I was surprised that the Honda Ridgeline has so much to offer. Lots of cool features.

And it drove a lot better than I expected. This week has been a surprise with the Ridgeline.

Great video. Informative. Engaging. Actually, we are in the market for a truck at the end of 2024. We prefer a midsize truck to tow our small camper (Casita - 2900 lbs loaded) and to haul camping gear. After considerable research, the Ridgeline is the benchmark by which we will compare other midsize trucks. The 5,000 lb tow rating will more than handle our Casita. I am actually more focused on payload. I would like about 1500 lbs of payload and most Ridgelines are between 1475 and 1580 lbs of payload. I also appreciate the bed innovations, the interior size, and the reliability. We will cross shop all other midsize trucks, but are definitely impressed with the Ridgeline.

If Honda actually made a true truck they would take plenty of market share from Toyota. Love the powertrain but most truck dudes will not be sold on a truck like car.

@pier, Many “truck” dudes are willing to change as their needs change. I traded a Sierra for my Ridgeline. I no longer pull/tow a four horse trailer or an equipment trailer. My Ridgeline pulls my boat & trailer, my two horse trailer, my single axle Oliver camper. It's a dream to drive short/long distances, gets me to 85% of my fishing spots, the other 15% I take horses. Easy to park: 20 mpg around town, 25 Highway, roomy cab.. Best AWD system on the planet, nothing can touch it in adverts driving conditions. My cousin traded his big Dodge Ram; 2500 Cummins for a Ridgeline in March, said he should have traded long ago.

@@ChesterSm-ge1hb Don’t get me wrong I don’t question its capabilities. I like the powertrain and features too. My vein self just loves the look of a traditional truck.

@@Pierre.P4 btw; My wife drives a Honda Pilot, the certificate of title / registration lists the Pilot as a truck 🥴 No GVW listed on the side, no two speed axle, go figure
