You correctly pinpointed Pickford's bad/ineffective long balls. Pickford also uses the long ball when he should be going short when England need to keep possession (i.e. close down or slow down the game). Compare his long balls to those accurate long balls of Verbruggen of Holland and BHA. In addition his screaming and shouting at team mates particularly when things are going badly can only demotivate. To my surprise the pundits have singled out several players as being culpable, but never mention Pickford. As you have shown, most of these players are victims of duff tactics.

I'm a Manchester City fan, but i honestly see Kvara playing as a 10...for some reason he reminds me of a younger De Bruyne before he was moved more central as a 10, back when he was playing as a RM or RW...he has great play making skills as well as incredible vision & passing, a good potential long term De Bruyne replacement
He does have vision and passing, and arguably I think Kvara is a better assister than finisher imo.

Switzerland also makes anyone look bad due to good counter pressing. A bit like Austria. But the manager didn’t adapt to Switzerlands superior tactic. Different than the favourites they counter your tactic and if the manager doesn’t have an answer it will end like Italy. As a City fan, he would be a perfect fit. City needs more guile, imagination, and dynamism on the break because we are becoming a bit too one-dimensionally system-centric. For years, City have been a perfect blend of Pep's control principles and of utter wizards and genius problem-solvers who bring superior imagination to whatever the game needs (KDB, Rodri, Gundo, David Silva, Mahrez, Aguero, B Silva, Foden, Fernandihno -- even Sterling's superior movement and Cancelo's pinpoint delivery showed great creativity despite complications). Kavaratskhelia would also alleviate some of the pressure to find the perfect free 8 combination, when we might be losing Silva's industriousness and control and KDB's playmaking and creative brilliance soon. Wirtz is just so expensive!
You forgot to mention that Kvaratskelia is the new Kinkladze who played for City nearly thirty years ago. Another Georgian wizard dribbler. Saw him play a few times at Maine Road. He was the first real Georgian Maradona

Kvara is always like this when under lots of expectations tbh (vs milan, madrid, barca), although the Portugal game he did do his job (they got a washed cr7 and nonstarters, already qualified), I still think Spain is the most important match to determine if he is really good or just a wonder.
