For looping, I usually differentiate the two by just a small difference: 1. I don't really consider the first one a "loop". Usually, we call that a "combo extension" because you use a skill to extend your combo. So things like ZZZ Active ZZZ Active would just be a ZZZ combo extension, since you're using the active as well, a combo extension. 2. The actual Combo string looping I call "(insert small string of commands here) loop" i.e. "ZZZ Loop" this could mean either zzz*pause* or zzz>. The type is just either a Pause loop, dashcancel loop, or smooth loop. (based on the types of cancels used.) Also, for the Ara part, you forgot to mention that she is the only character in the game (excluding Lu/Ciel's switching mechanic. That's different technically.) with the ability to chain moves together that aren't on her skill bar currently just by pressing a certain move again. Her skill chaining makes her the reason why she doesn't even need "all of her skills" just to use all of her skills, making her utility in PvP even greater (whiffing a move to use another move to catch you, even though she shouldn't have it on her skillbar). Just thought I'd point these out
wow, this is actually the most unbiased video on PvP that I've ever seen.... caters to new players, veterans that may have missed something, trolls, derankers.... practically everyone
fun fact, ruben used to have one for lv10 players..... but that was REALLY long ago, before I even played the game (probably before eve was made, but idk). look it up on youtube or even elwiki.net
Feita's hypothetical SD set's 5-piece effect should be, "00.01% chance to drop one Moonstone". With a 6-piece effect being, "100% chance when hitting to summon a Glitter Necromancer to do abso-fucking-lutely nothing. (Dungeon)"
feita a set would probably have status effect buffs kinda like how rs does and decently increases proc chance with a 5% chance to gain maximize(10%) for 7 seconds 10% chance to increase natural gain to 2 mp per second when being hit lasts for 7 seconds(stacks 4x) (cooldown 30 seconds) and summons berthe to do his ice blast attack ruben: increases skill dmg for 10 seconds after awakening by 20%(30 second cooldown)also boost skills lvl by 1,(2%)chance of opponent gaining (when being attack) damage debuff for 15 seconds(30%)(cooldown 40s) when fully worn summons ancient phoru to do long horizontal axis multi hit fire attack.
Senpai! Senpai! Maybe try a video about how enhancing works? (I mean, I know how to do it, I'm just not sure if I know everything, and it took me 2 fkin years to discover enhancing ._.)
You finally did it huh? I must admit, even for a light-weight, seasoned veteran like myself, this is quite informative. Good work on this one Bran. Lookin' forward to most all of your other videos.
Another tip I might suggest, is to go to Settings, look for PvP Chat, and select Block All. I do this because whether my peer is being salty, (or more often when I'm being salty), it helps no one and no thing to type in PvP (except in team battles), so this is exclusively for 1v1.
As neat as that feature is, I dont recommend it. If one person calls me laggy, I just assume it's a fluke. If a lot of people call me laggy, I'll start to think I'm actually lagging pretty badly. But if I block pvp chat, I won't be able to see any of that.
Well, that's not always the case. Different kinds of lag will make themselves apparent (if at all) in different ways. Of course, if you have framerate lag, it'll be pretty easy to see. But if your connection is poor, you may not notice it unless multiple people point it out to you.
Even though the information in this video is still basic surface-level pvp information, its still super important I hope this video gets around because I know it'll help a lot of people. Heck, someone commented saying they didnt know how to mana break. (No disrespect to that person. It's just that that knowledge will help them so much in the future)
Brancliff also that there are always new players and they have no idea on a lot of game mechanics, this video would help a lot these people as its a simple but easy and fun to watch, informative video
yeah, almost every time i log on now, someone asks me about how to play the game better... it's sad but true. the new to old player ratio is changing so much and there's a lot running around like headless chickens... hell, while jumping a character can help speed up leveling dramatically, i still feel like leveling from scratch is far more worthwhile, since you really take the time to use the class you picked... instead of skipping every boss before lanox....
