go sledding. 🙃
The little vases are from the grocery stores, they are shrimp cocktails over in the meat section. I save mine too after eating them. For little vases and little children's juice glasses, lol
Good finds! My Mom always did something for Valentine's day. Usually at breakfast, she would make waffles and have some little treats. It always made the focus of a loving family, and was a happy childhood memory I carried on with my boys.
Of all the channels I follow, you are by far the pickiest! I wish I was more like that 🤣😜
Such great finds. My favorite is the little vases…how precious!
The oval frame & print are 80s Home Interior brand decor. You will be pleased with how easy it is to add a new print. The print is attached to backing that is screwed in place. Makes it easy to trace & cut your new print and stays in place.
Fun thanks 4 taking us along
You did well with your haul----what matters most is that YOU love these finds--practical too!
Please don't apologize for anything you buy! You have a purpose in mind for them and they will be beautiful! 🥰
That is so funny you mentioned the good and the beautiful art in frames! I just did that this week because I couldn't stand to leave them in the book once we finished a lesson. It looks fabulous in my thrifted frame and my son loves seeing his lesson displayed in our home!
You could glue some sphagnum moss to the bottom and stick succulent cuttings to that heart shaped basket.
That photograph looks exactly like this place I visited in The Netherlands.
Andrea I want to ask you when are you going to start painting again you paint so beautifully and also I love your basement give a tour of it this is done all done thank you so much for sharing enjoy your videos all your fines were beautiful and cheap keep them all those little baskets you can Put popery rose petals candy for valentines very cute have a great weekend
Your heart baskets are terrific
The little glasses came with
Shimp Cocktail inside.
What a fun day for your sister and you! I love thrifting. Thank you for taking us along. I love the picture of the water wheel/stone wall! When I was younger I would dream of living in one of those and decorate old English style❤ so lad you got it! ❤️😊
Enjoy the rain Andrea. We are getting all your snow here in Colorado. You need two teapots when you have a tea party!💕
Yes, love watermill too!
I just went to the Goodwill Bins on Saturday, Goodwill on Thursday and today! I’ve been having a ball but not with some of those prices.
I found an empire mirror for $18.99 so I left it there for over a week, when I went back it was still there and 50% off 🙌🏾
I knew you were going to get that Pfaltzgraff piece, we have the same collection ( I don’t have that piece), love💕 it.
I like the baskets. I have larger painted white ones that I use in my foyer wall collage and art work is lovely!
The frames
The little vases for the bouquets from the boys are so precious!! Love this idea. 💙
Not even kidding…I bought 2 matching oval frames with those same geese at a thrift store a few years back. In pppimnin Georgia, by the way. You know what I think? You’re probably too young to remember this but I bet your mom remembers back in the 80’s when everyone was having those Home Interiors parties,,,like Tupperware….selling home decor stuff, some of it was in those plastic frames. Betting these geese pictures are Hone Interiors stuff. KOTS of geese going around in the 80’s 😂
I absolutely love everything you got!!!
You can buy museum glass for that gorgeous photo. It will take away the glare and make it a much more important piece for not a lot of money! Good kinds...
Maybe your boys could make something for grandma for Valentines in the little teeny basket 💝 Perhaps make some paper flowers and put them in or fill it with messages about why they love Grandma?
The heart without the bottom were popular in the early 90s. I used to have a double one.
you found some really cute pieces. I wish thrift stores out around me were as nice as yours.
Andrea, I love the little grapevine, heart basket! It will be precious with some vintage valentine cards, sitting in it! Who doesn’t love hearts!😊❤
I love everything you bought!
You can switch the glass on the water mill photo to Matt glass…super cheap!
Andrea you have the most incredible thrift and antique stores in your area! And some of those prices are unbeatable! I love the heart baskets! My grandmother was born on Valentine’s Day and that was my due date with my first born daughter so I just love Valentine’s Day! I think subtle Valentine’s Day decorations that blend with everyday decor are perfect! Please do a video if you happen to do anything for Valentine’s Day. I know my daughters would even love to watch!
Thanks for sharing.
A lot of good finds...take care.
I love the white teapot
I finally had the chance to go thrift ing . My husband had knee surgery. I found 2 x small shelves that look like tree branches. My friends didn’t care for them. So it’s ok if nobody agrees with the your buy. Enjoy 😊. I wish I could have home school , your children are so blessed .
