Senator Resort Puerto Plata Review: Food, Beach & more!

- Hey everyone! Recently I went on vacation with my hubby to the Dominican Republic and we stayed at Senator Puerto Plata Spa Resort plus we checked out PlayaBachata next door. This resort is beautiful and a nice getaway. We stayed in a standard room and it was a great home away from home. The resort has wonderful aspects about it and I enjoyed our stay there. In this video I cover a list of pros and cons about this resort so I hope it helps you when making your decision if you would like to visit here. I will also give an in-depth review of the food + restaurants (steak house, buffet, teppanyaki, grill, snack bar, Italian, pizzeria, gelato shop, coffee house ) and show the menus. I will be sharing my thoughts on the beach, entertainment and much more! Overall it was a fantastic stay at this reach resort. How many resturants are you allowrd to go to without paying extra? I know some resorts only allow 2 or 3 a la carte per week. What about this one?

No we didn't upgrade, we had the standard rooms. Enjoy your stay!! :)
Did you have to book the restaurants in advance once you got to the resort? & do they have tours with the resort ? Like with catamarans? For a fee ofc
Yes, my husband met with the rep and he booked us at all the restaurant. For tours I'm not sure. All the best!
Did you have to pay for the personal pizza or Gelato icecream or was it included in the all inclusive? Nice video, thanks for the info 😊

How were the rooms? Im leaving in about a week and was curious because I've been reading people say a lot of negative stuff about the rooms and water and what not
The room had pros and cons. I agree with what you have read the water in the shower was lukewarm/cold :( at 8:34-10:15 I give more details about that. All the best and I hope you have a nice trip without any room issues.
What's the deal with the shortage of lounge chairs at the pool and the beach. I read so many comments about it. Are they ever going to get more?
Good question! After you said that I looked up the reviews and was shocked that it's a common thing. I hope they get more chairs because that doesn't make any sense to me..

Hey what airport did you fly into and How did you get from the airport to the resort
We went to Gregorio Luperón International Airport which is about a 40 min drive to the resort. Since we booked with Sunwing airlines and had an all inclusive package our transfer to and from the airport was all included. So we took the designated bus/shuttle service that was provided for our transportation.
