Lighten the load next time! Having to replace the springs with all that weight, if you go again with anything try lightening the load and upgraded radiator
Pulling for you guys! You've just reached the best part of the trip, it can't end now. Impressed with how positive you seem to be keeping. I will say, if any auto shops need someone to make their work look as badass as possible you are definitely the man to call Braxton. The shot of the dude cutting with a cigarette in his mouth and sparks hitting the floor? Gold.
1. Nice videography. Even made the laundromat look cool. LOL. 2. I am several days behind. I am going to binge watch today. I want to jump forward and check on you boys but that would ruin this awesome Trailspin TV drama.! 3. Keep that POSITIVE attitude. I am pulling for you.
Good luck guys, my 07 2dr JK left me stranded a few times doing roadside repairs and delaying trips waiting for parts, the struggle sucks! Still want another jeep again but went to a Tacoma for reliability on overland trips
Hey guys good luck, hope the problem gets fixed, definitely a good but unfortunate twist in your story line... btw the mechanic sequence looked so Clean, hell of a job guys!
Hey Brandon. Just started binge watching your vlog today. Seeing you were having trouble with your transmission maybe this will help with your future adventures. The jk/jku's transmission are proned to transmission issues and a lot has ended up catching on fire. Problem is, if you haven't done yet, is that ppl slap on bigger tires without regearing. Having stock gears, 35s and all that weight puts too much stress on the transmission = overheating and then to failure. Also.. In the future.. Whenever you go through dust, mud, etc.. Try to find a car wash and power wash any build-up on the radiator/transmission cooler. Anywho.. Still watching and only on episode 22-23. Love the show. Keep it up!
We ended up adding an aftermarket tranny cooler, and because my Jeep has the towing package, the gears are 3.73. Not quite where they need to be, and with us going over the payload limit by quite a bit, we definitely strained things. Planning on going with bigger gears before the trip in October. - Brandon
Jeeps Unlimited in Erie, CO has a used transmission for $750 according to their web site (71,000 miles). It looks like that's about 3 hours away from you. I don't know if that would be worth it but getting towed back to wherever home is probably won't be cheap either. Edited to add: look up FN Jeep on Facebook if you do consider used. They are closer (Colorado Springs) but not sure about inventory.
awesome vids, mixed in with horrible luck. oh man. best of luck. Keep your head up it will all work out for the better in the end. The vlogs are awesome best of luck, we're pulling for you.
I hate seeing you guys going in circles... Transmission is toast... Burnt up the pump.. .I knew when you said fluid was black... Jasper re manufactured transmission... only way to go.. put a new trans in and forget about it.. I know it's not cheap but best route you got.. I bet you spent 800 or thereabouts so far.. that coulda gone to a new trans...
Pockets full? You need to liberate yourself with a Nutsac bag. I was skeptical about carrying around a manbag/murse/“European carryall” but now I swear by it. Check them out.
It’s like you guys are dying in the sand dunes. You need three weird chicks in Gstrings to come and save you so you can realize this is just a bad dream.
Not to get off subject..,.but, Braxton..what kind of camera is that you are running? Also, the mount (selfie stick). I really like the quality of your video and the editing... Also, what editing software do you use? Thanks for the help guys! Hang in there...it will all work out!🙏🙏🙏
@@trailspinTV Yeah, I saw in the next video you were saying it correctly. Salida is one of my work sites, I said it wrong once and was corrected immediately.
@@josephjamison5007 my dad's army buddy lived in the mountains outside of Salida. He would take us up to the old coal mines in his WWII Jeep. Now, my wife and I stay in Gunnison when we go to Colorado and Utah and do trails in our Jeep. Loved it 60 years ago and love it now.

Did you watch Braxton’s video “The Dunes” 😂
Sounds more like a pump. Is there a port for pressure gauge?
DO YOU HEAR THE WORDS COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?
Line pressure issues typically means the pump or valve body is toast.
Hows thenewundies doing
They are alright. I’ll put out a review soon!

While you were in Salida no one taught you how to say it properly?
Yes. They did.