I like having so many new players around because I can milk them for views :^) No but really I think having all the new players around is great because >It's a good argument against "wahhhhh elsurd is dyeing!!11" >It shows the game is still getting new players >Oldfags are super judgmental and cliquey -n- I haven't found any who are particularly nice - much less nice to me (while I am apparently some kind of a controversial figure now, which, while I still think that's dumb, I've gotten over the shock factor of that and have now accepted it is as true)
Ruben SD equipment 5piece set effect: 1. When hit by enemy, have a 30% chance to summon William to fight "against" you (15% in PvP) 2. When hit by enemy, have a 15% chance to receive a buff which grants you 100% evasion for 1,5 seconds. (5% in PvP). 6piece set effect: 2% chance to summon Banthus and his henchmen for 30seconds. (Works like NPC cards).
looking at the skills that got their defense ignore in PvE back.... maybe. now if only critical trait got the same treatment. 100% def ignore in PvE, 25% (or none) in PvP
Fuck man, I started to play Els yesterday because of a friend of mine and I were pretty resistant to the game cause I used to play Grand Chase. But wtf your videos are so damn good that makes me wanna actually git gud Elsword. Keep on this good work, in return I'll watch and like all of your videos ;) (also I subscribed and I'm SO sharing this with everyone I know HAHAHAHAHHA)
try buying a numerical keypad (not a keyboard ...just the keypad) and place remap the movement keys to the pad...for exampled...^up5 downV2 left3. as for the commands and skills I am not so sure...focus on where you want to place the commands first then move on to the other things such as map/ character/ items/ etc. also please be sure to take a screenshot of the mapping since everyonce in a while when the game updates it tends to reset EVERYTHING to the original mapping and having to make it to your liking is a pain if u dont have it memorized. I hope this helps
Actually, I'm a lefty, so I may have some help for you. I use NUM pad 1, 2, 3, 5, respectively, and use w, a, s, d, for my skills, with r being my Trans skill. I've never had/used B Bar, so that's up to you man. I also have z set to "other action" (I don't remember what it's called. Special Action? I think? Like uses Mana conversion and/or LuCiel's swap). And yeah, using wasd for motion, and trying to type....it doesn't work. Though tbh if you're in a motion circumstance, you shouldn't be typing anyway.
I know this video is old but just so people know... Chung overall his cannonball shot from >>X and >>^X have actually no KD, the cannon hit is what carries the KD (>>X), and it carries a high value of KD, to balance it they made the shot of the cannonball no KD, which is dumb because if berserk is achieved, you can throw someone (near) to the wall and spam >>X against the wall, if you know how tocalculate the range, you can make just the cannonball shot hit the enemy and just loop it all over, it doesnt really feed mp to the user but a tiny bit to the target, but this will eventually make the target mana break for that dumb loop
Okay Bran, the EU servers got an pretty interesing update yesterday... at least the german one has... and I'm shocked. Like, a lot. ;; Pvp has become even more broken than it already was: One of my guildies went from S+ straight to C (by running into one of the most op players in the server)... And I went from S to A, to B, to E and went EASILY- (like: literally every win one rank) to S+. This is so weird.. How is it in NA? Is it just as ridiculous? (I'm not that much of a pvp person, but I have a lot of awesome guildies who i often play against.)
in NA due to we got the latin with us it laggy as hell also each time u lose u lost some rank point but get a losing streak oh boy it gets worst if that happen.
S5 is pretty broken, and it's broken-ness is only amplified by EU servers being also mangled. It's good that you're not much of a pvp person, because imo, the only possible way to enjoy S5 pvp is to ignore rank completely, because the matchmaking and ranking systems are so destroyed this time T_T Hopefully S6 will be better.
after watching this vid i feel like i can be good at pvp since i know the basic but i just got into a match and lose and i remembered i suck at pvp so hard highest rank E i also lost to a lvl 60 aisha and i'm 95 transcendence that is enough to prove i'm terrible at the game +9 too T_T
👀 Make sure I can make the smoothie with a low budget cause I be broke college student :V and I bet the first step to win your heart is 1. Be Aisha cause she kawaii and 2. Be EM 3. (I don't know yet)
Heh. I got called a lagger by a DiE in S rank because he kept throwing 300 MP skills at me in the middle of backflip shot so I guess I should just randomly mention that most special actives and a few actives and normals have s. ._.
