In This Video, I show you the simple steps to firstly reset your garage door remote and then show you how to program it. Simple step by step garage remote how to guide.
Steps:
================================
|Clear existing Memory Settings|
================================
1. Hold down the A & B Button (the two closest to the LED Light)
2. While Holding down Button A (Left) Press (Slowly) button B -right one, 3 times
3. Then Release Button A.
Now no button presses will operate the light (LED)
================================
|How to Set New Learning Code |
================================
This is a 2 Stage Process:
=========
|STAGE 1| Programming New REMOTE
=========
1. Get old door opener and the new non-programmed one close to each other
2. One the old Remote that works, hold down the button that works on the door
3. Now Press and hold the button (The LED will Flash a few times and then be raon the new remote you wish to operate your door with.
4. Hold this button down until the LED light goes Solid
5. Stage one Complete

|STAGE 2| Syncing to Door Master Controller (If Above does not work)
=========
1. Put Garage Door Master Controller into learning mode and wait till it is in listening mode (Each type is different = refer to your owners manual) and then press the button you have configured.
Tried 3 different videos - the approach shown here was the one which worked for me. Note that the approach was different from the instructions provided with the remote. Video is really clear and specific on steps needed and how you know the programming is working - i.e. what LEDs flash and when. Really useful - many thanks

Thank you so much! I managed to get an universal remote from Aliexpress (not the one you show here) up and running thanks to your video. But strangely: All four buttons seem to be programmed now, but only one is doing anything - and it is NOT the one I pressed during the cloning process. But the main thing is that I now have a working clone!

I got a couple I had trouble programming them too. After a year still going strong.
Thanks. Two additional tips: Mine would stil not open the garage door, despite the led blinking confirmation. Turned out there was a tiny piece of bare metal wire broken loose from the solder on one side, on the back of the new remote. I soldered it back and now it works fine! I had to 'tune' to the right frequency by turning the tiny screw on the bottom right first though. :)
Just wondering before I pull my elderly neighbours remote apart can you actually change the frequency on these remotes if that’s what I take ‘tune’ as or you just having a laugh
@@simonkirton8521 I believe they support 2 freqencies, 430 and 320 or something like that. So it's likely some kind of binary switch.
Yep...this works, just ended 6 months of faffing about with other remotes...(but there again I am a slow learner!)

Cheers. Maybe your door master controller memory is full. you can clear it and start from scratch. should work. UA-cam it :) I think I did a video years ago that had how to reset and clear the master controller memory.

Thanks so much. Lifesaver ! In my case I only got one to work. The other would not reset . The button solid Flash after reset on every button . Edit : got it to work. Must be something about the timing issue with resetting

Hay any tips I did what you did it didn't work so tried to program of the main unit but that didn't work either maybe duds?

Worked with 4003 Rev2.1 🙂. Note to release B and click three times was the main issue I had. Was able to clone from TX3312 B1.0. Thanks 👍

Great demo mate, unfortunately my remotes just keeps flashing red rapidly when I press A and B
There are a few ways to do it... See if you can you tube another method.
My problem was not pressing them at exactly the same time.
I’ve tried this Di many times! When I press a & b together the led just flashes fast ..what am I doing wrong? 😩

Hi, not sure if someone has the same issue. I have the same garage fob, but a few weeks after programming it's not working and I have to do the programming again. I even bought two and they both lost programming at the same time. Does anyone know what could be the reason?
I got the same remote as in the demo.
I programmed it up and it works.
I had to hold the remote one metre away from the opener, cos the remote batteries were so flat.
Off to get some new batteries.
That kiwi accent just did my head in

The easiest thing for me was to climb the ladder and open gargage door opener case and use the learn button and press remote button. done in 30 seconds. :)

I have pressed both button which did the reset
I have clone 1st and 2nd button from the original remote, which worked
My first try with the gate was a success, both opening and closing
However this was the first and last time it worked, the remote still works, blue light still flashes upon press, but the gate do not respond at all
PS:The original remote is still working normally

Got mine to work thanks to your video, but the range on it is crap. I have to be almost on top of the garage door mechanism for it to work? The original one still works from metres away?

I followed all instructions and it shows that my remote is linked. But still doesnt open garage. Have tried doing it on the actual garage door as last part instructed. Flashes as if synced. But still doesnt work 2 open garage :( please help.

Please, yes for extra links. I have followed the tutorial exactly. The broblem that keeps reoccurring, is when actually holding down the original remote button and the clone one. When simultaneously pressed, I get the clone led flash a few times, but it will never do the final flash to say it has accepted the code Unfortunately, this same thing happens every time. I do hold the remotes next to each other, and have rotated the original remote to every single side, as well as to the two faces of the remote to try find the signal, all to no avail.The clone resets perfectly, as shown by pressing a/button at same time, and then releasing b 3 times. It will simply not indicate the led flash that the code has been read. Thanks
Well, after months of trying, I cannot get these to work on a Firmamatic remote controlled garage door. I still find, that on some occasions, it appears, like the video, that the buttons do not have anything stored. However, a long press of the buttons, which is needed to get my control unit to recognise the transmitting remote, that all the a b c d buttons all show a red light on a long press, and not on with a quick press. I tried so many times, I got the remote batteries go flat. Tried on three units as per the video, without luck. Does anyone use them on anything else, so I can try to confirm they are simply not compatible with Firmamatic?? Thanks for the help.

Mine just drains the new battery as soon as I install it works for a Lil bit then the light gets week then goes out

Unfortunately, I did not. After following the manufacturers programming method and also every other tutorial on the internet, I ended up getting refunded from ebay. Sorry I couldnt be any help. Good luck. :)
How would you know if your remote device is 315mhz, 433mhz or 330 mhz?
written on it. or on the the inside (Normally a sticker) or you can get a frequency scanner and press a button and see what frequency it is emitting.
