I got my Marisa into Diamond without using Drive Rush or Cancels. Just too much mental stack already going on. Seeing this, maybe I should learn how to use those tools and get her even further.
@@Sentom23 I have honestly not really touched her since I got her into Diamond. XD I've been going through a pattern where I would pick a new character and get them up into Diamond. Lately it has been Lily and Ryu and now I'm working on Aki. :P
@@Sunesen Have you been doing DR or Cancels on your newer characters? Whenever I hear stories like these I remember how Justing Wong has a video playing with only 1 button where he even beats a Masters player, just proves that fundamentals go a really long way

Mostly I'm not comfortable enough with characters to pull out long complicated combos from Drive Rush or Drive Cancel, so I just rely on proper spacing where I wiff punish my opponents, anti-air them and generally just get inside their heads and counter the things they do. If I want to get past Diamond though, I will probably have to get good at DR and DC as there is only so far you can go while leaving all that damage on the table and the players in Diamond level are generally good at not making too many mistakes and that makes my gameplan quite hard at that level. :P
Theres no real issue with modern to me, they all bleed the same and can bait supers more with them. It's just that Marisa, with either controls, can ko you if guess wrong 2-3 times
M control is fair game. Why pple are pissed is probably because they are older SF players who put in blood and sweat to learn C control. M control players technically got it easy.
Funny how people get ansy about some stuff like sports, games... competitions really. Most here, maybe all, are not even close to those players levels and still talk shit about modern controls or Daigo been old but wouldnt even be able to take a single round out of those two players. A 42 year old guy could beat anyone here in the comments, not just that, he consistenly beat a lot of pros and his winrate is at the moment above 65%, and the Marisa who plays modern have almost 2200 mr. I gotta say, some people are just salty they cant be as good as those guys so they down play everything they do. Must be sad to live this kind of life. Hahaha

There's no "cheap" way to play. Those are extremely good players. Hit grab is the most potent mix-up in the game. It's just how sf6 is. If you have been playing it after the launch and failed to realize it I'm sorry you have the wrong impression about the game. In sf6 offense is extremely strong and defense very basic. That's how it is
People should stop thinking Daigo has to win every single game he plays, he's over 40 right now and he's still better than 98% of the fgc. He should play as long as he's willing to do so, as the rest of the world should.

No sé de qué hablas. Daigo todavía juega a un alto nivel y llegó muy lejos en el torneo EVO. Creo que aún es temprano para hablar del retiro.
