This camera was way ahead of its time. Thanks to a quality lens it punches above its weight. I use it when fishing and have captured some stunning sunsets with it. Furthermore, its ability not only to focus on an object in the dark, but to light it with the inbuilt flash is phenomenal. Great battery life, easy to carry and with the cost of memory cards being so cheap these days, you'll never run out of space on those long holidays. I bought one from new when they first came out and have replaced it several times (with the same model) due to a few mishaps on the steep river banks where I fish. I bought a secondhand Sony camera 12MP thinking it would be even better, but apart from offering HD video it pales to insignificance next to it when it comes to stills. This is a wonderful little camera and your mates will be stunned when they see the images it produces.
Was cleaning out my photo gear and came across my Cybershot from back in the day. After watching your video I can't get rid of it now! It was my first digital camera, ah memories.
I actually own one I got it for only 8 British pounds and damn the quality is actually pretty good even today, most front cameras in a average phone is 8 megapixels so neat.
This is the best bit of kit i own and i have 4g £2500 vid/camera. The p200 fits in my pocket and i have got some of my best shots on it . ok 7.2 is not the best but timing is everything and you can never replay that moment .I take it everywhere you never know when you will catch a A list star off guard £ 30 soon becomes 2g for that one off pic . And you have a cat in hell's chance of getting in the ritz with a long lense . Yes its old but who's to say it out of date new does not mean better LOOK AT LPs
@@gen3141 I did! You have to have a chip reader that the chip matches and can connect to your computer. I think I got it on Amazon. Let me know if that didn’t help lol
If you have the camera, and the USB cable that goes to it, you won't need a card or "chip" reader. With the memory stick in the camera, and your camera connected via USB to your computer, the camera itself becomes the card reader.
P100 and P200 owner here, P100 since 2004, P200 since a while. I also got a W830 Sony (2014) and it does a MUCH BETTER JOB in focussing, as expected 10 years later/newer. Im not even close to as stunned by the 20MP CCD sensor on the W830 as i expected, but its another noticable upgrade from the P100/P200, especially the optical image stabilizer is a pretty needed feature on such a small body (prone to camera shake)
These Sony Cyber shots are fare better than modern day mobile phones. Because you can zoom in many more times than a mobile phone. Even when you use a mobile phone taking a photo, on play back on mobile phone is only 3x. Old digital cameras are far better with zoom up 6 times faster. Also, Sony cyber shots camera are made in Japan and not china as modern days cameras are mostly made in china and are not as good as cameras made in Japan, Japanese cameras will last a life time never let you down as cameras and mobile phones made in China are not good.

Thanks for watching!
Iagree with Richard. This is still a great little camera. Beats shots from my galaxy s phone hands down. It might be 'old' but it aint dead.

Where do u buy it at?
this camera produces very good images....5 megapixels can outperform 16 on the same size sensor.
Amazing one!!!!!!
Please tell how I charge this as I lost my adaptor
You can get a charging cable off Amazon. That’s what I did!
