I will always be waiting for a Ye Ji comeback. Her acting in phenomenal and she is not afraid to take on challenging roles and scripts. She may just be taking time off right now, but I think if she wanted to leave the drama and rumors in South Korea behind she could make the leap to the Western Film industry. @@YoY664 Yes, western celebrities can be cancelled for less, but it's certainly not the majority. However, this doesn't contradict my point that societal norms aren't as strictly enforced in the west as they are in South Korea. I'll never hate her. She's my favourite Korean actress. I can't count how many times I watch her drama etc. It's okay to not be okay, Lawless Lawyer and Eve. My favourite is IOTNBO ❤
All the Korean actors and actresses are incredibly talented, but it just seems that Seo Ye Ji commits to her roles in such a way that everyone on screen with her raises their game. I saw this on IOTNBO and I saw it on Eve when she was battling it out with Han So-ra. Would love to see a K-drama with her fighting it out with one of the other accomplished Korean actresses.

shes a great actress. i have loved majority of the movies she had starred in. but there is no way will i not bat an eye to what she has done. and the amount of people that has come out to tell just how bad of a person she is just clears so much to me. a statement was even released , meaning she knew she has done others wrong, but only apologized because of her upcoming drama, which is very sickning. if she is expecting people to just forgive her and not release an actual statement then i am personally not supporting whatever new activity she is going to be in. but y'all love to shed blood just to protect your precious actors, so y'all do you. edit: yes, i would drop my fav if such allegations came out and hold them accountable. i don't need them to breath.

Exactly. You see this crop in K Drama quite often. I thought western social media could be toxic but the gossiping, toxic hate etc in Korean social media seems so far over the top it's just mental. There's a lot of people who really should take a good hard look at themselves. Classic example is the recent Samdal-Ri, where all the allegations were found to be unfounded. Several of the incidents in this video have been shown to be lies. Maybe some of the K stars should start suing these toxic gossip mongerers and see how they like it in the poor house. It's ok to not be ok was; as you say, phenomenal. The main characters were exceptional and on such sensitive issues as well. Neither she nor any of the other actors or actresses are criminals so the gossip mongerers can go do one.
What a western thought process. Asian culture is largely community centric. Instead of treating an individuals identity and self expression as superior to all else, Asian culture places a strong emphasis on the community and how an individual’s actions impact that. Strong responsibility rests especially on those who are in the spotlight. Respect given to elders, conservative views on celebrity behavior and immediate action on their controversies are examples of the way this thousand year old culture is expressed in modern times. While it it has its downsides, there is also a lot of strength in these cultures as a result. Condoning Ye Ji who has already been publicly proven to be untrustworthy and very insecure and abusive, just because you like the way they act and look… thats pretty selfish. This hyper individualized sense of thinking (i can like what i like and to hell with you all) is probably why America’s in the toilet right now lol

Separate the personal and professional life? Yeah, sure, to an extent you should do that but hold everyone accountable for their mistakes so they can learn from it and be a better person. From a western viewpoint: Maybe it's time for Seo Ye Ji to look west for acting roles. There are very few actresses in the West that can match her emotional range. Yes, she needs to be sincere in her apology for her past behavior, but if she's learned from it, she'll come out a better person. As for the anti-fans, really? You stand to chase off some incredible talent.
It's not west in asia we take seriously when it's come to bullying especially in east Asia as they have the most dangerous and trumatizing bullies in the world and most of the time victims got murdered or tortured for years but never get justice
Bullying is a universal problem. Social media exacerbates the problem. We also take it seriously in the West, changing laws to address the issue. Not always successful, but we're working on it. In Seo's case, I don't think we have the full story and probably never will. Frankly, if she had a better public relations team this would have been resolved by now. Everyone who wants to vilify her hasn't even considered that insecurity may have been a driving force. And, of course, it's a personal matter. So discussing this in a public forum just seems weird and intrusive. People should be allowed to redeem themselves. At some point, the anti-fans come across like bullies.
Those people saying that her being canceled for her ridiculous past behaviors is not reasonable are ridiculous, remember she is an actress, she is a public figure so despite all of the horrible things she did if she got away with it some people will think that they could get away doing the same thing she did. Most if not all of the rumors and scandals would not make a sound over here.

@@YoY664 Yes, western celebrities can be cancelled for less, but it's certainly not the majority. However, this doesn't contradict my point that societal norms aren't as strictly enforced in the west as they are in South Korea. Generally, what is cancel worthy in SK, often wouldn't be in the west. The west is also much more liberal, while Sk is much more conservative, so this difference makes sense.

Me too. I love her acting.
She’s been proven to be a manipulator and controlling and you still support her? This “fan” behavior is one of the reasons why celebrities will get away with the most heinous actions/crimes because it doesn’t affect the fans except for their entertainment.
That says a lot about your character. You're a horrible person like her.

Did you see Eve too? I saw her It’s ok to not be okay last month , and that was the first time I’m seen her face, after I found Eve, I’m still watching it on episode 11. She is masterpiece 😍wow
Eve is definitely a good drama and by no means bad. I also think that nobody would’ve been able to play that role except for her. Too much talent, and I expect to see her star in another drama sooner rather than later. She’s one of the best Korean actresses and tbh my personal favourite.
Eve is a lesser version of the glory. It fails in quite a few departments where the glory succeeds in.

