Even this .. in the moment, crowd, commentators and all it still felt like it wasn't appreciated enough. I don't know why, I just get that vibe. It's kind of been the story of Lillard's career. I feel like we are all letting this dudes accomplishments and loyalyty to basketball in general pass us by and only when we're all 50-60 will we talk about "Oh yeah, remember Dame? He was cold!".

The problem is he has won anything. Don't matter how great you are, if you don't make the playoffs or get kicked out every year. Then people aren't gonna give you full respect. Unless he wins a title, he's just gonna be another Barkley, Stockton, Ewing, ect. Legendary players that are never looked at fulling at the top because they couldn't win it all. It really does matter.

@Vernon Tang Klay is the better overall shooter. Don't get me wrong, Dame is also somewhere up there in the top 10 but he can't touch Steph or Klay. Klay would've broken his own record Multiple times if it Kerr didn't decide to sub him out before. I Think he even had 13 in 3 Quarters once and got benched for the whole 4zu Quarter.

As someone who appreciates old school basketball and liked more the physical style of play. Ppl need to realize what this guy did in this game. He was 13-21 from 3 and a lot of his shots were far. That’s a 3pt % of almost 62%. If you were a big man and just did dunks,tip ins, baby hooks etc and took 21 shots and made all 21. You would have 42 points with fg % of 100. Only 3 more points more than the 39 points scored alone from the 13 three pointers made. He also was 14-14 from the ft line. This was a GAME. The play style has changed but you can’t deny the shooting skill. Very impressive

His catch n shoot game is next to none but Dames pull up shooting is on a whole other level. Klay don’t come off a screen and pull up at 35ft with a defender in his face like Dame or Steph. Or at least nowhere near as efficiently as Dame does

Damian is one of the best to ever do it, I feel like it's wrong to mention someone else because it feels wrong to take shine off him, but I want to say this, if Kobe played now he would've already broken the (no real evidence/proof) 100pt mark in this the softest era of basketball and 2, I prefer players like Dame over Machiavelic players that assamble superteams to win something or to stack numbers.

The rockets only came back when he was on the bench too. And Donavon Mitchell’s 71 was bs a bunch of free throws and a missed call at the end of the game that shouldn’t have put it into OT otherwise Mitchell would’ve had 54
