with all due respect..tommy robinson made a lie that a muslim was raping kids in UK but it was a christain african and he was not an imigrant and tommy was funded by Israel to do this.... so we have to be specific here....this happens on western media so israel can justify genocide in gaza and killing sprees in lebanon and Syria and invade Iraq and Afghanistan..how many inncoents did jews kill now? I do not see muslims all over the world targeting jews and israeli embassies....

Second, this whole concept of intolernace is a lie created by western elites...first of all there are many arabs and muslims who go and migrate to other muslim and arab countries and way more than European countries...for example there are 1 million iraqi refugees who went to Jordan and many who went to Syria and Libya ..much larger numbers than European countries but the question is who then bombed Syria? Libya? now Gaza and Lebanon? who has been bombing Yemen for 9 years?

You explained it beautifully! We do not want people who impose their faith, lifestyle or ideology on us. We see what the EU has done wrong in the area of migrants and we do not want to make the same mistake. And that's not racism! We only care about our safety. If someone is in our country LEGALLY, works, pays taxes, integrates with our community and inspires it... We will be happy to host such people. To sum up: Our country - our rules! If someone does not agree with this, Poland is simply not the right place for such a person.

Look up the Polish Muslim Tatars, they've lived in Poland, Lithuania and Belarus since the 14th century and are considered the oldest Muslim minority in a Christian society. Also, look up Polonezkoy in Turkey, a Polish villiage (today a part of Istambul) set up in the 19th century for Poles hiding from the Russian tsar. It's considered the oldest Christian settlement in the midst of a Muslim society. Also, some Polish heroes, like Józef Bem, converted to Islam. He died defending Aleppo. There was a time when only the Muslim Sultan had enough balls to tell the Russian tsar he wouldn't give him fellow Muslims, Poles or not. Thus said, you're right, everyone can live in Poland comfortably as long as they are willing to integrate. The problems in Sweden, Germany, France etc come from ghettoisation. In Poland rich and poor kids go to the same schools, play together and usually live in the same neighbourhoods.

Good to clarify, but it's hard to miss the fact that whenever people complain about Muslims, they mean savages from Africa and Middle-East. Think how many times you have heard "Muslims" in relation to Turks. People say "Turkish" or "Ottoman" - hardly put them into the "Muslim" bracket. Why? Turks are secular Asians.

The most alarming thing about illegal migrants that doesn't put people at ease is the way they visit countries as guests, and they attempt to enforce their own rules as if the country they are visiting was theirs. Usually, there's a saying 'When in Rome do as Romans do' but it's already shown that they do not respect the values of the countries they visit, which is often the case with Muslims. Germany has accepted illegal migration, and they ended up with the so called 'incidents', because apparently saying that illegal migrant forced a woman wouldn't be politically correct. In Poland, we are highly wary of this, because we see what happened in countries that accepted everyone without consideration of safety to their own citizens. Our women do not wear hijabs, but that doesn't make them 'impure' or something, as viewed by Muslims. Either accept it and if you can't maybe the country isn't for them.
If I, as a Polsh person went to Japan, I still would be considered a gajiin, but that doesn't excuse me from respecting Japanese values within their own home, be it taking shoes off, not eating while walking and so on. It should be common courtesy.

The reality is that certain cultures just don’t mix well. Muslims for the most part don’t mesh with Christian Western culture, there are exceptions like Muslims from the Balkans but Middle Eastern Muslims wouldn’t mesh with Balkan either, nor would they mesh with Indonesian or Malaysian Muslims. Just like African Americans wouldn’t mesh with Africans, there are too many cultural differences. It takes a willingness and decades to actually integrate.

Oh man, It's a pleasure to see that he started thinking like a true Pole ;) When it comes to immigration - if you are a refugee and you are trying to escape the warzone, you are settling down in the first safe country outside your own. So, all of those Africans or Arabs are not refugees, they are just economic immigrants. BUT. When Poles were immigrating for economic reasons, they were respecting the rules of countries like the UK or Germany (BTW, after some time British people missed Poles, because of how good immigrants they were). Those people don't give a shit about rules and respect. It's not that hard to apply for a visa and try to work and pay taxes as a normal citizen, they prefer to jump over the fence or cross the border in other funny ways, and then they will shout about racism and try to establish their own law once they get in. NOT IN MY COUNTRY. And we don't give a fuck about labels other people or nations will give as, it's a matter of our country, which is way more important than other opinions. Cheers bro

It seems to me that a few points can be expanded upon, and I'll try to do so from my perspective. Naturally, not everyone will agree with it.
Are Poles racist? Not really. We often have very dark humor in which we manage to offend everything and everyone, but it’s still just a sense of humor. We are not inherently hostile towards foreigners; what’s important to us is that they work and try to assimilate rather than relying on welfare (most Poles look down on other Poles who live off welfare). We consider Poland a safe country, and most people are aware of the potential risks associated with illegal immigration and which groups are responsible for the majority of crimes. We highly value hard work and progress, we appreciate the development of Poland over recent decades, and we want to maintain that.
Attitude towards the influx of people from Ukraine. We want to help, and we are doing so to a very large extent. Unfortunately, such a large influx has caused destabilization in certain areas of life. Real estate and rental prices have surged right after large-scale inflation, many people from Ukraine struggle to follow traffic rules, they drive under the influence of alcohol, and theft statistics have risen. In some periods, local stores were filled with people speaking only Ukrainian. Many things in Ukraine are still done under the table, which we associate with the communist era (PRL), and we don't want to return to that. Tensions are also growing due to certain situations at the political level.