You can change out the glass in your photo pic for non reflective glass.
My absolute favourite finds were the heart baskets! Maybe because I’m English 😂
I think the heart baskets are good try putting them around your house just to see how it looks or put some little candies in the basket
As far as I'm concerned you never have to apologize for the lighting. It doesn't bother me. 😁
Beautiful finds.
My Granny used one of those curling irons when she had her shop way back when
I think the heart baskets are cute
I have one of those handless woven heart baskets but larger than the one you have. I lay it next to a large bouquet of greens or flowers as part of the vignette. I love the look.
Love the baskets🙂
Pssst...the little green pottery trinket dish was made in Pigeon Forge, TN. The town is famous for it's Pigeon Forge pottery! I have a few pieces from a visit there years ago.
Oh my goodnes... at 1:50 there was a chunky wood caddy with forged iron feet that I would die for! I see it filled with small aged terra cotta pots on a window sill or your long dining table with small herbs! Or candles.... or Easter eggs and moss , or mini pumpkins ,or small winter sprigs of greenery... the ideas are endless!!!! I want one!!!!
Good treasures!
Love the heart baskets! I have two on my sunporch wall.
Love Charlotte Mason curriculum!
I am loving those videos. :)
Andrea, I love the pfaltzgraff teapot.🤍✨
Hi Andrea, I would be very interested in a video about how you clean thrift haul finds. I´m a big thrift haul fan myself, but sometimes I don´t know how to properly clean my baskets, frames or small furniture. Clothes, textiles and dishes - no problem. But big baskets and wooden furniture might contain bedbugs and other things and if you cannot see them, that doesn´t mean they aren´t there ;-).... So maybe you or your community have some ideas for me. Thank you, Effie
Love
I work at a Charlotte Mason based school in NC. I love it! 🥰
We use good and beautiful also and love it! We can never part with the books because we love to look back through the art. That’s a great idea to frame it!!!!
Love your hearts!
The brick building picture will look awesome with an old fashion dark wood flame. I love that where you live it doesn't snow as you mentioned. I love living in places like those in craftsman houses bringing in my vintage stuff, what a dream for me. Thanks for sharing.
Free art and cheap frames what more can you ask for. Lol. I always check out frames at goodwill.
The little heart shaped basket could house some moss and succulents?
hey girl- Love the video. You found some really good finds. 😀😉👍 I also like those heart shaped baskets!!❤
What a fun trip! I think your little heart baskets would be so pretty with some of that crochet ribbon that you used on your Christmas tree. So sweet hanging. I have a heart shaped pan and I make brownies in it for Valentine’s or any time I want to say I love you. Enjoy enjoy oh and your teapot would be so pretty with flowers in it for Valentine’s or anytime!!
Yay to a thrifting video! Gray days are perfect for thrifting 👏 love your choices and you really can't go wrong with frames. Would love to see a little more of your original artwork in these, too. I have a pair of smaller white teapots that I use most often as vases. They look so pretty, spouts facing each other, with a platter or basket in between on a dining table. I adore that little heart basket! Would look so cute hanging from a pretty ribbon. I have a heart cake pan that I bake my biscuits in - they look cute popped out onto a plate/board for table service. Love those tapered flameless candles you showed could you consider possibly doing a link for them, please? Thanks for taking us shopping with you! ~~MaryAnn🤗
LOVE the wicker basket with the open bottom -- soooo cottagy and great for valentines
Great finds. Love the heart basket. I have the heart shaped cake pan. Made meatloaf in it one year for Valentine's dinner & put an outline of a ketchup heart on the top - kids loved it. You could use an antique rub in buff on the brass frame to age it & use without glass. I do love wood frames though.
Love the curriculum artwork, you must frame some. 😊💕
Great Thrift haul, The small glasses were filled with Shrimp Cocktail they had lids on them Sold at the grocery store. Very cute!
Loved this! If I may suggest, for those very little frames...if you put magnets on the back they can be used as fridge magnets family pictures :) it makes my heart smile every time I open the fridge 🤎
Hi Kristen, I admit I was naive back in the day, not realizing subscribing was free. After I realized that I went ahead and subscribed to all my people. I love your channel, Kristen, you're doing great.🙂
