Thankyou for this! Where I live we can get anko everywhere, but no shiro-an, and it’s hard to come by dry white beans (but we have plenty of canned). Now I can finally enjoy some of my favourite desserts again! :)

I am wondering if we can use mashed potatoes as alternative. The ingredient texture of Lima bean and potatoes almost are the same
I think you can, it will just have a potato flavor. (Never tasted it so I can't say)