    • @philaePL
      @philaePL 10 днів тому +1

Agreed, just one note about Ukrainians. The problems with them are real, but let's not forget we were the same in the 90s. It takes time and it takes an external push. We adopted the Western standards because we wanted to join the EU and it was not overnight. Ukrainians will finally adopt. They are not much different from us, they just stayed under damn Ruski Mir two decades longer than us.
But this is a good example of the problems with mass immigration. The bigger the civilization gap the longer and harder it will be to get immigrants to be equal members of society. If there is too many in a short time it's simply not gonna happen.

illegal immigration is a big risk for sure
but the worst thing that can happen is legal migrants that refuse to assimilate, later on you end up with a new generation of born citizens that disrespect your culture, traditions and often even law
both the UK and the USA have this issue and it seems parts of western and northern Europe already display signs of that too
also: if you're a refugee, closely followed by danger I'm fine with you crossing the border in a random place
but when you aren't in immediate danger just go to the nearest border crossing and ask for help there, refusing to do so, cursing and throwing rocks at the border guards is just asking to be shot
if you're expecting us to make an exception and let you cross there and postpone procedures you absolutely can't disrespect people who decide whether that happens or not, and if you do you're on your own

I feel that the way Polish people treat immigrants is based in how we are taught to behave when visiting someone's home. When you visit someone in Poland, you really need to respect their rules and boundaries (which is not surprising). Same goes for immigrants: we've accepted millions of Ukrainian refugees who ran from the war and we gave them shelter and food for free, purely out of humanitarian instinct. We have a lot of immigrants from India who do a great job integrating into our culture. The problem arises only when immigrants try to push their own rules and/or culture, or when they just take social welfare checks and don't contribute. Then people get mad, because we are not in an economic situation allowing us to give out money for free, and we really dislike it when outsiders tell us what to do. 99% of people in Poland really don't care what color your skin is, it's all about how you behave.

I think with the scale of Ukrainian immigration (I'd say up to 3 million - so like 7-8% of the population), Ukrainians receive surprisingly little controversy. As to more distant countries, I think it's a case of introducing limits and proportions for legal immigration - the more similar the culture, the higher the limit. I'd give Indonesia (or Malaysia, if they're interested) a somewhat higher limit than certain other countries.
As to negative stereotypes, let's use the example of Papua-New Guinea (PNG), a very interesting culture, but where society is split into clans (families). The clans strongly favour their own over any feeling of what is fair, and it's very common for short-lived but violent conflicts to break out between them when you least expect it, often leaving a few people dead. Now, I wouldn't mind having a dozen PNGs here and there... but I'd prefer not to imagine what would happen if we invited 20 thousand of them in a short period of time and they all settled close together...

Good attempt attempt at the 4 things to become Polish but they were more like good manners to have while visiting any country really. Being Polish has a long history of being an ideal rather than a blood heritage. We are comprised of many ethnicities including Kaszubi, Ślązacy and Tatarzy. In medieval times we were one of few countries without religious prosecution, a haven foe people of all nationalities (country with no burning at the stake). We love freedom, we had democratically elected kings and the first Constitution in Europe. If I had to name 4 things you need to do not only to be welcome but Polish they would be: Be be honest, be hardworking, be respectful and be loyal

  • @caleczny

The last sentence is the quintessence of what we Poles expect from people who want to stay here for years. The fact is that we like to argue with each other about everything, Despite everything, we are a nation open to people from outside. It bothers us that in many cases, immigrants behave arrogantly, they do not even try to keep up appearances. Generally, over the centuries, Poland has been a multinational country, but only because other nations assimilated with us. When immigrants do not want to assimilate and create a common society, it is a shock to our mentality. And the services guarding our eastern border are de facto defending Poland against the ghettos that have formed in the rest of Europe. They also protect Europeans from the enormous expense they would have to incur in connection with the cost of paying social benefits to people who clearly came to live at Europe's expense and Its citizens, giving nothing in return except the crime that can be seen in other countries of the old continent that would allow thousands of immigrants to breastfeed. We do not consent to this.

Another thing to add - Ukrainians and porblems with Ukrainians is a very local thing. You can't really look at Poles and Ukrainians as people who can be racist towards each other. Back in the day, Ukrainians were subjugated by Lithuania which entered the union with Poland - thus, making Ukrainians subjects of the Polish-Lithuanian crown. We kinda share history way too much to consider animosities as "racism". The bad blood of Volhynia is not that old and a lot of the issues aren't resolved fully, yet.

Great Polish figures like Józef Piłsudski and Roman Dmowski emphasized the idea that being Polish goes beyond simply being born within the borders of Poland. It is about embracing the responsibility of participating in Polish culture, contributing to society, and preserving the language. You can be born in the United States to Mexican parents, but if you come to Poland, learn the language, immerse yourself in its history, and engage with its traditions, you are actively becoming part of the Polish nation. Polish identity is not defined solely by place of birth, but by a shared cultural and historical experience, which can be adopted by anyone willing to contribute to the nation's legacy and uphold its values.
