Thank you so much for making this video - I just picked up my first ever Mosaic pattern and felt a little overwhelmed as I had no idea what I was doing. Your video explained it so clearly and I've knitted my first mosaic swatch now
Thank you ... that's fabulous! I love your bolero mosaic garment! I'll definitely check out your patterns and videos! I've made a crocheted mosaic shawl before but I dislike crocheted garments so this is super! 💖
Could you post a chart for the Christmas tree search you did, including instructions on when you knitted on the back of the swatch. This might take a whole video for subscribers to follow.
Hi! It's available as part of a pattern, it's called the Lapland Cushion and can be found in Knit Now issue 159: pocketmags.com/us/knit-now-magazine/issue-159?srsltid=AfmBOorSowu7CnxnwLtJay-Ck3ih-f2iHcbAbqrC16ehj9-VTODPWcOy
I’m anxious to try the baby blanket! Is is appropriate for a beginner mosaic knitter? I mean, you have to start somewhere and this blanket seems ideal. Thanks. Loved your explanation of this knitting technique that always intrigued and intimidated me!!!
Hey Janet, oh my gosh - thank you for watching to the end of the video! 😄 Yes the blanket's definitely a good one to start with, it's what I always taught my in-person mosaic knitting classes with. It's a relatively small motif that gets repeated a lot so over the course of the blanket you definitely get used to it - like all new skills it's a bit puzzling at first but by the end of the blanket you'll be a pro 😊. And there are full written instructions on how to read the chart in the pattern so you don't have to keep coming back to the video of you don't want. Also totally happy to help if you get stuck at all, all my contact details are at the end of the pattern.
I hope you're ready to go with all your mosaic colourwork projects now! What are you most excited about making first?
FANTASTICALLY HELPFUL…thanks from a grateful knitter in Washington, DC!
Thank you so much! Hope you've been able to give a mosaic pattern a try 😊