I got a screenshot from a fan of mine. Someone's trying to belittle me in a Facebook group this video got posted in. --> imgur.com/a/vfSja Apparently, you're not allowed to understand how to mana break or calculate KD values if you're a "pve main". e_e
well now that I watched the video. I will have something to say about it. 1st of all: Sorry for being rude, it was unintentional. While Elwiki is the primary resource I use for gathering information I don't already know, there's a few reasons why these videos are a better source of information >Easier to follow >Much more information can be learned in a shorter amount of time >People may not know all of the pages that I gathered information from exist (I didn't know there was a page solely for random effects gained from re-identifying equipment. But there is.) >Video footage to go alongside the information helps make it easier to understand (such as the ZZZ loops and Burst Wolf reversals) Your word choice isn't an issue, but that you made a judgment of the video based on an opinion of me instead of a judgment gained from watching the video itself. Also, "pve main"? ._. I mean, it's true, but yknow there's people who play both right?
well so I can't call a pve main, a pve main ? If you do play both but you're still a pve main, so I cannot call you're a pve main? And about the video, I thought it was gonna be about serious pvp, so that's why I said what I said. I never knew your video is about stuffs that can be found in elwiki. So I said sorry for saying such thing, is it still not okay?
@Roy Revant I see where your coming from but, the moral of the story is if your going to comment on something such as Bran's video you might want to review the video before making such statements. I say that because from the title of the video it says "PVP Basics" meaning it's not an in-depth guide or overview of PVP. Also meaning that majority (whether you are a pve main or pvp main) of elsword players typically have this awareness of pvp basics. I believe this video is mainly targeted at new players or people who don't do pvp at all and want to know what to look out for (aka the basics of pvp). o 3 o/ but no sweat Roy no one is mad at ya 💕
Yeah... I'm sorry, the Heavy Stance for Chung should really be disabled for pvp only. He doesn't typically need it in TT or IP cause he gets skills that give the SA trait to him. DC may need it... sometimes... but not a whole lot since he's the longest range attacker out of the Chung classes. Heavy Stance is just really annoying and a really unfair advantage compared to a lot of the other annoying things in the game, like Stoic, which should also be disabled in PvP unless it's Red Aura for the El Siblings, cause that's built in, not a skill you receive.
On top of this, in regards to equipment, what they should do for Arena is make it so the Sparring Gear is the only gear you're allowed to use. If they did this, you wouldn't be able to have people complain about "hurr durr, you're a gear carried sp-sp-spammer" and it would be a lot more fair. Then all you have to do to become stronger for PvP is save up the Sparring stones (the orange ones, not the specific magic stones) to upgrade your gear to +10, and that's the only difference there can be in terms of being "gear-carried". It's just a thought I have that KoG will never put into fruition
Ruben SD : some goofy shit themed by nature, maybe a Maxi / Spec focused? Feita : Elemental proc. (6/6 Ruben, 2% chance to spawn Black Phoru cus KoG be dicks and removing 1-X)
cancer looping where someone spams the same thing over and over. somewhat requiring skill looping but bot really and that's how you can tell the difference between looping and looping

they should make the hardest SD of all be in Ruben

What is the best lass for pvp? Even at low level if i may ask.
Isn's feital SD is gate of darkness ( the gate randomly boop up when you finish a dungeon)?

I hope that u can talk about NPC(pvp) and their drop rates

Ruben would work like Nocturn of Hernia but with 10% Heal. Feita would work like OoR but with +10% dmg, and +30% Crit.
Oh and 6/6 Ruben would summon Ancient Phoru with his "flamethrower", 6/6 Feita would summon boss from 5-3 Using his "soul attack" that drain mana.
