I gotta hold him accountable. He has so much backup and support mentoring him (Bron and them) He’s making so much money at a young age and has a great size following. He has the opportunity to set the bar for future athletic. I feel like he has to do it or no one else will
Yea he probably lied… but bro is already a millionaire with NIL, so why not try it out? Just make sure they already have a solid team. Black athletes could make HBCU’s empires with all the money they’d bring in over time.
Unfortunately the MEAC, Southland, and SWAC conferences, the three main HBCU conferences, are the worst three conferences in Div 1. There wasn't a single HBCU inside the top 150 in the country last year. So if a top recruit wants to go to a HBCU, more power to him but he will not be going to a high level basketball program.
@@CM-ft9ep A high level recruit going to that conference, winning their conference championship, and making it to the tournament would be a success in my book. Of course there’s a high risk with that though.
Facts he is a kid I am not gonna hold him accountable for making that statement at such an emotional time. Wherever he goes I hope he continues to get the bag for him and his family and has success with getting to the NBA
Hey I think Mike good money wise but you want to play where you gonna get seen as much as possible and got a chance at winning I don't see these kids jumping on a band wagon unless a few 5 stars get together on some team up Thang other wise it's always gonna be them blue grass schools with ncaa clout
Rich you a real one for this because alot of UA-camrs would be afraid to put this on their channel. I remember when Mikey made that long IG post about why he was considering committing to an HBCU and everybody and they mama was RT on Twitter and you had professional athletes chiming in encouraging him to do it. Which I found to be hypocritical as they all elected to attend PWIs (and that's they business) but why put all that pressure on a teenage recruit who's already highly visible. Not saying that Mikey isn't intelligent or anything but I don't believe that he wrote it and I also believe it was a post based on emotion. I feel like it brought out alot of fake, performative activist people, who are selectively WOKE. But you had alot of people invested after that in the sense HBCUs who at one point stopped even offering these 4-star and 5-star players starting pursuing them. Then you had these players listing HBCUs in their top 5 schools knowing damn well they had no intention of attending an HBCU. I felt bad for alot of students and graduates of HBCUs because they was really getting their hopes up. He definitely could attend and still get drafted and do just fine but IDK I just don't see him committing like that. And yes I understand Mikey is young and the brain is not fully developed until 25, so I don't expect him to have it all figured out but I feel like the statement he made was a bit premature and based off of emotion. Either way I think he's gonna be fine wherever he lands.
it don’t even matter just want him to be successful 💯 but i would be like damn why u say that if u ain’t really mean it. this why his dad and his team gotta check ts can’t let him say that stuff esspecially if he not gon consider it fr a year later.
1. If BLM can use the donation money to live in mansions then Mikey can change his mind lol 2. That anonymous GM sounds a lot like Stephen A Smith 😂😂😂😂
Will you be mad if he doesn’t go to an HBCU?
nah, its his choice
Have Mikey ask Makur Maker how that went.
Then have him ask Patrick Baldwin Jr. how going to a small school works out for a 5 star.
i don’t even know it don’t even matter just want him to be successful but i would be like damn why u say that if u ain’t really mean it
