Once the team got going, yes. But do you remember how ugly it was until mid-January? LeBron was playing below the rim and the team was incredibly mediocre.
Probably the most underrated postseason run of lebrons career (either 2015 or 2017, had just Kyrie Irving been healthy they wouldve won the chip and wouldve been Lebron's greatest playoff run. Averaged 30 11 8 the entire playoffs, swept a 60 win Hawks team with Kyrie and Love BOTH injured. Averaged 36 13 9 against the 67-15 warriors with the no.1 defense that year, taking them to 6 games with Kyrie and Love injured. He accomplished all this in his 1st year returning to a Cleveland team that was the 11th seed the year before. Think about that, 4 straight years of lottery picks, this guy arrives and ur IMMEDIATELY back in the finals and wouldve won had ur 2 other best players been playing.
He shot was so broken but his will and drive were next level. Lebron playing in a Cleveland jersey will always be super special. He just had that extra bit of grit and grind. 21 playoff series wins to 8 series losses. 5 finals, all against the 2 most recent dynasties. Idk how he could have possibly done more with what his teammates provided for support.
Believe it or not lol if Shumpert made that buzzer beater in game 1 he woulda got a ring this year. Because then the cavs won games 2 and 3 then they would’ve been up 3-0
Not Derozan and Lavine but Giannis, Ben Simmons, Luka, Zion, Jokic, D.Rose, Westbrook, Harden, Lamelo and Lonzo, Jimmy Butler, Julius Randle, Scottie Barnes, Donovan Mitchell or Draymond. Basically all the players who are big for their position, who are elite playmakers, scorers, who can guard 1-5 or almost every position and who are super athletic. Lebron is the biggest reason for the position less basketball revolution, just like Steph Curry for the 3pts revolution but nobody give him credit for that, we had guys like Magic, Bird, Pippen or KG (Big versatile players) back then, but we also had guys like Bird, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Steve Nash or Gilbert Arenas (Elite 3pts shooter with great range), but none of them had the combo of volume, efficiency, off ball movements and understanding of spacing like Curry, just like none of them were as versatile as Lebron with a combo of Size, Athleticism, IQ, Playmaking, Shooting, handles, power and finesse like Lebron. Back in the 90´s there was no player like Trae Young or Jordan Poole, but also no players like Giannis, Ben Simmons and Doncic (3 most similar players to Lebron IMO). So Lebron clearly had an impact, it just doesn’t show on the league stats like the 3pts shot, except for the triple double wich is a versatile player stats but because Lebron never chased the triple double they say it’s because of Westbrook but no you have more triple double because you have more Big Playmakers and that’s because of Lebron.
Also i dont understand why people compare Giannis to Shaq and Zion to Lebron. Giannis is 6´11 243, has a face to the basket playstyle, is super fast, deadly in transition with the Euro Step and Spin move, can go coast to coast with 3 dribbles, he is a great skip passer, can guard 1-5 and make chasedown block and mentally he is a hard worker a gym rat and great leader (And people cry because they think he travel all the time). While Zion is 6´6 285, with a 45 inches vertical, he is not super fast but super explosive and strong, he live in the paint but he score mostly by catching lob and alley oop, by driving to the rim and by straight up bullying his defender, but he isn’t deadly in transition, he is a trash defender and isn’t a good passer, and mentally he isn’t a hard worker and is out of shape. Lebron is 6´9 260, has a face to the basket playstyle even if he can also play in the post, so he is the best transition player ever and best drive to the rim’player, with a deadly spin move and euro step, he is the best skip passer ever and one of the best overall passer ever, can guard 1-5, he is the best chasedown block player ever and mentally hardworker, a gym rat and amazing leader (And people also cry because they think he travel all the time). Now Shaq was 7ft 300-350 pounds, a back to the basket/post player, so he had great post moves and footwork, a nice hook shot, and he was playing straight bully ball. He wasn’t a great passer but he was a great rim protector because of his size but became very lazy especially in his prime and after his prime because of his weight so mentally not a hardworker and not a very good leader. So who is the most similar to Lebron ? Giannis or Zion, for me it’s clearly Giannis, Shaq was literally 100 pounds heavier than him at some points, and his playstyle was completely different, Giannis attack the rim and create a lot of 3pts opportunity for his teammates because of the pressure he put on the defense and his passing just like LeBron, he can make some of the craziest chasedown block because of his size and athleticism like Lebron and is one if the most well conditioned players in the league and one of the best leader just like Lebron.
LeBron’s return to Cleveland year was amazing to witness
Once the team got going, yes. But do you remember how ugly it was until mid-January? LeBron was playing below the rim and the team was incredibly mediocre.
This summer will mark 10 years since he made his decision to return to Cleveland 😮 time flies lol
Such an underrated year🪣 the last year of the headband!!
Lebron james is one of a kind❤

Cavaliers was leading 2 1 if kevin love and kyrie was healthy could won 2 chips
I just can’t help but wonder how his career would like if he got a ring this year man
Believe it or not lol if Shumpert made that buzzer beater in game 1 he woulda got a ring this year. Because then the cavs won games 2 and 3 then they would’ve been up 3-0
kyrie and kevin got hurt 😔🥺💔 hurt my heart seeing ky upset about being hurt going to the locker room
@@tyshawn5983 and Kyrie wouldn’t get hurt in OT.
Then no one would argue abt the goat conversation cus Lebron would undoubtedly be the goat

And that's saying something because this year was pretty good looking back at it

Lebron gave birth to young players like Zion, Cade, Luka, Lonzo, Simmons, Draymond, DeRozan and Lavine.

@@Anthonydu01630 I agree Lebron revolutionized positionless basketball.
No longer was in his prime this season.
That’s what I thought. But then again, it was his first year on a new team
15:44 an underrated Mike Breen call lol it made me laugh
