yeah i have mx boots too i just dont use it for the ktm i use *street wear gear* like kevlar pants a leather jacket and motorcycle shoes but i do use my whole leg kinda to *kick* it into gear mx style :D

@@ZauxieMoto have had some false neutrals as well but I would say they happen maybe once within 200 shifts or so. Had I think one in the last couple of months of riding. Usually I get them because I did not shift properly. I kind of treat the quickshifter like shifting a dirtbike without using the clutch. You need to put it in with some authority and be conscious of shifting. But then again, it might be different between different bikes..

@@ZauxieMoto After nearly 10k km on my 2020 SMC R I can give you two advices: 1: Try to set the leaver maybe 1-2 positions lower 2: Shift properly and kick that leaver up like a man ! - but don´t break it Last possibility would be to change the spring to a firmer one (Pirate Racing) But if you shift properly the QS works fine
@@mizi268 thanks for the comment Mizi! But thats what i have been doing since i got it basically motocross shifting it :D i don't know if theres a difference between the older models or the 2021/2022's but i hear a lot of people having problems with it
happens a lot with 2015 model, cant use quickshifter from 4-5 and 5-6th at all, goes to neutral somehow but i have used for it and i just keep the shiftlever up longer and off thorttle as well and it fixes it but kinda weirdo
@@ZauxieMoto i did install FACTORY PRO TRANSMISSION DETENT ARM SHIFT KIT (copied the name ofc) and it didnt help at all so i dont recomend it as solution. it has something to do with the gearbox dogs (synchronices for manual gearbox) as they connect. it has to have larger cap between 1-4 and smaller for 4-6, thats what i have experienced since 4-6 just doesnt connect as firmly as 1-4 does, and yes i've riden my 2015 ktm 690 since the day one :D

I get em occasionally with clutch shift also. Usually on 5-6. Or 6-5. Drives me crazy

I rarely get false neutrals, but I do wear mx boots, so that makes the shift a lot more positive I think, as the boots are so ridged.

My 2022 QS seems to have a mind of its own also. The other day it was basically saying FU when I tried using it but today it worked like it should 🤷🤷
yeah i have the exact same issue it does seem to work better if i basically kick it into gear with my whole leg motocross style :D
