I have a shiv linga at home. I am seeing only positive outcome so far. Shiva is in my mind every seconds of my life. It's been 7 years and I can't remove him from the Mandir. I feel the energy in that linga. Om Namah Shivaya!!

According to me, based on my experiences in my life,Shivaling is very powerful, the whole concept of renunciation is illuminated by the Shivling. Shiva forces you to vibrate at a higher frequency, Shivling requires positive energy, until you become that you will have suffering - I have come to realize suffering is not always a bad thing:)

Chant "Om gam ganapatye Namah" 108 times or whenever you can to remove obstacles in your life. It will clear your mind... when that happens - you think clearly - with clarity comes - your solution to resolve conflicts and obstacles. It definitely worked for me :) Good Luck..
Also, Maha Mitrunjaya Mantra helps remove karma...

"Om Namaha Shivaya" is most powerful mantra, this mantra has the capability to reduce Malefic Karma. Using this mantra I have experienced since 2 years, still I'm struggling from Naga Sarpa malefic effects which was my Dad built house over Snake Nest. But the Mantra Reduceses the Karma little by little.
Those people want to experience it, then just Chant "om namah shivaya" 108 times morning and evening. See the results day by day.

Kapiel, I think you might've misunderstood the whole idea of why you shouldn't keep a Shivling inside your house. The Shivling doesn't ever emit negative energies. The issue is that the energy is so intense that you will naturally harmonise with it. When this happens, you will give up on your material existence. If that is not your purpose, then you will walk away from what ever your initial destiny of this life is. The Shivling is the phallic image of Siva and Shakti in source form. The energy exists outside of materialism.

Shiva dispels the dark energies. If you haven't been living according to the truth and the light and the right way then you might have upsets in life with incorrect use of shiva linga. Shiva is like the holy spirit and this is a powerful force in life connecting you to god. Best to be respectful of this blessed item and have it in the best place in ones home like an honored guest. Certain directions are more auspicious. Certainly useful for dispelling ghosts and nightmares.

Everything is Maya and each one is trapped in in their reality and truth - so I wouldnt say anyone is right or wrong ... at the end of the day it is your intentions and your thought matters - not whether you have a shivling or not - you respect Shivling and have real devotion - then only good things will common... think positive and manifest positive environment.. The more we dwell on the negative aspects of anything -IT WILL MANIFEST THAT!!

i dont think any imam keeps a shivling. although the kabba is supposed to have 1 shivling in it. there use to be 108 idols of shivling but mohammed had all of them destroyed but 1 and wanted to symbolize concept of 1 god so he had all 107 destroyed and kept 1 shivling in the kabba. his relatives were shiv bhakt especially his uncle was a shiv devotee. he also use to meditate on lord shiv in the mountains.

DEFINITION OF BRAHMIN: From the word 'Brhma' in Sanskrit meaning The Absolute Reality, the Godhead. The word 'brah' means to Grow and connotes' immensity'...the infinite cause and support of the Universe without any form or attributes. The Eternal Changeless reality..not conditioned by Time, Space or Causation (Kaaran). So only he who has those qualities is a Brahmin.

I agree with you! I thank God the universe, my and my husband's ancestors and my husband every morning as I wake up and every night before I sleep for all what I received/receiving including my children, grand children and above all my life that was also given and to other people! I can live because other people are there, creating that I can't create and yet necessary for everyday life, e.g. ,electricity, water coming out from tabs, house hold appliances etc. also garbage collectors. I can't thankful enough to all that are around me, trees, flowers, birds, even telephone lines, all creations of God the nature/universe and humans. My God has no shape no name nevertheless THE POWER ABOVE exists.

Shiva is useful for people with strong saturn or rahu influence in ones chart or badly afflicted moon. Can bring peace to the mind. Can help alleviate negative psychic or ghost influece etc. Try om namah shivaya mantra as a recording for peace. No one is perfect but lets make an effort in the right direction. God bless.

Of course anyone who Loves Shiva can keep Shivalinga in his/her home.
As per ShivaPurana Pratham Khanda, it's clearly mentioned that if anyone wants to keep Shivalinga, it should be around the height of his/her 12 fingers.
However, KRSchannel is correct that Shivalinga has to be worshiped with pure thoughts. Even if anyone offers water daily to Shivalinga & with utter reverence, you will somehow gets connected to the Universal energy.
    Give yourself a try !

      Javier Jaimes thank you!
I would like to recommend a love song for the maker of this video to liaten to. Its called Nirvana Shatakam.... Its sung buy many singers but i love it in the voice of Uma Mohan. For me this love song for Shiva summarizes the real meaning of a devotee and their creater. No rituals no rules no laws its just me losing myself in the nothingness and everythingness that for me is Shiva ... Some people call this feeling by different names depending on their religion but its the same concept according to me. But please do listen to this song it will freshen your senses and give you a great positive outlook on SPIRITUALITY which is what we need to persue instead of following religions which humans have made and changed through out the decades of our existance. Sorry for such a long essay but wanted to share this with everyone :) have a great day !!

    Harsh,
You are absolutely correct about love but not everyone can be Meera or Tulasidas. For the lesser mortals like us this is the path . True love that you mention is attained after a lot of sadhana and is very rare. I agree that there are no rules for a bhakt of that stature but what Kapil mentions is for everyone. Rest of us need to be pure and disciplined.

