- We are excited for calving season, but if I had to guess, it won't take too long before we get over that...
Welcome to Sonne Farms! On this channel we showcase numerous jobs a Corn/Soybean/Beef producing operation takes on each day. Hop in the cab or sorting alley with Cole, and see how life really is for the people that help feed the US and the rest of the world. In addition to Corn, Soy, and Cattle, Sonne Farms puts up grass and alfalfa and sells pure bred Black Angus Bulls.

Philippians 4:6 - "Worry about nothing, pray about everything. Ask God for what you need, and thank him for all he has given you."
Your dad’s funny, glad to see him getting more camera time!
Love love your relationship with your dad. But you were relieved your dad was the one that dented the wind breaker and not you. Lol. Keep the star in your videos!!
Your father is a great straight man. Every viewer likes this video!
Dad has a great sense of humor!
I enjoy you and your dad ‘s interactions
Really enjoy watching you and your dad work and break chops together.
You and your dad seem to work so well together. Nothing like having fun while working with your dad
Good to see your pops getting his fun times in thanks
Great videos. Informative for those of us who do not farm. I learned as a small child from my grandparents (who were farmers) to pray for our great American farmers regularly. I have for over 60 years now. My thanks to you and your family.
Lovely to see you and your dad having a laugh
Any body else find Mr Sonne(dad) Hilarious cuz I do!! :)
Funny guys!! Later I can teach you what a computer is!!

I wasn't sure this was funny til I read some of the other comments...I am hysterical now-will keep watching.
Good video and nice calving set-up.I hope that you have a trouble free calving season.
Got my hoodie a few days after the release. Very warm, great quality :) love the videos
Thank you! Hope you like it!
Good luck calving. Fingers are crossed for calm winds, frozen ground and healthy calves.
Lol!! Now seeing him run like that!!😂😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice setup you guys have there. Gives me some great ideas. My first calf hit the ground Monday afternoon.
Nice efficient calving setup you have there. I did not realize bacteria could harm newborn calves and learned that from a dairy farming video I saw recently.
Maybe you can talk about calving and the procedures you have to follow once they start. I have watched LOTS of Dr. Pol shows but usually they calve outdoors or in a small barn and he goes there when there are problems.
I believe you have a septic field which is attached to a septic tank. If the field gets full of water ( saturated ) then the tank cannot drain into it. I grew up on a acreage with a septic field and tank and we had that problem. Not much you can do except make the field larger by adding more pipes from the tank. Have to dig up the ground and it is a lot of work.
Good video Cole & dad lol dad was pretty good & funny yal work good together !! Stay safe and warm .hello from Daniel from central Mississippi
Like a lot of your other fans, I was raised on farms deep in our Heartland. Love your vids and the interplay with you and your Dad. Stay young, stay warm and keep filming. God bless us all...
I enjoy watching your channel. You have very good content and like watching you and your dad working together. Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend.
Best videos ever! I definitely think this should be the only content allowed on UA-cam 🇺🇸♥️
I agree Dad, you’re the star of the show, leave the kid at college🤩🤩
Your dad seems to be getting more comfortable with being on the video. Good luck with the new calving season. I remember last year you did a video on pulling a calf and that was interesting to watch.
I am sure we will have more calf pulling videos this year!
Nice to see your Dad 😀👍🏾
Your dad is the best
Cole, a really good video! Bring the "'ole man" in more! The two of you are a South Dakota version of "Laurel and Hardy on the Farm." You are too young to identify with that but your dad might! Does anybody else see the resemblance?
Like seeing your dad on their he sure is talking more on their
Hi! I'm Attila from Europe! My favorite is your dad!go packers
Your dad is priceless......
You're the little nut that fell straight down to the ground from the big tree...both you and your Dad are adorable...😁🤭
The interaction between you and dad is priceless! Keep the great content coming. 👍😀
I really enjoy watching your videos and checking out your setup. I feel like we are behind the times on winter calving here at home. Makes me jealous watching you set up for your girls. Keep up the good work!

