Yamunotri yatra 2024 (yamunotri dham yatra 2024/यमुनोत्री ) has been started from 10th May l 2024. Yamunotri dham is the first holy shrine which is visited during char dham yatra which includes yamunotri dham, gangotri dham, kedarnath dham and end at badrinath dham. Yamunotri dham yatra or trek starts from Janki Chatti (Uttarakhand) which is of 6 km and can be done by walking, through pithu, palki or horses.
To reach janki chatti via public transport there are two ways:
1. Reach Haridwar - Take bus going to uttarkashi and deboard at dhrasu band - take another bus to barkot - sharing jeeps to janki chatti.
2. Reach Dehradun - take bus to barkot - jeep to janki chatti (I started my journey from Dehradun
