3D Metal Text in 3 Minutes using no plugins || After Effects Tutorial

There are several ways to create 3D Metal Text inside After Effects. Some require plugins, some don't
However, most of them require a bit of time to set everything up, like creating the Extrusion, Adding the Texture, adding lights, reflections, etc., etc.,
In this video, we will create a very quick but convincing 3D metal text in 3 minutes without using any plugins.
This technique is useful especially when you are in a really tight schedule..
Expression to Link the CC Radial Blur Effect to a Null to create the fake 3DExtrusion:
Alt Click the CC radial blur center parameter and write the expression
thisComp.layer("Null").toComp([0,0,0]);
Make sure you replace the "Null" in the above expression with the name of your Null Object
You can use this expression whenever you want to drive/link a 2D value with a 3D value/3D Null

I am sorry. I didn't see your comment till today.. For anyone else with the same doubt I am posting the answer..
You just need a plain Gold Texture Image from Google and use that as a Luma matte for the Text..
Or you can apply some gold color to the text and then apply the fractal noise Text on top of it using multiply or overlay and it should work..!

You cannot rotate the Text 360 degrees not even 90 degrees.. I mentioned that in the video..🙂
