Every time we scale back, scale down... I'm AMAZED by the results. Kids always bickering? Get rid of the toys. Shut down screen time. Go outside. 😱🤯 Truly- mind blowing the difference!

These are some great tips! I need to have a full program on simplifying. I get extremely overwhelmed and freeze, then do nothing.

Same, or I end up jumping from task to task, because there's so much that needs to be done...that I only end up doing a little bit everywhere and it appears on the big picture that I didn't do anything but a lot of half completed jobs

I do share this, if it can be a help: bit.ly/44MnNrK And I probably should do a video going through the steps... I have done some similar if it can be a help: ua-cam.com/play/PLXtO3I3A_NfV6qPlsOQtw4WwJfDeyJEsr.html

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm seeing/hearing this today! You are so right about clutter and chaos. I am currently purging a certain collection of things that's taken over our home. The need to clean up and clear out has taken over in this season of my life. Yet, I stood in my living room yesterday literally crying to my husband that I feel crazy because I'm just moving one pile to another space and then moving it again with the idea that if it's over there, then it won't bother me that it's still here. I'll get there, it's the slow process that's overwhelming. Thanks for sharing this one today!

Yes And Amen ❤Ladies it is worth it to start working towards the changes at our homes . It won’t happen over night so please don’t get discouraged that you are not yet where you want to be, it will take some time but as long as you are pursuing the changes overtime it will bring a good fruit of order . It takes a mind set and discipline and creating a new habits . One day at a time ❤. She is saying the truth I was there too . And pray because sometimes we cant let go of stuff on our own strength. This really brings a lot of freedom when we don’t hold to things we don’t really need and what is No longer serving any of the purpose in our life ! You be glad at the end 😊

What did you call me?! *Looks around room....* 😳😓 Fair. 😂
I'm relieved with the perspective of passing time...I've finally been starting to get a better grip on our home after a decade. We lived in one room with family for the first 4.5 years of being married, and with our first child. I had ZERO idea what I was doing as a parent and also dealing with new genetic health issues triggered by pregnancy. So I feel a bit of relief in being gentle with myself. Not an excuse! But to stop guilting myself into a corner.
Then we finally had our first home but more chaos~until we accepted salvation. Then we were blessed to be able to move after 3 years in our first apartment just us.
Now it's been about another 3 years, another move and I am still trying to get a grip on the home. Certain areas are much better but I'm definitely overwhelmed.
Now I have inherited things I need to figure out, and struggle to have strong faith in letting go of items for fear we won't be able to replace them. The "what if's".
Now I have 8 loads of laundry waiting due to broken washer/dryer, a sick special needs kid to watch so can't run to the laundry mat. But it's time to tidy other areas! Just didn't know where to start. I do feel more optimistic and motivated now! ❤

Awww hang in there and keep pushing fwd!! You are not alone… just wanted to share a few things things that changed my laundry backload (which was overwhelming and depressing and just made life harder in many ways)
      1. I simplified our wardrobe BIG time. I not only reduced the inventory by half but also reduced or stored the bulky items. I don’t wear sweats or sweatshirts anymore, I donated jeans for my cute old Walmart jeggings, I mostly wear dresses out of the home and wear a nightgown/shirt instead of my big pj sets. I layer when it’s cold and air out sweaters or kid jeans that aren’t soiled, to wear again. This takes up less room and also allows for #2 and 3!
      2. I hand wash lighter items! So we are never without socks, tees, undies, etc. We are in a milder weather state so this may not apply, but being able to hand wash and hang dry items (in bathroom or outdoors) means I don’t have huge backlog and I can have those things clean by next day!
      3. I got a small portable washer! From Amazon, about 100 and fits on my bathroom counter. I can fit a decent amt of items (bc they are way less dense) fill with my handheld shower head and drain right into the tub or sink. There are a ton of videos about them, strongly recommend if you can in your apartment
      4. I sort laundry by type of wash- so as soon as they come off they go in one bin for hand wash/portable wash items (most of our clothes, sheets, smaller towels, hats and scarves etc), and anything that has to go to the laundromat (jeans, coats, sweats, big towels, rugs, bedding) into a bin lined with an easy carry laundry bag
      5. I try to get into the laundromat at least once a week, on off hours (early am, late night, weekdays etc). I keep supplies in the car, and pack a full laundry bag in the trunk with a roll of quarters and laundry pods or small bottle of tide. I can start a mega load, set a timer, go pick up kids from school, come back, switch it over to dry, set a 2nd timer, run another errand and get back before the clothes are done! My kids are a bit older so they can sit in the car right out front until I run in with my bag and bring out dry clothes, usually no more than 3 min. Otherwise have hubby do it or plan to finish while they are at school/with family. If you just do 1 or 2 mega sized loads at a time and go more frequently, it shouldn’t take more than 1-1.5 hrs to finish up (most of that isn’t active time either). If I have the kids I do not bother folding on site! I take the clothes home and handle it as soon as I get inside (and tbh I don’t fold everything either! It’s better done than perfect in my book!) If kids are older they can help match socks or fold their clothes and towels.
      Hope this helps!

I have a bad back. (2 back surgeries) I have learned to pace myself and do at least 1-2 chores a day. Because he works from home I am limited with the noise I can make. LOL. But keep up with things the best I can.

It's required of our kids- as it's my job to train them up (Dad's job too, but you know what I mean 😜) and my hubby is a grown man- I pray as he sees me do things he feel lovingly convicted to join in... 😅 but it's not my job to "train him up" ... so I don't. It's my job to be his partner and helper-- I let it be a way I can serve him. I clearly state the tasks and standard I expect from my kids, and I reassure them and hold them to it. If they don't want to pick up after themselves- then they lose privileges, items, etc... We rarely have a problem with that though as they know what's expected and they are help to those standards. Hope that helps! XO

@@HeavenlyMindedHomeI appreciate your feedback, definitely agree!
One of my daughters has health issues (and some preteen moodiness mixed in) so I'm really struggling to enforce schoolwork and chores. It's been very discouraging. Praying things get better soon.

☕️ Hello! Wondering if you would be willing to share what town you are in? We are Christian homeschoolers in CO looking to move to a more affordable state with a church that is pre-trib rapture and not afraid to talk about that Jesus is coming back soon! We are desiring community and feel we need more financial margin to simply and serve the Lord. Thanks!
