Informative video. I found spices, winter clothes and utensils really important out of these. Would love to see more cooking videos if possible from your channel.
This was very useful and any kind of help in these uncertain times really takes away quite some tension and nervousness. Thanks! Waiting for the next one!
Shraddha....Thank you so much....My daughter was just wondering about what to carry and we parents were not of much help. Your efforts to make this video is highly appreciated.
Thank a lot Shraddha for making this video. I was looking for such (good) a video since few days. Now I know where to look. Also thanks for sharing those 4 links which I am sure will be useful for Indian students when they are are in Germany. I am definitely gonna refer those website for groceries. Thanks a lot once again.
@@charmiepatel3636 I don't it know. May be those were in the description. I am not sure. But if you are looking for a websites to buy groceries I know two of them. One is called Jamoona and another is spice village. May be you can visit these pages and compare the prices.
Hello Shraddha. You have done a pretty good job in bringing together this video. My son is planning to come to Germany next year and this video is really very informative. Thanks for taking so much trouble. Thanks. Best of luck for your future.
I find your pack list quite interesting. I would NEVER EVER lug wooden spoons, pots and pans or daal and water cookers to Germany. All of these can be bought for VERY little here. You only have to look at the right places (we have amazing Asia food stores and IKEA sells pretty much everything you would want in a kitchen for very little money). Spices - okay. If you are used to certain spices, I understand you would want to bring them. But really, most of the stuff you mention (f.e. pens and paper or personal hygiene products?!) are made in Germany at high quality. I don‘t see why you would bring those and not personal items and clothing, etc. I am confused...
I think she is trying to help anyone who is very New to Germany and doesn't even know where to look for things and probably yet to make friends or how to travel there.. How much ever research one does, when it comes to practical experience things are different, as each Country is different. So this may help during their initial weeks/ months of stay. Just my view...
Yes, interesting to know that if they could bring their whole kitchen, they would. For them, personal items are probably more cheaper to purchase in Germany than their wooden spoons, pots, pans etc. They also like to cook using their own wares. Now you learn new things from other nationalities and that's not bad
Yes, but it is just the opposite: both food and cookware can be purchased for relatively little money, whereas clothing and such are relatively expensive. As a student, she most likely will be included in a welcome program of her university, so she will have people to ask for where to get things from the get go if they don‘t supply her with initial shopping buddies or good instructions where to go to for which items..... To me, it would be more important to bring things I CAN‘T buy where I‘m going, pictures of family, and such. I have lived abroad three years myself and every time, I didn‘t pack a single cooking tool as I was more curious about the local cuisine and cooking habits than wanting to have the same old that I have know already for 20 years. Quite on the contrary: I usually ended up bringing cooking utensils from my host country back home to be able to make things I learned to make and love while abroad...
I do work at a German university and was responsible for organizing such help for incoming foreign students. We had a program in which we (in the department) matched individual incoming students with up to five German students in the department who were responsible for contacting the student before departure and to respond to their questions, assist them with packing for our university and location (what clothes would be useful etc.), then were responsible for doing first errands (registration with university, registration with city, setting up health insurance and all of the red tape) and to take them shopping for their initial needs. Also, all international departments at German universities have fresher‘s weeks that talk students through what they can get where etc. It‘s not rocket science... It‘s a chance to make friends in the foreign country even before arrival and to have someone to turn to with questions of where and how to do things in the new country. It is a great chance for both incoming and local students to get to know each other, to practice foreign language skills and to experience new cultures and make new friends...
The most awaited video is here🤩🤩 Keep going Shraddha. I have a question, if we rent a fully furnished apartment in Germany, they don't have utensils and other kitchen commodities?
No. They don't have utensils and other kitchen commodities. No company (HWG, BWG, Frohe Zukunft) in Germany provides that. But, if you rent a room in a WG, then usually you get all the utensils and kitchen commodities. I hope that helps.
I just need clarification on these products if anyone can tell are these allowed to carry in check in baggage from India to Germany? - Ghee, Cosmetics, Rice, scissors, sweets like kaju katli or besan laddoo?
Amazing video. Helped me a lot with packing. Thanks for the details. Can you please let me know on the shampoos/bodywash/moisturizer?some good brands? Is it better to buy there or bring from India?
Hello ma'am, thanking you for helpful vdo, ma'am also make vdo about job opportunities and also please make any online platform where we can connect you in most important needful info.
In my case I'm focusing on my clothes, bags, shoes, accessories..my things are all designer brand and for my knowl...buying such is very expensive in Germany...and is things I've bought during several years. For kitchen electronics and others ...I'm not like Germans, I'm ok buying the cheapest second hand I can find lol 🤣🤣.
As per ur instruction the food stuff carried by u to Germany is it applicable to all category traveller? Do we need to give the declaration at airport what all stuff we r carrying. If possible pl clarify.
you must be quite shocked form our prices for gee and spices. a litte tipp: find an asian grocery store/supermarket in your city. they are much, much cheaper. dont wonder if they have a chinese or vitnamese or whatever name, they usually sell alle the asian spices and foods for much better prices. the regular supermarkets are a ripp-off, because people here think that indian food is exotic and are willing to pay fantasyprices. Stay Awesome
The video was really helpful especially the point about eye drops... will keep that in mind. But are normal nourishing eye drops available in the local drugstores?
Hi I'm planning to go Koblenz Germany on my work permit. As a bachelor what do you suggest how can I get a shared appartment or what I should do immediately after landing in Germany?? Please suggest thanks...
Your video was pretty sweet but short. I was trying to order a universal adaptor but found out that nothing supports my 3 pin iron box. Every one suggests not to use iron box with their adaptors. Any suggestions regarding the adaptors or do you think it's better to purchase a 2 pin iron box in Germany?
Hello Sister I just watched your video , You have mentioned lots of stuff. But can this stuff would be allowed to flight. Cause we have limited amount of baggage weight to flight . So what if they not allows us to bring this too many items in the flight
Hey, there's one thing that I want to check. How did you carry 75kgs of weight from airport to your place? I heard that it's difficult for one to carry all of it on his own
do you mean that Pirates Bay doesn't work there? I mean like movie is my heart and soul. I can't live without it. My lappy is same as yours. But how do you live with such laptop which takes a huge (like 40GB or 50GB) as system storage! Airport is also very expensive.
