this is probably the only instruction/how to video ever made. easy to understand and to the point.
I just purchased this yesterday, and I LOVE it! I originally was looking for the Bissell SpotcleanPro, but my local Walmart/s did not have it, so this one immediately caught my eye because it was very aesthetically pleasing. It did an AMAZING JOB at cleaning my truck’s upholstery which was the reason for purchase so I’m fully satisfied. The title of your video convinced me prior to purchase.
Just bought mine right now originally i was also looking for the bisell spotclean pro but saw this hopefully it doesn’t disappoint 🤞🏼
I bought mine because of this comment.
Does the brush rotate to clean or u should move it manually?
Just used my new Hoover CleanSlate to clean the floor carpeting in my car.WOW!so satisfying! Thanks so much for your how to video. The written instructions were good.. but it s helpful to see a video.I am storing mine in a tall laundry basket w a thick towel in the bottom of it to catch the drips as the components need time to dry.Great product!Fun to use!Think I might tackle the cat tree next!!oh and btw I did a second pass w a vinegar and water rinse as the vinegar breaks up the sudsing cleaner and removes the chemical smell.
I never put the carpet cleaner in the tank, use a spray bottle with your cleaner in it scrub real good and use clean hot water in the machine.Does a way better job
I could see that working, but it also seems like you're making the job harder on yourself
@@aaronstestlab nah ,I was taught that by a professional probably 10 years ago,I bet if you looked up the top detailers on here that's how they do it.Its not about easy or hard,if you do it your way you are leaving chemical in the carpet unless you go back after with only water.
@@dustinpomeroy8817 Makes sense
This is what I do when shampooing carpet in cars for detailing, or picking up spills and accidents at home.
Interesting. I'm cleaning a large rug; not just a spot. So put the cleaner in a spray and spray the entire rug then use machine with only hot water?
I just purchased this product and am super excited to try it out! Thanks for the review!
Just tried it today.. works well first time around but I'm a clean freak so tomorrow I'll give one more go.. 🤙🏼
I've been using it probably once a week since I made this video and it's still going strong. I just make sure to rinse it well and let it dry before storing.
Thanks for the help in priming the hose! Helpful video.
These little machines are miracle workers they work great for dog pee and other stuff food etc just one simple advice if u have deep carpents be carefull to soak or avoid soaking when possible and do multiple dry slow passes for final step also buy carpet cleaning solution non foaming from ur local hardware store buy a gallon will save u some money also use water as hot as posiblr from ur tap will help loosen and lipids aka greese or fats either than that these machine are amazing but for spot cleaning
Thank you ! This is the best how to on this hoover I've seen❤
Thanks for the thorough review and testing. Looking to get something like this after a few dog-related incidents in my car and this one seems to be one of the better choices out there.
I live in Seattle too with dogs! I'm glad I found your video
Props to you with the “learn from my mistake” and sorry to the peeps who had no audio 🥹😂😂🫶💓
Thanks for demonstrating the tank lid removal. The instructions are vague, and I was worried about breaking the cheap-feeling plastic.
I just wanted to confirm the hose doesn't detach from the unit to help it dry? Thank so much you made this so easy.
It does not(without tools at least)
You forgot to mention that you can also take off the cover for the wide path tool so you can clean it better without back washing it.
Just got this cleaner and seems to do a good job. Better suction than the Green Machine. Had to prime the sprayer but doing ok now. My question is, for those of you who have this cleaner, do you always clean everything out and allow individual components to dry before storing for a few days as recommended in the instructions?
I do
I ordered mines today for $128 so we will see mines come extra cleaning stuff so cool can't wait to use it on my car seat
I use it for my detail business
It works really well for suction, but unfortunately the spray mechanism on it doesn't work on mine and hasn't since about a week after I bought it. For some reason, it keeps getting stuck in position and either won't spray at all (I pull the trigger and the mechanism doesn't slide like it's supposed to so the water comes out) or it gets stuck in the open position and won't stop spraying. For now until I figure out a solution, I've elected to just use a separate pump sprayer to spray the solution on the carpet and use the machine to suck it up.
my new one didnt come with the clear cleaning tool, not even a spot for it i guess they discontinued it
I want to use this for stairs but don’t like the fact that it doesn’t have a rinse option ( water only) ( like my upright). I’m concerned my stairs will be “crunchy” from soap left behind.
I've never found that to be the case. But if you really wanted to avoid it, put the soap solution in a pump sprayer and fill the onboard reservoir with clean water. Spray-suck-rinse-suck
"It's not just clean; it's clean enough" LOL 🤣🤣
I wanted to like this and I’m sure I will, but I have to take it back because I never got a lid or a cap. Bummed ! Thanks for the video.
