As someone who’s been cosplaying for ten years, there will always be another con to have the chainsaw arms at and improve on what you have. No sweat no worries
I'm currently making a CSM cosplay myself. It's of Denji's chainsaw form. Making mine from a cardboard box and trying to match it realistically as possible to the real thing. I might add some lights within to give the glowing effect of the eyes later on. Btw, this cosplay was sick and the effort was definitely worth the result.

I love it when handmade cosplays look better than their expensive store-bought counterparts. Amazing job!!!
As cool as this is it’s not better looking then the expensive counter parts watch 11:49 for example
@@currencross3946 yeah, but the fact that Den handcrafted it and took her time in getting it ready with a due date is what makes it amazing. She wasn't lazy and bought it, she actually crafted one for once in her life. It's not accurate as the purchased counterparts, but it's accurate enough for ANYBODY to tell that "oh, that's Chainsaw Man!", and that's all that matters. People enjoyed it and she made others smile with it. It's a 9/10 imo

I just made my first cosplay too, and I also had the amazing idea to make it in 2 days. It was also chainsaw-man and when cutting a piece I accidentally cut my finger which lead up to get stitches. However, I did end up finishing it and will always have a scar to remember that day.
Oh nooo! We're both coming out with scars after this.

I feel your pain on your first cosplay. I did that with Vigilante Deku had to modify parts of armor to fit properly. And did chainsawman after 💀teeth were the bane of my existence. Also words of advice Plasti dip your stuff to give it a primer coat. i did the same mistake you did with reg can paint.

seeing this in-person was crazzyyy - was literally admiring like a work of fine art🧐🧐 it was serious commitment wearing this big thing to the con haha
I gotta say, considering the time that you had of only a couple days, it came out really really good. I have friends who make Cosplays and it can take them weeks to make their cosplay. Despite the rush you were in it really does look dope. 👍👍👍🎉

My first thoughts when she began spraypainting the styrofoam got confirmed by her within a minute lol! Impressive cosplay tho!
I definitely would of used softer foam, or even maybe some of those rubber mats used on hard floors instead of styrofoam.
hard styrofoam would of made me too anxious, because one hard bump from a wall or person, and that might of snapped right in half, something that sticks out that far, needs to be made out of a bendable/flexible material. It also makes it a lot easier to pack into a suitcase, or storage for later.
This look sick! I wen to the Comicon in my area a few weeks ago as Hunter (the owl house) and went to the the owl house meet-up and it was so awesome there were like 15 other hunters, cosplaying is just cool. Also your hair coler is so beautiful omg ✨

This looks amazing! Some tips for cosplaying in the future is always seeing if there’s tutorials for it to begin with just to get some ideas! Especially for this cosplay, there’s a lot of tutorials online that go into detail.

Lmao I got those same lights for my Tokoyami cosplay. Made a puppet of dark shadow and used the lights to make dark shadows eyes glow.
Wonderful job! I don’t know if you had any building skills before but you did great! Yeah I found out the foam thing the hard way too. The precon crunch gave me flashbacks to rushing to finish my own projects before an event too. Staying up all night with my guy trying to get stuff done. Yikes. Talk about a relationship test! 😆
Hahaha. I also did a chainsaw man cosplay as well in 4 days. Unfortunately, I only finished the top half of my cosplay but the jaw had to be scrapped due to lack of cardboard. So I had to make do with a fabric mask with teeth.

It's incredible how amazing it turned out!!! This project looked like it was the definition of begging yourself to trust the process, and I've been there several times. I don’t really make cosplays because I never think I have enough knowledge to. This video is kinda inspiring ngl 😅

My first was simple:
I already had hair that was almost exactly like kris deltarune’s,
Even the weird bit that sticks out the top.
I then wore my school uniform, (green shirt, brown pants), and then put a yellow band of paper around the shirt.
I then made a full replica sword out of paper, with a yard stick inside to keep it in shape.
It was surprisingly good.
I then wore this at school.
No one stopped me.
I already kinda had a rep as “that one kid who wore a scrap hurricane metal shoulder plate and a gauntlet of leather and Kevlar to school, and a cowboy bandana during quarantine”
So this was basically normal.
This was really dope to watch and see how it all came together.
Chainsaw man is my favorite manga series and you’re my favorite UA-camr so this was pretty cool!
Was this the best way to do it? No but for 4 days it looks AMAZING and works super well and for that alone you should be super proud of this
I have not seen much stuff about cosplaying, but if there's a CypherDen video, you can bet on it that I’ll be there! She has a ridiculous amount of determination finishing a project like this, I could never!

Can confirm: I made mine as my VERY FIRST PROP and it took me 3 weeks to make the whole thing, and it's being held together by a ton of hot glue and hopes & dreams.

i get this, i just made my first fully handmade cosplay and although it wasnt as hard as this (bcs it was just clothes), it still took me quite the time and didnt get enough sleep 😅
