I've been to Belgium. Went to an unknown city in the northern Flanders part in 2017. City was nice and I enjoyed myself there. Ran into an old man who wanted to talk to me, my mom, dad and sister. He was a shop keeper of a store. He offered me some vegetable, but I turned it down. The people were friendly and sociable. I never been to Wallonia in the south and seeing this video, that drive on the autoroute and the nice little village is stunning. I know Belgium has Dutch, German and French, but since I am into French and want to learn how to speak it, I just wonder if the French in Wallonia is like Metropolitan French in France. German spoken in the eastern part of Belgium near the border with Deutschland (Germany) is like German from Germany. I think. It doesn't have a name like Dutch and French. Belgium is a beautiful country. The song of the Walloons (Le Chant des Wallons) is powerful and amazing. I was blown away after listening to it on a UA-cam video. It is better than the national anthem of Belgium. Belgium is a country that I wanna visit again in the future.
@Doffy Rob , So Belgian French and standard French (Metropolitan French in France) are the same. You said a few differences here and there, so Francais in both countries have different dialects, but overall they both understand each other.
That was a beautiful drive!! Thank you for recording such a stunning drive, and the little hamlet (village) at the end really made my day. 😊 Belgium is a beautiful country, just like the rest of Europe. Each country has it's own beauty, stunning vistas, beautiful roads and highways, and each one has something unique to offer. I appreciate your dedication to making your subs happy, along with yourself, by taping these trips around Europe. 👍😊🐸
I use 2.5x for most of my videos now. I make the signs with inkscape or paint.net. I have templates that I can reuse. Wikimedia Commons has many signs that you can copy or adapt.
I drive this motorway fairly often (a few times per year, outside of the main vacation exoduses), and you often see more yellow plates (NL + Luxembourg) than Belgian ones, especially farther from Liège. Most of the area is also pretty thinly populated. Traditionally the main route south was via Marche (N63 / E46).
They have motorway lighting pretty much everywhere. There is a story that it is supposedly done to consume excess capacity of the nuclear power plants at night, I don't know if that is true.

Thanks! I wanted to record a longer stretch, but the accident + traffic jam ruined that plan
This video has more motorway lighting than the whole state of Arkansas :) Thanks for sharing!
Fun fact: despite the bad bad road quality, Belgium is the only country in the world with a completely lit motorway network :)
All the Roads are lighted here in belgium
RumbleBelly that’s no longer the case
@@rumblebelly7429 bad bad bad road???????????????? you never been in Africa???????????, Belgain s have nice good cars and a lot 4X4

Mooi stuk weg.

Where are you coming belgie and nerderland
@ RumbleBelly La Baraque de Fraiture !
@@sosteve9113 La Baraque de Fraiture !
Is this 2x or 3x times the normal speed? Also how do you make the road signboards? Always love your videos.

It's a beautiful area! You can go skiing in your back yard...
@@EuropeanRoads yes
A highway probably more known to the Dutch than to the Belgian people.

Wow. That looks really old.
Almost the entire E25 in this video opened to traffic in 1990. But if I said 1960s, you could probably believe that as well...
Hmmm yes, the Ardennes :)
😃👍👍🙋
Road is in belgium but all cars from holland😁
And Luxembourg
I m from houffalize & luxembourg...
Should the motorcyclists have been on the wrong side of the hazard objects. Law unto themselves. Then it is all moans when they get killed.
Is Belgium like Norway in that all motorways MUST have streetlighting, even in rural areas ? I though Norway was alone with that.

nope,Belgium does it to,but because of cut backs now they only light the exits on the highway
(mostly on the flemish side)
Nonsense of course :) The eventual excess is sold on the European network.