That's a shame, mine's been going to strong for a couple years. Still really like it.
Thank you for this review I’m ordering mines today!!!
Thank you for the detailed information on the clean slate 👍🤗❤️
I just ordered this woohoo can't wait to clean my car seats
Just picked this up from Wally World for 90 bucks. Thanks for the info!
Super Video, thanks so much for posting, it's a GREAT help..🙏🙏😁😁
Just purchased this product lets see how well it really cleans😁🤌🏼
Good luck
What's the little grey button on top of the suction tool ?
I just bought one to use on my car and friends cars! It was on sale $99.99
Nice pickup!
That is really strange that the dirty water was coming in so vigorously like that and you got so much! I just did half of my carpet and there’s probably only about 2-3 tablespoons of dirty water that ended up being in there. Which is what I don’t understand because my carpets were filthy
That's pretty weird. Do you have really deep pile carpet?
Is fabric detergent safe to use instead of the one that comes bundled with it?
Thanks for the info 👍
So using hott boiling water in this machine is safe ? It won’t melt the plastic ?
I have no idea
Hot water yes, boiling logic says that wouldn't be a good idea.
Can you use this on a mattress?
Thank you!
I’ve had bissel pro spot cleaner and the amazing rug doctor that lasted ten years. Bissell was not adequate- in any way. Rug doctor has unmatched cleaning and extraction but no attachment at all. Hoover had way better attachments. Yes the tanks are smaller - it’s a spot cleaner for sure. But it’s perfect for quick messes. I find I can make it work as well to get out stains as the rug doctor. The bissel is overrated to the extreme. It isn’t that great at anything!
Where does the second wide brush tool go?
How many watts is it
Can you use hoover clean mate Attachments on the Smartwash automatic carpet cleaner
How do I get the wide nosle one can I get a link?
Just bought one.
Is it suppose to leak water from the bottom?
no
Did you use a hot water? I am thinking of using hot tab water but concerned that it might melt the water tank
I've used hot and cold water, not much difference from what I can tell
I have the same one. I just want to know if I can purchase a longer tube like a vacuum cleaner length to spot clean larger area not on my knees.
Which one is better? Bissel or hoover?
Have never tried the Bissel but I'm very happy with this
Depends who you ask. I've had a Bissell pet cleaner with heat function and a head with spinning cleaning brush for years and it's worked great for cleaning any carpet stains. But I always made sure to clean everything out good after each use. My best friend in TN with two dogs has had a standard Green Machine for a few years, but it's leaking pretty badly and has no suction. But she didn't really clean it out after each use. It's pretty much dead, so just got her the Clean Slate which seems to work well with better suction than the Bissells. Also, the Hoover has a 2-yr limited warranty compared to 1-yr on the Bissell. Another plus for the Hoover is the ability to completely clean out the dirty water tank, as well as easily remove the clear cover on the widepath cleaning tool to facilitate cleaning the tool, neither of which which can be done with the Bissell. I'll be taking it up to her in a couple days and I know she's going to like it.
I purchased one yesterday. The spray is not working and it is leaking from the solution tank. Is anyone had the same problem?
I'd exchange for a new one. I still use mine about twice a month and still works like new.
@@aaronstestlab You have to prime the pump 1st. Put the unit higher then the hose & turn it on but put the clear hose cleaning attachment at the end - press the spray until you get it to work. There is air in between the pump & the solution. Saw this on another review video of this Hoover spot cleaner.
Why after half an hr usage the suction block? Is it machine is too hot?
Not sure what you mean
Lock Picking Lawyer side gig?
I don't get it
I just bought this unit at Canadian Tire and it doesn't come with the crevice tool at all. Maybe they have cheapened things rather than raising prices. Lack of this crevice tool is not a deal breaker but is annoying to say the least.
Does the Canadian version come with a vaccine detector, and if you don’t comply it automatically shuts down?
@@aaronstestlab Haha....no such luck. Annoyed that it doesn't come with that attachment though....
@@aaronstestlab No, it doesn't come with daily mass shootings of children, either. And, the on-package bonus is universal heath care!
Thanks
Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement cap for the clean water? Pls lmk
Great review, Thanks!! How would this do for upholstery?
Never tried, but I would assume it would do fine.
Thank your for the video. I'm looking into getting a portal carpet cleaner for cleaning the interior of my car. Do you think this would be suitable?
I don't see why not
Can i use It for my car?
