Japa mean mediation and but hare krishna mantra is special mantra which can be meditated ,loudly chanted ,other mantra like gayathri mantra cannot be chanted loudly where as maha mantra can chanted loudly because this mantra is coming from goloka sham brought by one of incarnation called caitanya maha pr how give this maha mantra free to everyone. In Kali Sanatara Upanishad , Mahamantra starts with Hare Rama and ends with Hare Krishna but Iskcon changes it into Hare Krishna to Hare Rama. problems with this : 1. wrong chanting for long time will lead to negative results 2. Un Initiated People should not Chant Vedic Mantras 3. Mantras are Divine , Not to be given to everyone. only for One who is willing to do Sadhana.

This is quoted by Acaryas...Not just Hare Krsna Mahamantra, each and every name of Krsna like Govinda, Ananta, Sankarsana, Anirudha, Kesava, Narayana etc are also superio because they are non different from Him.
You have quoted from unauthorised places. This is no where present in Sastras, but is present in an unauthorised Gayatri chalisa.
@@leo5927 Bramhaji has not been able to know Gayatri till date. Krishna is the form of Gayatri, he knows Gayatri. But Radha ji does not have the capacity to know Gayatri in anyone else.

Brahma in the beginning of creation got Vedic knowledge from Krsna or Visnu after which he chanted Gayatri, the essence of that Gayatri is Veda and the essence of Veda is Vedanta and the essence of Vedanta is Srimad Bhagavatam. Sukadeva Goswami who is an eternal associate of Krsna also does not disclose about Divinity of Radharani because She is beyond a human perception. Talking about Her that way is not right because, She is beyond the Vedic knowledge.
Any authorized name of God should be chanted. However the montra is meant to purify us and connect us back to KRSNA! Hare KRSNA!

Actually iskon people have one concept only to glorify Lord Krishna and degrade other form of God. Gayatri mantra and mahamritunjay mantra is mantra of Vedas but this person is trying to prove himself as superior. This is quality of iskon.

Gayatri mantra is better. Hare Krishna is also a good mantra but between the two Gayatri mantra is better