Dad I’m back from college.
Oh. Were you gone!
Love the sarcasm. Nice to know your worth with dad. 🥴🤣😂
I saw someone else in my school watching you yesterday. Even though you are a “small” channel, you are still pretty popular here in southwest MN.
It’s pretty cool to see so many local farming youtubers around. There are you guys near Michael. The millennial farmer is up north of here and so is Larsons Farms. I almost want to come and visit you some day.
That is really cool!
The Player : what part of SW Minnesota are you from ? Im from rural Tracy,Mn.
Dennis Hayes. I’m from pipestone.
Haha, You cherish that relationship with your Dad. You guys are good. Thank you for the video and sharing the hard work your family does to feed us.
Another great video!! It’s good to see the work you all put in trying to get ready for calving.
Oh, man, that darned dented windbreak law! I wonder if my friend will understand what I'm doing when I put his John Deere into his to get him compliant, hahaha! Another great video, thanks, Cole - and your dad/co-star, too.
Love the set up you got there Cole
Brazil here enjoying this good farm video, here I work on a farm too
Can't wait to see all the cute baby calves!
Me too!
New subscriber, great channel. Your dad's sense of humor reminds me of a uncle, awesome.
Glad you enjoyed!
Awe your dad 🥺😍 he seems so sweet
your dad absolutely kills me. they have such a great sense of humor.
Great video! Along with everyone else I'm glad to see the interaction with you and your dad. He's showing potential to be funnier than Daddy Cornstar.
We should appreciate our farmers more!
Brian’s on fire in this one!!
Everyone else in the house is trying to sleep and I’m laughing my arse off watching you guys
Glad I'm not the only one that says screw it and beds with the pallet tines sometimes instead of going all the way back to get the grapple fork lol
Your Pops and I have a similar sense of humor...I bet we'd be the only ones laughing at our jokes
Yea he is his own biggest fan!
@@SonneFarms , I am my own fan as well. Thats funny. My kids beg me not to say anything.

Your old man is a funny character! Lol
You guys got it going on... I like your setup. 👍
Love your videos. Have a good day, Cole.
You as well!
Lots of joyful works! Amazing how many things you guys have to do!
Good setup 👍
Thank you!
Good luck calving
Thank you!
Your dad is funny
Nice calving barn 👌
I would cut the center support out of the top and reinforce the top beam, then the cutting edge of the bucket can go under the top beam and use the grapple to keep it there
good idea

We need more dad!!!
I know now where you get your sense of humor do like you and dads interaction.
Didn’t know your Dad had those ninja knife skills 😂
Yea he isn't quite to the black belt yet
I feel that every farm dad has some version of their own riveting humor/commentary lol the first dent is always the most depressing so at least he got that out of the way early!
Haha ur pa is precious!!! Great vid as always! I learn something new almost every vid!!!
Let's see more of your Dad..!!!!
New to this channel. It looks like it could be as much fun as Cole the corn star given the fun interaction between dad and son
Christy here in Donegal Ireland ,love a bit of that snow , make a change from rain
Your dad is hallerious. You guus have a nicr calving barn
When I think of calving season I am reminded of the saying, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
I like your dad, espically when he said, " Where you gone".
In northern MN we calve out in mid to late April usually. To bitter cold to try and do it in February. And most times it’s dry enough by late April up here
Nice setup.
Thank you Douglas
5:05 men who work together stick together and make the world go 'round
I've made a million and one excuses to keep the ball rollin' into GREAT successes together
you need to install french tile in your yard to drain water
Appears you drive home Friday after class. How long does it take, looks to be a bit over 100 miles. Which way do you go, Madison, Artesian, Letcher? What's your vehicle? Enjoy your dad's involvement and the relationship you two have, reminds me of the relationship I had with the farmer I worked for as a younger fellow. We worked long and hard but had fun too. Never forget the look on the custom combiners faces (teenagers like me, from Texas and Oklahoma) when, while eating lunch in the wheat field, he remarked that he'd pay me what I was worth but wouldn't feel right taking money from me. They asked how I could work for a SOB like that. It was all in fun, that's how he and I got along, but they didn't know that. Anyway, I look forward to your videos.
Takes me an hour and 45 minutes. Yup I go through Volga, Madison, Artesian, and then Letcher! I drive a white ford, and my Social Security number is.... wait....
Awesome video as always, much Love from Kentucky!!
Thank you!
@@SonneFarms I was working down in Louisville this past Week, they already had some tractors out for the Farm Show.
@@Marshall_Weber Sweet! Are you planning on attending?
@@SonneFarms Thinking about it, I've been a couple times before, I live about 45 miles East of Louisville.
Y’all have an awesome looking set up.
There are guys in our area that are putting stacks of round bales all the way around their farms for wind breaks.
Getting closer to getting my Massey🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 great video I love me some Sonne Farms videos.
Yes but it is a IH 544
best of luck with calving
Thank you!
@@SonneFarms be great to see the calves when you start
Brian, "I got blue ball." Cole, "That sucks." Brian covered the obligatory joke whenever a man picks up a blue colored ball in the presence of another guy. "Man Rule 93: When you have to carry a large blue ball in the presence of other men you must make some kind of Blue Ball joke." Well done Brian keeping the faith.
