Adam, I got emotional when you said the first thing you would do is drive Brooke to a fancy restaurant. You two are amazing and I'm so glad to know you both. Full steam ahead!
I am not gonna lie I didn’t put in a part where I did cry a little bit when I first got in the car and pulled off. Doing something for more than half of your life like driving and then becoming disabled sometimes take a real hit to your stability. Right now I am waiting for the county to get the report and check and see what our next steps are.
Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us! I know Brandon already commented, but I wanted to share how happy we are for you on the path to driving again. We can't wait to see updates! 💜
Thanks, I did receive a letter in the mail from our department of motor vehicles saying they received my assessment report. I’m still waiting for the county to process my paperwork.
Thank you so much!! This was a hurdle in the next step. Now I have to wait on the county to get the report and initiate the next step. I’ll reach out to them sometime this week to see what I have to do next.
Amazing and inspirational video! No joke - Sarah and I got genuinely emotional when Aadam simply said a nice restaurant that he’d drive to. I could type more, but I’ll leave it at that. Thank you both for all you do!
Thanks, it was a little emotional. Now we wait for DORS to process the report. I received an email from my counselor that stated that it was in process. We think this is one of the most commented videos. I guess we need to do more of my life ones. Yup, can’t wait to get “on the road again “ 😃
Thanks, it will be interesting to see how I do the next time. Rest assured once I get everything in order with my car, we will be going out for a big celebration.
I loved this video xx very emotional xx I used to be a sing a long music blasting kind of driver I found it very relaxing xx I think even with an adapted car I wouldn’t be able to safely drive again tho with my issues now I can’t even answer questions if I’m concentrating on walking with my zimmer so I think my driving days are done but I’m so happy you are able to do this it’s a huge step in your recovery journey xx I don’t know you other than your videos but I hope I’m allowed to be proud of you xxx
I do think that once I start to learn the hand controls, it will become easier to remember those movements. I am ambulatory and I do have right side strength. The evaluator said that he doesn’t believe it’ll be safe for me to use my right foot to accelerate and break. When we have our next appointment with the adaptive van, he can do much more tailored adjustments for me. We do these videos to show that is possible to succeed and do fun things.-A
