if my memory serves me right, song's melody was by jose mari chan, lyrics by rolando tinio. originally created for celeste but janet ended up singing it and thus, formally launching her to stardom...does my age show? hahaha

just today janet basco visited in my office. at first i really do not know that she was janet basco. i approached her and told her that she is so pretty...and wow! OMG she is the singer of my favorite song "minsan pa'. ang swerte ko naman. she is not only having a golden voice but a very good/soft spoken hearted woman.

i once heard celeste legaspi sang this song in a tv movie and that was the rendition i prefer because celeste was technically skilled in the more quiet portion of this song very much like the way she sang tuliro. janet sang it like it was karaoke at the bar. i was not the one who thumbed this down i swear.
Janet Basco was very young and new that time when she sang this song compare to Celeste Legazpi who was already a professional singer.
