  • Two highly toxic chemicals that would ignite spontaneously when mixed were used as fuel and oxidizer on the Titan II. They could be kept on the missile for years at a time at a certain temperature. This allowed the Titan II to launch at a moment's notice but required some very special equipment and procedures if it had to be removed. Join Mike Riggs at the Titan Missile Museum for an explanation of some of these displays.

Well finally. You're bringing all the PTS gear back out. Paint looks great. Only you parked the trailers all wrong. Go into your library and find the following tech data: 21M-LGM25C-2-12. That is the "holy grail" of PTS manuals. It will show the exact placement of PTS gear.
If you're going to show the Museum accurately then do it right.

Where on earth did they find all the other pieces? A year ago, it was just the holding trailer. Must be some eagle-eyed folks looking for items!

Pretty sure the trailers were stored in a warehouse by the government for security reasons after the Titan silos were all decommissioned. After years of being stored, they restored the trailers for their new mission: museum pieces.
