- Hey Guys Welcome Back! If your looking for what works on porcelain to remove stains like hard water stains or even stains from well water then Bar Keepers Friend is what you may be looking for! I am so happy I started using Bar Keepers Friend to clean my white farmhouse porcelain sink. If your anything like me and own a white porcelain sink you know how good it looks when it's clean but when its dirty it just looks like it has all sorts of stains. This Bar Keepers Friend removes all those sink scratch marks that pots and pans make as well as the stains or brown marks from your well water or your hard water. It was super inexpensive and only cost $2-$3 at almost any supermarket or store like Walmart, Publix, Target or Walgreens. Whenever I have to remove a brown stain from my sink or make my white porcelain sink look like new, this Bar Keepers Friend is what I will always use! Hope you guys find this product as good as I did don't forget to tell me in the comments if you've ever used it yourself.

First i want to say thanks for the video! When in doubt always refer to UA-cam University! My wife and i acquired an older house built in the early 70s and its kitchen zink was stained beyond all belief, i was thinking about replacing it but i would have to special order a new zink that would fit, i came across your video so i said what do i have to lose, went to Lowes and bought the Bar Keepers Friend and so magic erasers and now the zink looks brand new again! The lady who owned the home asked where did i buy the new zink and i told her it was the original she almost broke down in tears, she said she tried everything and couldn't get those stains out and that those stains were at least 15yrs old! But thank you again for the video!
Ya, it's an amazing product, after using a spray cleaner (seemingly they'd removed the chlorine from the formula,) I found some old cleansers under the sink that mom (rest her awesome soul,) probably had bought and lo and behold, Bar Keeper's Friend was among them, so I tried it out. WHAT A DEAL!! The porcelain sink with long, deep lasting stains all came back to looking brand-spanking new. I wonder what the active ingredient is, why they recommend no longer than 1 minute for its use and where the heck I'd been all these years without it!?! Thank you for the video - it reaffirms my new loyalty to BKF!

The active ingredient is oxalic acid, an extremely strong acid, so it is very important to follow their directions that you specify :)
OMG I couldn't stand my porcelain sink stains and I never had porcelain sink I didn't know what to do it was choking me the stains that is but I want to thank you for this product I'm definitely going to try it out I was wondering what you sprayed at the end but now I know thanks for that one too 👍☺

Also use it on stainless steel cookware and enamel coated cast iron pots (eg. Le Cruset). Won't scratch.

@@DoubleDaysFamily Just a note, it doesn't seem to do much for linoleum counters or floors.. Did you discover that too? It isn't the same magic - maybe I'm not using it properly but the directions say nothing about linoleum. Very curious - you would think... Hmmm..
Does it work for fabric dye stains on a bathtub? I left a cover for a bed in the bathtub. It was wet. I didn't realize it was staining the bathtub underneath. Now I have fabric dye stains that are a light purple. It was in there for several days

I swear that people should give a gift basket with the absolute ESSENTIALS once someone moves into their first place. A lot of times, kids leaving the nest don't know how their parents cleaned stuff. I would definitely gift this to someone moving out
will this work on my white granite counter tops. My husband used this black dye and its everywhere

Bar Keeper's Friend does not have harsh chemicals in it like Comet, etc. -- so gloves are not essential. A little hand lotion after using would make sense to keep skin from drying out. It is one of the best kitchen cleaning products made. It works like a miracle on the inside bottom of stainless steel pots when they have become badly stained from cooking. I could sell the stuff -- and I'm a guy! :-)

Thank you, I think it must also be stressed you should do a test before using, and that you shouldn't leave it on for more than a minute, to use rubber gloves, try not to breath in because it's really caustic - also I'd wear eye protection as if it gets in your eyes it can be very harmful.

Wow. I was stressing about how to get this sink clean and I have this under the sink but was using on my stove only.
The spray is much better.
Does it work on hard water and rust stains?
I have for sure used it on hard water stains and has made the stain go away. Rust I have not had the same luck with but, worth a try for the cost for sure! Hope that helps❤️

I have tried everything! The sink will not come clean.
Will it work if the sink is yellowish and has scratches?
It may not help with the scratches if they are deep/pronounced however it hay help with the yellow mine usually gets quite yellowish. Give it a shot let me know how it turns out. Also, maybe try diluted bleach and water and let it sit about an hour see if it helps too afterwards. 💕

Dose it work for hair dye stain ?
I am not quite sure honestly. Try some rubbing alcohol first for the hair dye to see if it will come off
