    السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
    I recently attended the dawrah in madinah. I was able to understand the shaykh but was not able to write notes quick enough. How do I improve my handwriting speed and the way it looks?
    Also a side question, how do you know what to take down from the shaykh, I mean when a shaykh is explaining a book do you just write random benefits you hear at each point or is there a method for note taking that you can share.
    جزاكم الله خيرا وبارك الله فيكم

    15:50 Shabbe Baraath. We have this issue within our community. Where they really emphasise this night and we are told to pray and read all night. No narrations support this by the way. But they are so stuck in the ways they don't want to accept that there's no solid foundation to perform these rituals on the 15th night.

    Hello, salaam May Allah Bless you guys. Thanks for this beneficial podcast, I always learn so much. May Allah (swt) accept it from you. I have a question in regards to following the imam in prayer. Is thee a difference of opinion in regards to that, a prayer is incomplete without Al Fatihah. So i recite it whilst praying in congregation, however the imam goes into rukoo by the time i am done. I am sinful for not following him, do i still get the reward of praying the whole night or is my prayer destroyed. When my fellow brothers in Islam see me doing this, after the prayer they approach me and tell me I am wrong. I am not offended by they're questioning nor do i argue, just confused. Barakallahufeek.

      Jaazkha Allāhu khair for the comment may Allāh bless you.
      Regarding your question; according to the majority of scholars, Suratul-Fātihah is obligatory for the imām leading the prayer and for individuals praying alone. However, there is disagreement among scholars regarding whether it is obligatory for the individual praying behind the imām.
      The first viewpoint is that reciting Al-Fātihah is obligatory for everyone, including the imām and the one following him in prayer, based on the saying of the Prophet (ﷺ): “There is no prayer for the one who does not recite the Opening Sūrah of the Book.” Imām Ash-Shāfi’ee and a group of scholars of hadeeth, including Imām al-Bukhāree, hold this position.
      The second viewpoint is that the recital of Al-Fātihah is not obligatory behind the imām, as the recitation of the imām is sufficient for the one following him, based on a hadeeth narrated from Jābir. However, there is some debate about the chain of narration for this hadeeth. These scholars also use the verse from the Quran (Al-A’rāf 7:204) to support their position.
      The third viewpoint, held by Imām Mālik and preferred by Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah and a group of scholars, is that reciting Al-Fātihah is obligatory for the individual following the imām in silent prayers, such as Thuhr and ‘Asr, but not in loud prayers. In loud prayers, the recitation of the imām suffices, and the individual following the imām should remain silent and listen. This viewpoint is considered the most balanced.

    I have a question. I know a close sister of mine who still hasn’t made up her fast from the last Ramadan and she intends to do it the last days (nowk) before ramadan starts. Is this permissible? Since you mentioned the Hadith of the prophet aleyi salat wa salam about not fasting the second half of sha’ban. jazakAllāhu khayr barakAllāhu feeki

    • @At-Tibyan
      @At-Tibyan  Рік тому

      Jaazkha Allāhu khair for your question.
      Yes, it’s permissible, rather it’s obligatory for her to make it up before the next Ramadan.
      Making up obligatory fasting from the previous Ramadan wouldn’t fall under the same category as supererogatory fasting.

    Brothers, you warn people against falling into the bidah of the khawaarij who applied hukm on certain people, should we also be careful not to apply the hukm of calling someone a mubtadi? Isn't Applying the hukm of mubtadi on people and Applying the hukm of kufr on people the job of the scholars?

    • @At-Tibyan
      @At-Tibyan  Рік тому

      Correct.
      One should be careful with both, as we noted in this podcast.

    Asalamu Alaykum. Is it permissible to use a miswak because I have learnt from the shafi'i madhab that you cannot use it. Jazakallahu khairun

    • @At-Tibyan
      @At-Tibyan  Рік тому

      وعليكم السلام وحمة الله وبركاته
      Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (رحمه الله) said:
      “As for the miswak, it is permissible and there is no difference of opinion concerning that. But they differed as to whether it is makruh after the sun has passed the meridian, and there are two well known views, both of which were narrated from Ahmad. But there is no shar’i evidence suggesting this to be makruh which can be regarded as an exception from the general meaning of the texts about the miswak.” (Al-Fatawa al-Kubra (2/474)
