Garrett is Good Good. He is basically the founder and their reason for existing. Without him they have nothing or next to nothing. Matt is the only other almost golfer and his back is limiting. Steve and Bubbie are not improving and appear to just be showing up. They all look burned out and bored. It isn't fresh anymore. They all need a break.

I agree totally. I actually get quite frustrated watching the videos when it's clear they're not remotely assed. I much prefer Grant collabs where it's competitive.
Bubbie and Steve often share that they barely play unless it's good good week. You'd think they'd care more about their game given its their livelihood. I do think this is a major part of Micah, Grant and Luke leaving. Driven people need competition and it isn't there.

I couldn't agree more . Nobody even bothers to mark their ball , display a minimum of etiquette , play like they give a damn and they look like someone punching the clock and going to work . There also seems to be little thought into the formats which are all over the place . The formats get so convoluted I just give up trying to understand or follow the results . Good Good needs to recognize the problems and create some content with some direction . I hate to say this but Garrett's golf game seems to be getting worse by the video . He is a great guy but seems uninspired and burnout along with playing his worst golf ever imo .

Already don't watch them. Didn't do it on purpose, it just happened. The peak, for me, was the GG cup when Micah left and Kwon first came. LOVED that series. Then Grant left and it killed the vibe. Now so many guys come and go and there's no brotherhood anymore. They welcome someone in I dont care about. EVENTUALLY get to know and like him. Then he leaves to make a killing of his newfound fame. GG needs new leadership from the top. Got nothing against Kendrick. But clearly he isn't running things right if people keep leaving and the core group looks burned out.

The Good Good guys are in their early 20's, but have to imagine within the next few years, they might want to get married, etc and start the next chapter in their lives, so will be interesting to see what happens over the next 12 months. This makes me think about the longevity of good good as a whole. After the core four (Garrett, Steve, and Matt, bubbie) leave or retire from good good, the company might die. It would be interesting to know their plan for the company and everything involving good good after two or three of those guy leave. I would guess that Good Good would be able to survive if one of Matt Bubbie or Steve left. Not if Garrett left. But of more than one decided to leave, then I would bet that they would all decide to call it quits. Garrett would easily survive with GM golf channel. Not to sure about the other threes personal channels. And that's the reason why I don't think any of those four will want to leave until they get older and just want or need to do other things in life.

Grant is successful because he can span the ages in golf. At 36, I have a harder time watching Garret because of the heavy frat boy vibe he’s got. Grant doesn’t have that. He could be on UA-cam, cbs, or a senior living golf club commercial, and he’s relatable.

I don't think Good Good is going anywhere anytime soon with all the deals they have. The majority of the money they make comes from their partners not you tube. It is Good Good on those Callaway products and other products they partner with not GM Golf. Plus even as well as guys like the the Bryan Bros, Luke, Micah, etc..... are doing Good Good attracts more of the younger audience I would guess so that is a big benefit to them I see kids at my course doing knockouts and stuff they do all the time for fun. As someone a little older I enjoy stroke play and beautiful courses more than knockouts and stuff like that although I still enjoy that. I think one thing they will have to adjust to is they will need to almost start playing great courses in all videos no more mediocre courses and start having more stroke play(w/ handicaps) as I think that is where eyeballs are starting to go.

  • @jonathancrow7274

You can see that Good Good is all about Garrett but he lacks the charisma of a Luke Kwon, Grant Horvat, Wesley or George Bryan, Rick Shiels, etc. He needs Good Good. I would say that there have been a number of Good Good members leaving (The better golfers with more charisma) and I think it is because of the focus on Garret as opposed to the focus on the Brand and highlighting all of the players. Grant, Micah and Kwon are not struggling but I do see Garrett struggling if he leaves Good Good

They should sell it. Or change their branding up, the massive GOOD type on the hat for example is just too gawdy too on the nose. People prefer more discreet branding unless they’re trying to show off their wealth. Their color way for their shoes and clubs is baby like idk the style needs a revamp, good good could then succeed solely as a brand because it has some much recognition already for consumers and they need not worry so much about making all these wacky vids. It feels like the brand is trying too hard , it doesn’t feel cool to me but that’s obviously just my opinion. Good good guys are growing up and their gear needs to start to grow with them

The content has become stale and the chemistry is obviously lacking on every video. If it was possible, they just need a break to recharge and refresh but brand deals and contracts won't let that happen I'm sure. Grant is staying more than relevant because he has the perfect blend of teacher and creator. Many ways to look at this. YT golf content creators need to change their published content to flow with the times, so to speak. If it were me, not that anyone is asking, I'd get rid of that whole "wheel of not-ideal" and the other gimmicks. I'd focus less on the scrambles and more on the stroke play w/ handicap. I actually recommend hitting up someone on the driving range for a 9 hole challenge (yes, you've done this): "You beat me, you get $1000 and a set of clubs" kind of thing. I'd watch that. The majority of golfers that watch this channel (myself included) are not scratch. Cater you channel ot 15+ handicap because we can relate to Steve.

Nate, feel free to share this suggestion but I think Good Good has set the precedent, and should consider openly endorsing a 6 month or 1 year "residency" with different semi-pro/pro golfers like Luke, Brad and Ben to fill up their slots. Rotate them in and out. Instead of people "leaving", it should be part of the strategy, and keep the group fresh with the core non-golfer guys remaining or taking some time off to re-charge before coming back. Between Grant, Micah, and others, I think the message is that the serious golfers can only commit to so much of the Good Good schedule before it becomes too much.

Garrett made GoodGood...and correct me if I'm wrong, but he owns half of GoodGood brand (heard that somewhere recently). It seems like he would be shooting himself in the foot by giving that up.

Let's be real clear I don't know who is telling these guys that they have a shot a becoming a pro need to check themselves. Shooting 75 every other round is not going to cut it on any tour.
They are having fun getting paid ...they need to check the dreams at the door

It’s not a bad movement. I’m just as big of a fan as anyone else in here but “fresh” content is always better than routine and nostalgia. Bottom line, it makes room for new people and opens the door to new horizons for good good.

Anyone with an iq would know Garret wouldn’t leave goodgood. He has the most passion in his videos and started that channel from the ground up. Also Garrets own content on gm golf typically does better when it’s with others on his videos. Goodgood is his life lol

I feel like with Brad and Garrett given the fact that they are great golfers, they must be looking around the space and thinking why am I wasting my time constantly playing stupid games. Yeah these are fun every so often, but not to the volume of what GG do. As a plus golfer myself, I wouldn't want to do that constantly, i'd be wanting to constantly push myself by playing better people.
I also think Kendrick is going to have a huge say in what GG do, as he could be a driving force for certain types of videos if he is seeing the dollars come in and his ego is so big he will keep pushing them all
