Is there any benefit from using a bowline over the figure 8?

Bowlines are easier to untie after load is applied to them, big falls can make it tough to get a figure 8 apart.

It is completely unnecessary to tie a stopper knot on the figure 8 knot, because it doesnt roll when load is transeversed. The bowline does however.
