Yes, block power ups are very good in general, but we have to give credits where credits due. Jazzy's playing skill is also a big reason why she seems so strong.

If you guys want advice, I recommend getting empower and other block abilities such as supernova, saw, and static field (healing field is the worst card for this imo). Empower upgrades your next shot after blocking, and if you have any block effects (listed earlier) they will trigger wherever the empowered bullet lands. This is especially good with homing, remote, saw, and static field. Edit: A great bullet build is shields up, tactical reload, and scavenger. You will never reload normally with those cards equipped.
But scavenger is a direct downgrade there? You already instantly reload and block whenever you fire your last bullet, so the only thing Scavenger does is prevent you from getting the block from your last bullet.
@@awesomefuzz4008 Well, why waste your block if you hit your opponent? As long as you do damage, you never reload, especially if you have dot (damage over time).
15:33: Price nooo, that's a good card; with your Overpower it would basically turn your empowered bullet into a splash-damage rocket. It says "where it lands" not "when you hit the opponent".
I always thought I just have a newer update where it says the numbers. But I'm glad to have that setting, because comparing two fast bullet cards or tank and huge is very cool
A few tips: generally, cards of the same color synergize together really well: yellow is quick bullets, grey is evasive ones, blue is melee build, etc. Grow is *really* strong. Shooting like 6 or 7 big bullets at a time basically guarantees a hit. Empower with even one block modifier lets you double your blocks, basically. But also remember that even if you have bombs or saws or overpower your block still deflects bullets and its often better to do that.
@@rafhaelgonzales3436 yeah, i think its yellow = better bullets, blue = tank/melee, gray = accuracy (sneaky, homing, remote), red is chaos (bombs and bounces), green is poison, and purple is devil's contract stuff - high upside and downside
You can change the settings to actually show the numbers associated to the cards. Instead of "a bunch more hp" it will say something like "100% more hp"
@stumptprice: re: Fast Forward ("Bullets keep the default trajectory" 10:28): The bullets move faster, but unlike the other cards that give projectile speed, the arc that the bullets take isn't affected. This means they follow the same path as they did before, but they move along that path faster.
Hey Stumpt crew! Just a quick tip for ya! Demonic Pact CAN NOT kill the user with the 10hp cost! it just reduces your life to 1 and leaves you vulnerable! it can be a very fun ability! Do not be afraid to shoot!
@Deborah Ajao well that really depends on the other player's build, if they wanna go for a melee build then yeah it trash. If they are playing a ranged build then you can get huge and hide behind some boxes. Most op cards are situational but very strong so I understand your point but it still can be very powerful.
Empower (15:26) could have been quite handy for Price to land a shot as every shot would then turn into an Aoe thanks to his blocking ability. In general it sounds like a fun base to build upon

You guys should try stacking Grow (it’s like big bullet but WAY better cause it increases DMG exponentionally) with as much DMG up as possible! The bullets get INSANELY large and nuke the whole map!
Jazzy'a build was actually very good against Rik's. If Rik had instead went for a Sniper-like build, it would have been better. He needed more range, less spray.
OP Combo: Tactical Reload + Shields Up = Infinite Ammo/No Reloading (Tactical Rel. reloads your weapon if you block and Shields Up makes you do a block when you run out of ammo. So if you combine these two if you run out of ammo it triggers Shields Up which triggers a block, that block triggers Tactical Rel. automatically reloading your weapon.) And if you combine these with powers like barrage, spray, and burst you basically become invincible if you keep shooting because you run out of ammo so fast that Shields Up is triggered spontaneously giving you a lot of blocks per second so no bullets can hit you. I honestly want them to add more rounds so bad it would be so much more interesting if you can build more or you have to make your build in the first 5 rounds then adapt your playstyle to the build you have chosen.
I think block builds were so dominant here because Jazzy (the best shot by far) drafted them against builds that have issues with them and you guys didn't know what to do. He picks spray, which synergizes incredibly well with his build, Big Bullets greatly increasing the damage, and Poison badly needing more Ammo. This, however, would still do nothing to keep him alive long enough for Poison to take effect. Brawler, while synergizing mainly with his Poison (it giving Brawler nearly 100% uptime), would have countered Jazzy's build completely and practically given him triple health for the rest of the match, scaling way better. 26:13: Barrage was the worst possible pick, worsening Rik's build greatly. Barrage and Spray are both mostly limited by Reload and Ammo. Using them together devalues your ammo supply (and +4 is quite small when you already have 7) and increases your reload time. Careful planning would have been good since the attack speed drawback is basically nonexistent with spray and the damage up would've been great. Steady Shot would have probably been the best choice, given that bullet speed is really good with spray and big bullets and the HP is amazing.