I don't give a fuck what she is doing with her personal life.
Neither she nor any of the other actors or actresses are criminals so the gossip mongerers can go do one.
idk about you but i wouldn't want to tolerate an abuser just because i want to watch a kdrama
I'm sure you're the type of person to support Ariana Grande and Chris Browm despite being sick, horrible people simply because they're "talented".

The key to a good comeback, be genuine with making amends. Don't ask for forgiveness, go out and earn it. Plenty of celebrities have made huge mistakes but have done the work to earn forgiveness. Some people will neve forgive but some will and more importantly, it makes you better. Hopefully she makes a comeback but more importantly grows as a person.
Wow, the number of ppl defending her is astounding; apparently if you're a good actress, then being a violent bully and a mean person is no big deal.

@@hongsamwine Ok, but there was never any abuse allegations . Culturally, Korea has a tendency to blame women and not men in a lot of unfair situational cases. With everything that happened and no abuse allegations, I'm not going to lean on the 1% whataboutism in this case. I also heard that she also had to follow those same commands from another source but Im not quite sure how accurate it is. Id have to find the article again.
@@LadySilence the text messages are exactly the evidence of emotional abuse. Yes, women are often blamed, but I’m saying, men can be abused too. As for the rumour that she’s expected to follow the same rules, idk how true it is, if it’s true, then they’re both really toxic with each other and they did themselves a favour to have broken up. But then again, according to this video, they mentioned that syj were filming intimate scenes whilst being with kjh? Like I said, we’d never know the extent of their toxicity. But that doesn’t mean she didn’t mess up. Same for him as well.
@@LadySilencethis isn't a gender thing please don't utilize that right now we should hold her accountable the same we would if a male actor were to do this.
I miss her💔💔
I love YeaJi as a person and a talented actress, she's so gentle and kind to the French fan Community and I like to give her full psychological support. There's nothing wrong with being different. Hope to see you soon Yea Yi!
I wasn't there so I couldn't observe the situation in reality. Attacking someone years later in a public space seems not okay to me. As a person on the autistic spectrum I know what it is when people can't understand my actions and words by my own expérience. @@idoathingcalledwhatiwant9171
Coworkers of her and personal assistants have spoken out about her toxic behavior why would you want to support a person like that ?
compassion@@melobski4
She is amazing. I love her. Social media can destroy you but I don’t care what they say. Seo Yea Ji is talented.
She herself as an actor didn't let her bf do his job, she was basically a toxic gf. Yh she's a brilliant actress but u don't know her enough to back her like this lol
If this was a man you would have said the opposite lmfao
@@maisundergroundasmrisleng5061you also don't know her enough to see if she's changed 🤷🏽♀️

She's really great actress, i loved her work in "its ok to not be ok" drama ,
I don't know the truth about her personal life but she's really great actress
She is a gorgeous lady and her acting in Eve proved she is a very capable actress.. I have been mesmerized by her looks and dress! She is spellbounding.. I hope kdrama will support her..
She is so talented. I loved her acting in It's Ok to Not Be Ok. I can't imagine any other actress filling that role. I plan to watch Eve and I hope she can come back to her acting career.
My favorite drama of all time it's Lawless Lawyer and I loved her in there. She was amazing with her acting it makes me feel bittersweet about all of this. I hope everything comes clear out and that she can become a better person later on.
I really hope she come back with more Kdramas, everyone made mistakes, no one is perfect.
Her behavior was toxic insecure behavior and hopefully she leaves for good
@@Huangraisy her bullying was never confirmed, and just look at the picture the ''victim'' said was her, lol it looks nothing like her, and the staff bullying was debunked since the one who accused her never said who she was and had no proof and THEN a real staff came out and said she was not like that at all and was very kind to the staff. and her apology just to make a stirr for her new drama was just speculation. also her ex boyfriend himself defended her and said she wasnt the reason he did that(they had already broken up long before he defended her) and that he was the one who started telling her not to interact with her co actors first, not her, she just did the same back to him.

@@Zoom03352 if it was not true then why did she apologized?
@@28mahekshe did it to make matters calm. There's this saying that goes like this "agree to disagree". So she might apologize to make matters better than before because the truth of this issue will definitely be out whether Satan wants it or not. But little did she know that her apology would be used against her.
What a poor world 😢
My favourite actress 😢so ye Ji
Love her
Always ❤❤
I love her dramas
Sorry to hear that... "It's ok not to be ok" was a great show...
I hated kdramas but when I watched it's ok not to be ok. I could not stop watching all the other K dramas
Se is. An icon.
Korea will be foolish to loose such a fabulous actor
Seo Ye Ji is indisputably a great actress regardless of her issues.
Its so good to read all the comments. Everyone supports her and love her as an actress. Its not like that she is a criminal. I don't understand why korean people just ban their actors like that. Look at indians. Our actors can spend months in jail and still have successful careers 😂
True that 😂
😂
😅
The only K-actress I genuinely admire and has ever touched me with her acting. She deserve so much better.
Are people actually defending her? I can't believe this
Yes I m too...
They’re blinded by their fangirling
Seo Yea Ji will stand back up no matter what everyone says, I love her so much
I guess we will hear Yeaji's comeback news- SOON!! 😊👌
She is a brilliant actress...I loved her acting especially in SAVE ME. She was sooo damn good in that... and it's ok not to be okay as well ..but Save Me was next level. Can't comment on how she is as a human though since I don't know her personally... but as an artist she is great and extremely skilled!!
