What's better than a party ship? A party ship equipped with annihilators! A great round-up of news, thank you! I'll definitely have to give the Fleet Commander mod a go, I love the idea of being able to bring some well-equipped fighter escorts for my flagship, because "unfair combat advantage" is an oxymoron.
Oh they fixed the bug with companions? Nice 👍🏼! Oh boy, I better get some coffee ☕️. My crew is gonna have a LOT to say lol 😂. I am excited to hear their thoughts on me rejecting the serpent crusade. Thanks for the update info man.
Another great video richard. That stuff about editing ini. files nearly gave me a brain haemorrhage though. You need a degree in computer science to mod this game properly on pc. Thank Todd for the creations store. 😂 I'm going mad with interior decoration on my ship & at my base thanks to a couple of mods which added (some much needed!) decoration items. Actually, i think the crimson fleet are making a comeback in the settled systems because constellation are all too busy assembling furniture on Casseopeia.
I've been working on a mod that overhauls the impact FX for blood. Starfields particle system is a completely different beast compared to previous bethesda games. Haven't thought of a proper name for the mod, so I've tentatively been calling it B.I.O.
@@Ed-ealmighty It really sucks because there is nothing in the CK to allow it. It would have to be dll'd and even that would be difficult to pull off. In the process of bethesda creating starfield, they stripped out things I don't understand why they would have.
@@mrbl3azy it feels like we're paying modders to add stuff to the game that should have been regular features Like why can only modders create modded weaponry like putting the cutters ammo pool on other weapons like a Varuun starlash... But we as players can't do that on our own in the game... Bethesda sucks at creativity and innovation they're regressing on purpose to see how far ppl will go (pay) to make they game fun in their own way using mods... Just my take.
@@Ed-ealmighty I think what happened is that they did spend a lot of time refactoring/upgrading the engine, creating a brand new (but lackluster) procedural generation for a 1000 planets. I feel they miss-spent their time on the wrong things. And with microsoft spending billions buying Bethesda, my guess is that their bosses wanted them pushing out the game before it was ready. Because if you really look at it, the game did feel like it's in early access. Their are improvements, just not ones we can directly see through gameplay. Let's not forget they did lose a few talented developers that made previous games the wonderful games that they are. All in all I still enjoy making mods. And I still play starfield, because there is still fun to be had despite the hate wagon behind it.
Great video as ever. It's awesom3 that you show the actual testing instead of just reading the notes (like most other videos). Would you know if the bug was also fixed on Outpost Managenent perk not working after going NG+? (Goes back to only 3 cargo links). I still see this and have to revert to an old save.
Wow thats crazy. Ive had the particle beam affect companions, like small dialogue and they say “aargh” or something, but they never once got angry with me or left. That must have been SO annoying
Thanks for the news! A question here with fleet commander mod. If you have like 8 crew on your home ship, and when you dock in your smaller ship that only up to 2 crew, what will happen with your crew?
@@RichardBejtlich If that's the case, when I switch back to my bigger ship, will they come back? I never notice what happened when I take over a new ship because I'm using a mod sit to add to fleet.
That Fleet Commander mod is awesome, i had no issues with it. but i don't like to use or keep it active all the time. My ships destroy anything before i get a chance to dock with them.
@@RichardBejtlich The mod is so God tier that imagining it any better is just mindblowing. First thing that came to mind for me, was a crew management system for each ship in the fleet.
who pilots the ships in fleet commander? Can you see them and do they die when the ship blows up? I was hoping to have some kind of command mod where you can get "Red Shirt" companions on planets that die like in star trek.
Hey Richard. I noticed in the Engine Fixes section you found an Abandoned Biochem Lab. I have over 1200 hours in the game, and I've never found one. Any suggestions for increasing the chances?
@@RichardBejtlich unfortunately yes I did, when I hopped on the Bethesda site they didn’t show up! It’s the same user account, so I “ re” downloaded them I’d get double notification on the Xbox window…
I feel bad that the ladies keep having to save your sorry butt. Especially Sarah. I mean. That's a low bar. Have you spoken to Andreja? She may be able to help square you away. 😁😁 Also. You will get XP for ships your fleet kills. As long as you have done at least some damage to the enemy ship yourself. Just fjy. Cheers, Richard.

Sounds cool -- I think people will like that. Let us know when you release and I'll take a look.
We had dismemberment mods blood overhauls and particle weapon death effects for fallout 4 why Bethesda took these things out I have no idea.

I would love to see starborns as bounties.

Good question, worth a test. I think they disappear, like if you switch ships at a ship tech or if you take over a new ship.

Hi there, I believe that is caused by the POI Variations mod. I don't run it too often but I have been testing it recently.
Annihilator rounds should effect companions and yourself. Just like tesla rounds.
I’ve made my companions so angry until now. I like the change. 😆
NICE! I like using NOVALIGHT and even though I dont have annihilator rounds, it still does the effect and my companions start shooting me, was STUPID!
Oh, good point! I don't use that but I like blasting away without problems in the beta. 😆
Party ship? I ran into that for the first time last night. 😂

I just wanna know if they plan on fixing the issue with creations I deleted staying in my library and not being able to remove bookmarks.
