I think what I got out of this the most is that there is a mature confident vibe to '22 Hayley. Like knowing of Hayley for so long and what she went through, she seems to be more at peace with things. But I do get nostalgic for '09 Hayley and Paramore. That when I first saw them live. It's like damn '09 Hayley has no idea what's in store for her. Also it's such a great song, I hate twilight but I LOVE Decode and I Caught myself.

I *guarantee* that you are moving (even just a little) when you're not filming and it's a catalyst for other people to move more or less. The original is more pure, passionate and sung with raw heart. There’s a different tonal uniqueness to her voice when she was young which is absent in her more recent performances. It’s that tone that gave paramore its signature sound.

2009 Paramore is more powerful, shout-y, Hayley's pitch is a little bit higher. 2022 Paramore is little bit slower tempo (2009 clip surely was slowed down a bit), more veterans, lower pitch in Hayley voice but more in control with the breathing part of singing, more apealing to the audience. 2009 version is for the nostalgic emo types who grew up with Decode as part of their personas, 2022 is for people who enjoy the music and has seen Paramore evolve through the years. I knew Paramore with Ignorance in MTV (lived in Venezuela at the time, not any other way to know Paramore back then), and have been in love with their music ever since. I particularily like Brand New Eyes more than the rest, I believe that's punk-rock Paramore's prime, but Paramore is a living thing that has been keeping up with the times, and now This is Why is an interesting evolution of their music and style. All in all, Paramore is such a wonderful thing to see and hear (their stage presentation has ALLWAYS been amazing).
