Brother, am really confused about the entry requirements mentioned in university site at some post it had mentioned AS level mathematics and English language and at some place it says AS/A level mathematics and English language is required to enrollment...i tried contacting university but i failed to clear this doubt please help me out... AS level mathematics is enough for enrollment or i will need both AS/A level mathematics?
Hey, so when I applied, I was in my A levels and gave my AS grades to the University at first for registration. If you are in your A levels, and have the AS grades I am sure you will be able to apply. I hope this helps!
Hi! I hope you can answer me. Thank you in advance. I live in France and I am basically a French speaker. I sometimes find it hard to understand when native English speakers speak, but when non-native English speakers speak I understand their English better. So I have a strange question. Do the course videos have subtitles?
Bhaiya I'm from India and from poor economic conditions can you tell me how much will an Online BSC from University of London will cost as I will have to also find a part time job to pay fees. ❤️🙏
Hi sir, may I have questions on GPA? Do you receive GPA (grade) or just fail or pass for class? Is it very difficult to maintain straight A in classes? Thanks.
They don't have a GPA system, but rather they give marks out of 100. You can calculate your GPA manually though. However maintaining straight A's depends on the person, tbh if you study well then you won't have any issues. Apparently 70 above is distinction as far as I have heard. But sometimes some subjects have vague requirements and may lead to a project that isn't upto the expectations of the uni hence resulting in a bad grade. But again most of the subjects are great and you will be able to get good grades if you study well and fulfill all the requirements.
No degree can assure a job with the big companies. If you wanna work with them then get the skill they need, pass the interviews and all the works. So no degree can assure you a job, it's your skill that will.
@@FaizanJavair Thank you, I want to start online university but I was thinking that interms of job offering they will consider the ones that did it on campus than online.
Time zone won't be a problem though, you really don't have any live classes other than the webinars which are held on the UK time but other than that I don't think so you have any issues. But yeah obviously you can apply.
@@FaizanJavair Thank you for the information. I have one more question. Are there physical examination centers in every country? Online degree isn't popular here in the Philippines.
@@jasonreyes102 Okay I'd suggest checking their country list on Coursera, it's in one of the links. I am sure Philippines is on that list. However another thing you can do is find recognized institutes, soo search on google 'University of London Partnered Institutes' probably the first that pops up will be the one. Go on to that page and scroll down to enter your country, and then you can see if there are any teaching centers in your country. If there are any, then for sure there will be centers for the examinations. That's one way to be sure. Another way is to contact them by email. I hope this helps.
@@FaizanJavair hi Faizan , i dont understad something … you said examinations were online but then you talk about examination centers.. I don’t get it .. are they 100% online and I can do it from home, or do you have to go to a center to take the tests?
@@lbryanmillanl Initially when the degree started, all papers were physical. So you had to go to an exam centre to give the exams (this only applies to the modules that have written examination). However some covid they shifted to online exams. And probably they are going to stay for a while now, and to clarify, you give your online exams at home or anywhere you want. They usually open up at 12 PM BST and submission window opens up for almost 24 hrs so everyone with different timezones are accommodated. Also these online exams might change in the coming year or so, but till now they are online. I hope this clear things up. I will probably add an updated video to make sure people now get an updated info.
Aoa I'm a bit confused I want to take admission in an online Bsc Program in International Relations, is it necessary for me to be in touch with a teaching centre/partnered Institute or wil I be in touch directly with the University of london for my classes and assignments and all other coursework? Secondly, how do people give exams in an online degree like this one? Do they have to go to some centre or are the exams online?
No actually you don’t have to be in touch with the teaching center. You can just do it all online. But it also depends on the course it is offered from, some UOL courses have Coursera as a Virtual Learning Platform while some such as LLB has UOL’s own portal which may not be as intuitive as Coursera’s. But again you check the reviews online and probably on Reddit as well. For online exams, most of them are now online proctored these days by using a software called inspera. You can see more about inspera and proctoring softwares on the internet for more info. But mostly all the system is online since Covid but maybe some UOL courses can have in-person exams as well but I am not sure, at least my course doesn’t have in-person exams.
Usually it’s almost a 5 month semester with 1 month for exams. And there are no holidays in this degree. Usually the only vacation you get is between semesters which lasts for almost a month or even less sometimes. Probably the only bad thing about this degree is no proper summer vacations.
Quick Question: Is this a Math heavy degree? like is there a heavy math focus in most of the modules or is it only in some modules, like computational and discrete mathematics?
There are only two math subjects, actually three, Fundamental of Computer Science (Maths similar to Discrete Maths is hidden under the hood), DM and CM itself. Other than that, there aren’t any math subjects in Level 5 and 6.
there are several bad reviews on reddit and on the official facebook page for the university I'm now confused wether it worth to enroll and spend around 11k plus 3 years at least of study and no company will recognise my certificate if there is any graduate student to share his experience after graduation and what recruiter think about UoL online Bcs
Last year at the campus, I guess it’s more than £15000+. For the first 2 years online you can roughly look at £1500 to £2000 per semester depending on where you live.
Yes, it is HEC recognised. You can again confirm it yourself as well. Also, many different local universities here are offering this course so yeah it is recognised.
@@world-xx4ds I would recommend checking the website and the pdf they have provided on the coursera page. But you can expect anywhere around 1600-1800 pounds per semester for 4 subjects.
Can you do master's degree in a decent university like Ivy league or Oxbridge or UCLA likes? Will they value online degree as equal to offline one?
Thanks for making these videos about your experiences at UoL. I'm just applying myself and it's been helpful getting your thoughts on it
Awesome video man

you got enrollment and studying it just by submitting your AS level grades... right brother?
We don't have A levels in our country. How can they require that..
You should have to have three A level grades or all of them?
