People always want to know if these are "real" library books, and if it's okay for me to write in them. These are all books that I bought at library book sales. They are no longer in circulation at any library and belong to me.
I’m tempted to buy Outer Banks by Anne Rivers Siddons. That story hits close to home for me 😘

I liked the card system because the dates kind of told you a story about the book's travels. And you feel connected to all those people who read the book before you.
I miss those cards! I felt the same way about them!
@@SouthernASMRSounds Totally!! Me too!! My 1st exposure to the Library was in 1st grade. I Loved seeing how many people had the book before me and how long it had been out. Simple times.
Sometimes I’d look at books in the library just to see how many people had taken them out and for how long and I’d keep an eye out for names that had read a lot of the same books I’m case I saw them in others. I’d use them like book recommendations 😂

When I was in fifth grade my friend checked out a book from the school library, and found that the last person to check it out was his own mother, 27 years before
Librarian roleplays are my favourite triggers. The typing, the writing, the dust covers crinkles...perfect!

This video takes me back to 6th grade and reminds me of Mrs. Tibbles the Librarian.
She had the sweetest and softest voice. I hated reading but I did enjoy going into Mrs. Tibbles’s library and asking her if she had any books about “owls” ( just really picked topics out of thin air)
She then would proceed to look up owls in the computer and speak to me “ Well if you go to the back of the library in row J we have several”………….

Thank you!!!!!!! The library videos always take me back to my first ASMR memory. I didn’t have the words in third grade to explain the tingling feeling. As an adult I am giddy about ASMR videos and the talented creators who are so lovely and produce these mini movies for the enjoyment of others..

In the 80s, our library had the pens to scan the barcodes with..the sound of the pens being run across the plastic cover...amazing.
I remember absolutely loving that sound!

I started it years ago, then got interrupted, I was checking the library's ebooks to see if they had them. Yes. One of them had at the bottom of the description: "RATED PG35 for licentious wit and libidinous cohabitation."
