Thank you very much Sir. You should have seen the joy from my daughter after the drone rose up after almost a year of down time due to drone blades mismatch
But the prop spin direction can change due to how it is wired and how you set it up in blheli or whatever esc software you run. It makes sense they would have an oriented spin, but when you buy motors, most places you are not buying clockwise or counter clockwise motors, at least not on the cheap end like I buy. Also, every single video I have seen on building a quad just wires them up haphazardly and then uses blheli suite to flip the motors that need flipping, so half the motors on average would have incorrect thread direction. I came to this video to see how tight they had to be so that the torque of the motors would not spin them off, but in 10 minutes you spent more time on prop color than you did on how much to torque that nut down.
Absolutely agreed. All these propr installation videos are retarded. Noone on UA-cam has discussed how to actually install the props, and merely explain the orientation of the props. @@Alluvian567
Hey Mike thanks for the cool little tip about that propellers. You simplify the entire process. I really wish there was a way to direct message on UA-cam because I got a few questions. Thanks a million for your simple explanation EvilMunkey, My drone has been down 8 months and I have switched the props this way and that, I also searched for the proper placement several times and have not found it until you explained it in a way I could understand quickly. Where do you get the things to screw to propeller onto the motor? Is it included with the motor or with the props? Or do you need to buy these seperately?
Hi! Thanks for the video! I have a question about tightening the props. On my quadcopter after I put the props on and then tighten the nut, the propellor still feels loose. i.e. if i spin the motor with my hand, the propellor does not spin. I tightened the nut as much as I could so I dont know what the problem could be. Do you have any idea what it could be?
question, I have a 3 inch alien with HQ props and the Lock nut does not go all the way down to the prop, it stops turning about halfway and leave space in between.. what should I do? I'm scared to break the motor
I have a racer like that. It has very small hyperlite motors. You can use just small metal washers from like the hardware store. Just take it with you so you get the right fit.
If the motors are upsidedown on the bottom for a cine whoop 2.5 is it the same idea? Is it opposite? Do the letters in the props face down or up? I'm so confused. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

I also have the Bfight 210. I reversed the motors so I don't get crap thrown into my camera. I used the props and nuts that came with it. My first flight it flew about 50' and a prop came off and I lost a nut. Another prop and nut was loose! When the motors are reversed, what do you do when it came with prop nuts that are made for the props going the other way? With them reversed, they untightened themselves in seconds! Simply won't work with these prop nuts. And, I want to fly with reversed props. What do I do? Thanks!

Because if they all spun the same way it would just flip to one side and never take off. You have to have a balance of propeller wind down.

What difference does it make if ccw and cw motors are changed, so back-right would start with ccw? I saw it like that in anpther tutorial...
This is just the standard Betaflight setup. You can go props out too. Either way just more setup and programming
If that's the case, then it doesnt matter if camera is facing toward or away from you.

What about the nut, how do you tighten correctly?
The nut tightens the opposite way the prop turns. So CW is reverse thread and CCW is normal thread