Focus on the head of Lord Shiva :- When see the side view of Lord the Jata is Shiv Ling & the top of head is the base of Jata . Jata contains huge water of Ganga so drop of water is imagined as Ganga water to cool the energy .The base of Ling & Ling are black in colour because the hair of Lord is Black. The surface of Base head is extended due to easy flow of Ling water.

Cambodians used to keep Shiv-ling under the water for irrigation to their land for better fertility. Shivling is Yoni of Shiva which is intersected with Yoni of Sakti(Yoni - male/female fertility organs) which is donates fertility. That's why if you have marital problem worshiping to Shiva will ward of such negative energy around your family and you will get bliss. He is the master of all Nine planets. "Om Namha Shivaya"

You evolve by giving up who you want to be/who you are and become who you should be.Once that is done, whether you pray or not - its doesnt affect you-
Hamsa shiva sohum ,sohum hamsa shivaha, sa shiva sohum hamsa :-)
YOU BECOME ONE WITH SHIVA - YOU WILL HAVE BLISS AND GOOD FORTUNE.
Personal experience - I dont drink ,smoke or eat meat - not because it is a religious thing but I have realized and seen the changes in my energy level when I do and when I dont - Its all about evolving :)

One may keep shivling at home but of a small size. Size will be relative to ur pooja ghar or mandir. One need to give jaldhara to shivling as it absorbs negative energies around and need to be cool down. I v one at home and since shivling has come to my home my unkown fears have vanished. I was always scared of dark reptiles and other weired fears cant describe. I dont follow any ritual i get rudrabhishek done twice a year and do normal dhoop deep.

We are all the childrens of the Almighty Shiva. And as childrens we have to treat him as our Almighty Father. Would u treat ur dad differently? Of cos not.. And why would u think that he would bring negativity to his childrens? Every house should have a shiva lingam regardless you can do daily pooja for him or not. As our life's are busy nowadays, One Vilvam leaf a day with lotsa love n bakthi (devotion) even without a pooja will please him to the max. And that is Lord Shiva. He accepts anything his devotees gives him with devotion n love. As no other God can be as simple as he is and as powerful as he is. And Shiva Lingam symbolises intense cosmic atomic energy. Negative energies will not be radiated by Shiva Lingam as it is a symbol of infinity.. Some say its resembles Shiva n Parvati which may or may not be true and some say its a charge like proton electron neutron which makes more sense as lingam is a power source with no musculinity or feminity. it's up to u how u wanna take it. However, he is the Universal energy.. The bottom line is he doesn't cause harm to anyone but good to everyone. Shambo Shivaya!!!!

Yet, in another video you advised getting a shivling and pouring 2 litres of milk on it in the home if the temples do not allow doing so. So what is right?

Of course you can keep Shivling in your home once you show respect and love daily to it. Never eat nor touch it if you eat meat/ liquor nor have sex around or are in an impure state from having gone to the toilet. Best one to have is Parad Shivling! Women must not handle it in an impure state either. Om Namah Shivaya.

No Shivling should be kept at home. Incase you have one please jalprafah them or float them in a river..
Because shiv ji likes to stay under a tree, on a mountain or crematorium...deaths may occur in the house where shiv ji kept.
These days people say off course you can keep parad shivling at home but only is you are a preist, vegetarian, non drinker, and live in riighteous manner...
water should be falling on shiv ji just like in the temple 24/7...otherwise he will became very angry....
shiv ji is also a destructor!!
THERE ARE TWO - forms of Shiva Lingam
Shiva Lingam is worshiped in two common forms - Chala (Moveable) Lingam and Achala (Non-Moveable or Fixed) Lingam.
    Chala Lingam (Moveable Lingam)
The Chala Lingams may be kept in the shrine of one’s own home for worship or prepared temporarily with materials like sand, clay, dough or rice for worship and
*****dispensed with after the worship******. (Note this)
Another form of the Chala Lingams can also be worn on the body as a pendent in the necklace etc. Chala Lingams are often made of quartz, mercury or metals.
    Achala Lingam (Fixed Lingam)
Achala Lingams (or fixed Lingams) are installed in temples and are un-moveable once they are installed. There are rigid rules for achala Lingams which must be followed. Achala Lingams must be offered prayers at fixed times and without failed and greater sanctity is maintained. Usually Lingams are made of black stones.
We can keep photos of Shiva at home, no reason not to keep it. May be they say because shiva usually loves to lives under tree, crematorium, Kailash etc.

I have 4 SHiva lingams in a special room. No problems since 2 years. Problems depend on our mind.

Do Ishwar exist only in Shiva Linga? How can pouring milk on Shiva Linga take away bad karma? This is ignorance. Vedanta don't say anything like this.

According to my opinion we can keep shivling bcoz shiv does not follow rituals if you read shiv puran you can find shiva just wants pure devotion and bhakti narayan or vishnu is fond of rituals+devotion not shiva.Narmadeswar shivling can be kept at home but for westbengal or bangladesh people who can't easily get those narmadeswar ling can worship black stone shiv ling in home not more than 6inch.that requires jal-dhara and 5times aarti and one more thing don't keep white stone shiv ling i.e kaal-bhairav ling and mercury shiv ling coz that requires perfect rituals which can't be observed or follow in home.and it's very tuff to worship little mistake will provide misfortune.don't fix shiv ling in a bedi that requires proper pran-pratistha which leads you in a tuffest routine of worship and rituals.
