Most other videos have extra steps. This is the trick the creator uses to make the video longer. It annoyed me, and is the main reason I created my channel.
Thanks for the video, I’ve seen the kits on Amazon but not sure which to use because they have different oil viscosity. I have a 2020 Can Am Outlander Max 850. Which oil viscosity would you use?
@@Maxsmotoshopmy manual gives me the option for all 3. It’s the 5W-40 blend for “General Use”, 0W-40 full synthetic for “cold weather” and 10W-50 full synthetic for “hot weather”.
Way easier than most other's I've watched. I'm a subscriber now.
Thanks for the sub!
Great video - straight to the point with no boring extras! Love it
Exactly what I was going for. Thanks for the support.👍
I really appreciated this video. Other videos made this look a lot harder than it actually is. I think i will try to do this myself.
Thank you !!
Same here!

You made my job so easy with this video. Thank you for making it!!
👍 thanks for the support
I personally wouldn’t have covered up the oil filter yet until i ran it to make sure the oil filter cap wasn’t leaking
Good one On my 570 I used to remove the floor board. A pain. I ordered a bunch of push pins from Amazon. They get brittle and caked with dirt
I prefer not to remove the floorboard
Hello. Will it show if something is wrong with the 4x4 on the screen?
What did you clean the air filter foam with? What oil did you oil it with ?

Is there a trick to removing the plastic push pins in the fender well so I dont break them??
I use a pair of side cutters and pinch them. They usually pop right out.

Use 0W 40 for the winter and 10 W 50 for the summer
@@MaxsmotoshopThanks for quick response. Any experience with their 5W-40 synthetic blend?
@@JeepDude24 there are a few machines that actually ask for the synthetic blend but most the time you’re better off using the fully synthetic

I’m about to do my first oil change on my 2021 canam outlander 850 xmr… what oil weight do you recommend?
does that work for my 2023 850 outlander xt?
Yes, it does check my channel page. I have a newer video for the 2023.
What happens if a new can am 850 engine light and oil pressure light comes on and stays on until the full display comes on with 0 miles
As long as they turn off which the machine is fully powered up or running everything should be just fine
How many quarts dose the outlander 850 take?
The kit comes with 2 1/2 L
Wow every other video on UA-cam says you have to completely remove all panels from one side
Not necessary they just like to make their videos longer to put more income in their pockets. I hate that.
Would you recommend pouring a bit of oil into the filter before installing, like you would on a car?
You do not oil a paper air filter no matter what vehicle it’s going on and as I said in the Video I cleaned the foam and oiled it before reinstalling
@@Maxsmotoshop Awesome! thanks for the response, appreciate it.
Is the the same for a 2020 Outlander?
Yes it is
@@Maxsmotoshop Thanks for the quick response!
What kind of oil did he use
This customer wanted 10 W 50, but I would recommend going with 0W 50
@Maxsmotoshop even in a hot climate like louisiana?
What kind of oil did he use
Looks like we put in 10 W 50 that time but I would recommend going 0W 40