Sure
Do you know if there's a way to access the hose part itself? Apparently I didn't vacuum well enough and I can see dog hair in the tube. I'm also curious how it'll get dry when I'm done cleaning it
Why don't you just suck up some clean water and flush it out
2:36 WhAt DiD hE sAy???
You heard what you heard
@@aaronstestlab 🤣
😂
😂
Just bought one it makes a lot of noise but doesn’t suction I am beyond pissed off
Don't let it ruin your day my man. Worst case scenario you just return it and try with a different brand.
If you order online at Walmart and have it shipped to your house it's 99 dollars just ordered one
That's a good deal
Good deal. I just got one for 115$ at Home Depot
He said the toilet was the perfect "dumping ground".
Aaron, Is the Water Temperature Heated for this unit or is it Cold?
Cold
I prefer hot from the tap any pro machine water is hot ot has a heater but follow manufactures instruction so u dont damage the machine
Although I do own the model with the rotating brush, when one needs to clean their carpet that often; it might be assumed that one should remove said carpet. Further Hover and others should provide and or make accessible their varied attachments which they make as difficult as possible to obtain. I'm less then pleased with this segment of the industry as a whole. Shame on them as they could sell addon's at a reasonable cost and make additional income. Basically you are stuck with what you have purchased with the inability to add to your tools perse.
If only they make a cordless model.. then it is truly portable
Run if off an Ecoflow Delta
they do now
Are you supposed to keep going cleaning until the water runs clear? I have done my cushions a handful of times and it still seems to pull out dirty looking water.
yes. if the water is still coming out dirty that means there’s still dirt in your cushions.
put defoamer in the dirty tank and you will last longer between dirty tank empties.
Could I use this to clean a mattress?
Yes, I have
I dumb mine outside or in bucket outside
The toilet works great too !
Does it work in fabric car seats?
Haven't tried it, but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work for that purpose
Yes it does but will take longer to dry. Best to do it hot seasons. I haven't tried but I my guess it will work. I tried on the side of the couch and it only dried a bit faster because I had my wall furnace on with the ceiling fan on. It took almost the whole day and it finally dries up in the afternoon. I started at 9:00am.
hose will rip be carful
Been using regularly for two years now, no issues so far.
Why doesn’t someone make a vacuum with a silent mode? You know for moms who my have kids napping and you need to get caught up on your c cleaning. Just an idea from a mom. Well that’s my two cents worth
Physics?
I don't think you understand how a vacuum works
KARENS,stop embarrassing yourselves 😂
I always used napping time to run the vacuum from the time they were born. It taught them how to adjust to noise and sleep through it. Your not supposed to tip toe around and be hush hush when their napping.
Thats how I did it. Now my girls sleep through anything@@PJ-ho4lu
the spray function is horrible. it should be a harder mist instead of it dribbling out like that.
Use a spray bottle instead with the cleaning solution.
Purchased it and from first use it was Smokey and it stopped working. Very disappointing product.
DOES THE SUCTION DRY THE AREA RIGHT AWAY? OR IT TAKES TIME TO DRY?
Sucks most of the water up, though it's still a bit damp afterwards
@@aaronstestlab Thanks. So, How do You get it to dry completely? Air Dry over time?
@@nedunonnyp704 if it's something really tricky like car upholstery, then suck it dry. If its just a carpet, let it airdry
Where's the suction power you speak of? It's not pulling anything
On my way to Home Depot. Lol.
And use warm tap water.
Is this a tutorial or a review? I’m confused. The way he speaks is just like mainstream media so I instinctively tune it out 😂. Why not speak naturally?
Haters gonna hate
@@aaronstestlab sorry I was cranky last night lol. I apologize for that… ugh I feel stupid. Great job bud. I know it’s a lot of work making videos and you honestly did a fine job.
In fact I just purchased this machine
😂😆
Dyson is a big No! MIELE BUILDS BETTER.
This review is about neither, but I agree, Dyson is overrated
Piece of junk… used it once and now it doesn’t spray
lol just because u had a bad experience it doesnt mean the design is objectively junk
help me lord!! aaliyaH is being annoying!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't get it
@Aaron's Test Lab Yeah ,it was a completely random comment . Hey but great video bud , keep up the great work 👍
This product is 100% BAD ENGINEERING OR PURE EVIL!!!!
Save your time, money, ect. GET A BISSELL for any liquid + carpet (fabric and upholstery) divice.
Dont get me wrong... Hover makes an amazing vacuum like.... cordless air lift omg, soooo amazing
I actually have that same one it’s not that good
Disagree
Black Friday. Sale I pick up
Will this work on mattresses
Will this work mattresses
No reason why it wouldn't.
